I plan on starting my own practice in the new year. My reason. Is to be able to work from home and double my income. (Currently I am admin in an accounting office, working on someone else's schedule for a lot less than I want.)
Yes, working toward paying off about 10,000. I have been doing well with it. I am starting a bookkeeping biz to replace my husband income for when he retires.
Going to start hopefully by summer to put money aside for a future VRBO purchase. (Debt free...so working on retiring early)...this will be a great side gig I hope!
I too am on the Dave Ramsey plan, but I want to also pay off all real estate. 36 years old with two small children and I have two successful brick and mortar restaurants. I understand finances and am very much looking forward to selling all of it and leading a less demanding life as a bookkeeper and eventual CPA after graduation. Your videos are inspiring in every sense.
I'm working on becoming a bookkeeper because we have debt that needs to be paid off. I am a stay at home homeschooling mom to 5, and my husband works outside the home. His job is really stressful, and I'm wanting to help alleviate some of that finance-related stress from him.
This is so inspiring to watch. Been doubting myself if I can start my bookkeeping business. I do have an accounting degree, but torn between being an employee or be an independent bookkeeper.
That's great! I think ultimately having your own business give you the most flexibility and earning potential... but starting out working for someone else (for a time) is a great way to get experience.
This is great! I was feeling a little discouraged. I just started this side hustle due to taking Financial Peace a second time. I searched for bible quotes for motivation and then this video popped up on youtube.
I always saw myself as a business owner and in my previous job I was working as an accounting specialist and figured opening my bookkeeping business was the way to go! My husband and I are actually trying to save up money in order to start our journey with surrogacy. I opened my bookkeeping firm in March of this year and have been searching through upwork and emailing small businesses in the area to find my first client. Unfortunately, I haven't had much luck trying to land my first client but I am hopeful that soon enough it'll happen!
That's awesome--such an important "why" to have. :) Thanks for sharing your story! I did make a video on ideas to get clients... here's the link if you haven't watched it yet. Best of luck to you! th-cam.com/video/v92DBK9dbLA/w-d-xo.html
Hi. I just started my bookkeeping business. Similar to you I want to get out of Debt. Married with 1 kid. The goal is to have the option to leave my 9-5 by my 33rd birthday. Making $100k+ at that point. 🤩 I enjoy your videos and watched a lot of them before I opened my biz. Thank you for creating this channel.
I want to own a business. At some point, I would like to complete my accounting degree, and I feel like bookkeeping will allow me to work in the field without a degree.
We're doing Ramsey right now! I'm learning how to start up my own bookkeeping business, thanks to finding your videos! We're currently trying for a second kid, and I want to stay at home with our next kid like I did with our first, and I would love to still be able to contribute while staying home. My goal too is at least $1,000 a month too! Thanks for all your videos :)
I'm finishing up my bachelor's in business management/accounting, and I'm prepping to start my own bookkeeping business this year! The goal is to bring in some extra money to pay off debts and save while my husband is still working, and once I have enough clients to sustain us, my husband will quit his FT job and either do school for what he wants, or we'll move straight out to a homestead and I'll work from home while hubby works out in the fields (our dream) ❤
Hi Morgan, your story is so inspiring, I am looking to start bookkeeping to generate more income, I just started my budget to pay off my cc. I also want to start my own business and have more time freedom, and be able to help my family. Living paycheck to paycheck is draining. Thank you for all your videos!
Thanks for all you do! Cant wait for your course to open up again... my goals are to pay down debt and work towards getting my accounting degree when the kids are in school. I just started my bookkeeping business and have a lot to learn.. but I have one client with 3 accounts so I'm feeling hopeful!
I absolutely loved hearing your story! We also did the Baby Steps, which allowed me to securely walk away from an amazing job to pursue my passion of owning my own business. I love your videos. Thanks!

I wanted to be an accountant and took alot of classes in accounting but did not finish had to take care of my family ... I am now looking at trying to get out of the school system and have my own business in bookkeeping. Scared and lacking confidence plus finances til I can make up the income.
I live in CA today. I am a Business Administrator and Accountant from my country BR - graduated twice. After 4 years living in Canada I wanted to work in my area (my experience is in Finances from Brazil), so I went back to college to study Bookkeeping. Heading 3 weeks towards the end of my course now, I plan to do be a Home based Bookkeeper but..... I am afraid. I live in a small community, people don't trust easily. I am happy for finding your channel. Thank you! P.S. also post graduate in Finances. Give an extra encouragement please! Tks again

We bought a Dave Ramsey DVD course. The first month, our expenses magically dropped by $1,000, which more than paid for the course. In five years, we were debt-free and life totally changed for us. Dave Ramsey is the real deal.
I'm interested in becoming a bookkeeper because I want to get out of manual labor and be able to work from home, especially since gas is getting expensive, but also to help take care of my wife and not have to take off work in doing so. I just signed up for quickbooks online accountant for the free training to get to learn it. I've been trying to do research as far as places to take curriculums, and I have to say I liked your video on places to get certified and learn bookkeeping. I don't really make enough to do everything I want to do currently and am gonna be hardpressed staying where I am at to make more than $16/hr. I've been doing construction for awhile but more like learning different things but not having alot of experience in one thing except for maybe drywall work. Sorry for the long comment. I have watched several of your videos in the past couple days and have enjoyed them.
