Thank you for the interesting stream and your great channel with lots of interesting record presentations that enrich my collection. It also helps me to brush up on my school English, which has been rusty for 40 years. Best wishes from Germany. ❤
Just a little aside. I'm hoping you had yourself a merry little Christmas. I'm looking forward to what you got coming in 2025. Thanks for all your do Scot.

Awesome! show Scot .My 3 picks of 2024 (1)"The Like of Us" by Big Train Train (2)"Light at the End" by Myth of Logic (3)"Motion Carries" by Emerald City Council.A great year Scot👍
Awesome Scot. What a year it's been for THE PROG STREAM !! Loved every minute , wish you every success in the coming year for it too. Great chat and guests as per usual good buddy. Cheers 🍻 and good health. 😍🎵🎵🤘
First time I couldn't watch the show live, but glad I've seen it now. I have to do some homework with so many interesting albums in 2024, but the new ones from Jon Anderson, Big Big Train and The Cure are really good. Merry XMas and happy new year to the Prog Corner community!
I had to duck out of the live stream and chat, but I'm all caught up now.. Thanks to all on the panel today. The show continues to improve and I am humbled to be associated with and subscribing to all of you. Special thanks to Wayne for adding "Light At The End" to his list. You hope that your music reaches somebody and when it does it's very rewarding. Thanks also to Scot for piloting this boat through rough seas and calm harbors. Cheers to all and have a wondrous 2025. More Myth Of Logic to come... Here is my Top 8 for the year of 2024 - 1. IQ - The Archive Collection: The IQ Weekender 2024 Box Set 2. Frost* - Life In the Wires 3. Big Big Train - The Likes Of Us 4. IZZ - Collapse The Wave 5. Emerald City Council - Motion Carries 6. Jon Anderson & The Band Geeks - True 7. Tony Levin - Bringing It Down To The Bass 8. Madrigal Project - The 11th Hour
@@sljulio Thanks! I wasn't as absorbed with current releases as I should have been which is reflected in the short list. When I'm in writing mode I tend to shut out everything except established favorites. There were simply too many new releases this year to keep up with. Maybe I'll have a more complete list be this time next year...
I didn't buy too many new 2024 releases, but out of the ones I did get, my top 3 would easily be; 1) Jon Anderson & The Band Geeks "True" 2) Jadis "More Questions Than Answers" 3) The Pineapple Thief "It Leads to This"
@ oh ok. It will be mostly an education for me bc I’m new to recent prog. But if you allow people to recommend negligible products on your channel, I’m sure I can add something of value, if not erudite, I’m good for a witty observation
@ Also FYI I’m a musician, for almost 50 years, and I frequently have a contrary opinion of favorite artists, albums, songs. More often than not you and I share the same opinion. I will try to edit myself bc I can be quite a buzz kill to the popular opinion people. I don’t want to be the cause of any detraction from your inevitable ascendancy.
Great episode, it's always fantastic to see how people have different opinions, but I must admit your list, at least for me, is the best . You already know my lists, but here are eleven albums I've heard and purchased later and they should have been on them , jazz or prog. 1. Nik Bärtsch's Ronin - Spin 2.THYMESHIFT - Dark Lights 3. Zeitgeber - Fellow Prisoners of the Splendour and Travail of the Earth - Part 1 4. Beledo - Flotando en el vacio 5. Jupiter Fungus - Garden Electric 6.MARTA SANCHEZ TRIO - Perpetual 7. Ekathe - Void1686 8. epic soul kitchen - GOLDEN GREEN 9. Misha Panfilov Septet - To The Mesosphere And Beyond 10.Muriel Grossmann - The Light Of The Mind 11. Mário Lopes - QUIMERA
Shout out to Wayne. I am a massive leprous fan. I agree with the group melodies, of atonement is not a top tier album but I would say sunken ship is the best song of the year. That song is unbelievable. I rank aphelion as their best album. I also think arcana and the frost from pinapple thief should get more love.
Hey Scot! Forgot to mention what a cool shirt you have on for the livestream. The unboxing vid is almost at 1400 views! Better than the previous two unboxing vids. For those who haven't watched the current one please check it out. Hope everyone has an incredible 2025! Happy New Year and Happy Prog to all!!!🎉🎉🎉👍☮️👑🐍🙏😎
No good records this time too poppy but I respect your choices and I love this channel my choices are Papangu ,Sleepytime gorilla, Tusmorke and Alex Carpani band. plus Opeth
Unbelievable to me that almost the entire prog community on TH-cam has missed the greatness of PRR's "Coming Up To Consciousness"! Loaded with ear worms and a masterpiece dealing with life's big questions. Don't miss the 5.1 mix, either! Best of the year!

Great show and channel....Why is everyone missing the film composer and progressive symphonic pop of Willie Dowling and his Jackdaw4 albums?....Cats in Space is taking him in tour to open and everything he releases is the best of the year. He is the best melodic prog pop songwriter going nowadays since Andy Partridge. If you like Mike Keneally, XTC at their peak, Rosalie Cunningham, The Last Dinner Part, Magdelana Bay, Thank you Scientist and so many others, check him out. Most of his releases, including the great JackDaw4 albums and The Dowling Poole albums are on Bandcamp and are available everywhere.
The JOIN button seems to only appear on certain devices running certain browsers. Annoying!!!! And payment is made to me via TH-cam’s Partnership Program. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Not sure about favorite prog, but just favorite in general (no order): 1. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - No Title As Of 13th February 2024 28,340 Dead 2. Guided By Voices - Strut Of Kings 3. The Cure - Songs Of A Lost World 4. Geordie Greep - The New Sound 5. Neil Young/Crazy Horse - Early Daze
Interesting that Prog Magazine's writers, normally great champions of the newer prog bands, had David Gilmour's Luck and Strange as their top Prog album this year. Well crafted, beautiful guitar, hugely professional but rarely anywhere near prog and not even the best 'veteran' album this year - Jon Anderson probably wins that award. Meanwhile, I'm fairly set on Ritual, Opeth and Pure Reason Revolution as my top 3.
Great show! Thanks to Scot and Kevin for all you guys have done for Emerald City Council this year. You guys are the best!!

At what point do Wayne’s poor recommendations lose him a place at the table?
Pure Reason are always worthwhile IMO
New Big Big Train disappointing for me
We missed you!!!!
Great picks from all concerned. Wondered if Cody or Notes were going to mention Blood Incantation or not. All the best for 2025
I was surprised they didn’t come up!!!
I have similar taste as Notes. Thanks for his invite, Scot. Except no growling ever…ever!
Notes is awesome. And the growls are not!!!!
Cool to hear everyone’s diverse selection of picks. No slight to any of the other panelists, but my favorites aligned most closely with Cody.

Excellent!!!
Opeth were trying to make Metallica jealous by having Ian Anderson on their latest album. ;)

Big Big Train is disappointing

Kevin has to adjust his mic. Embarrassing distortion from Prog Radio
