    Thank you for the video. Just a quick question sir. Where can I buy the tool you used to apply the fabric to the toe? Looks very useful.

    I was told today by the podiatry nurse at the first redressing post avulsion NEVER to wet the toe. I referred to various NHS leaflets. She said, they're wrong. The correct way is to remove the previous dressing, check for redness, signs of infection. If still weeping, cover with a new dressing and tubular gauze. Otherwise stop redressing at that point. So should I bathe the toe for 5 mins in salinated water or not?

      Did you bathe it?

      @@eamonn2886 Following instructions from the podiatry surgeon I gently wiped the nail bed with pre-saturated saline wipes. Then I let the toes air dry before putting on a fresh tubular bandage.

      Unless it’s infected, no.

    I have a question: What is the average recovering time for toenail removal?

    • @allinonemovies2099

      Just in 2week

      It took 6 weeks for me before I could walk with no pain.

    • @pepsifreak67

      @@SuperLittleTyke It took me 6 weeks to fully recover from that experience. Two doctors including my GP and the surgeon refused to give me a sick note, which was needed for my employer to give me temporary layoff. I lost couple of weeks work and money because of their refusal. If I knew then what I know now, I should have sued my doctor. Thankfully, she is a thing of the past.

    What size tubular bandage is suitable for a big toe? and what is that padded shiny size guaze called?

    • @Asa-wv1zb
      @Asa-wv1zb 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Size 12 for the big toe on the tubular gauze. The pad with shiny side is called a non-stick dressing. The shiny side makes it not stick to your wound as easily. If it still has gotten attached through fluid that has dried onto the dressing you can start the 5 minute foot soak by dipping the toe with the dressing on so it will losen away from the toe on it's own by getting wet and then carry on with the 5 minute soak in the salty water.

      I had mine removed too. But did you doc not use local anesthesia? Cuz in majority of cases, you continue to feel the pain you felt during the surgery
