쇼핑몰: 사실 별로 없어서.. 5번가 몰이 제일 번화가에 있고, 잡다하게는 Dimond Mall, 놀러가기 재밌는 곳은 Kohls 가 있는 Muldoon 쪽이에요!
체험: Matanuska Glacier, Phillips 26 Glacier Cruise, Whittier (굴타고 들어가는 곳), Hatcher Pass, Flattop (하이킹), Beluga Point에서 벨루가 찾아보기, 겨울에 Alyeaska에서 스키타기! Seward Aquarium 가서 바다사자보기!
지금 하지를 향해 가고 있다보니 좀 어둡고 외로워지고 그러기 쉬운데, 꼭 비타민 D 챙겨드시구, 햇빛 짧아지기 전에 하이킹 많이 다녀보시길 추천드려요 :)) 그리고 학교 밖을 나서게 되면 꼭 혼자 다니시지 말구 다른 사람이랑 같이 붙어다니시는 걸 추천해요! 앵커리지는 사실 걷기 좋거나 치안이 좋은 도시는 아니라서.. 꼭 차 타시기를 추천드려요! 아 그리고 혹시라도 12월에 조금 더 길게 계시면, 오로라 검색해서 새벽에 볼 수 있는지 확인해보세요 :)) 운이 좋으면 그냥 밖에 나갔는데 오로라가 떠있을 때도 있어서, 버킷리스트 중 하나면 꼭 보시는 걸 추천드려요. 안전하고 행복한 유학생활 되시길 바래요!

Agree. One of the golden rule is to never get in a stranger's car. My jaw drop the first 10 seconds into the video when you immediately accepted that stranger offer. That's how a lot of girls goes missing. Please be safe.

DARCIEEEE,never ever go for a ride with strangersssss,,,also BONUS TIP : whenever you are calling a uber and it arrives never ask " is this the uber?" always ask " who's this uber for?" as someone could fraud you and it can also be very scary
I don't want to make the comments warning you to scare or create fear while you're in Alaska.. but GIRL ITS SERIOUS! Please be careful when getting a ride from people you don't know, even if it's on campus or in a densely populated area. I was shocked on how fast your response was to the ride offer. As same people said in the comments, this is an entirely different country. You're lucky that you've encountered a genuinely good person, but there are also bad people depending on where you go, and again, even if it's on campus! Please keep these in mind and stay safe. 🙏

omg please dont get into a car with strangers its not as safe as Korea ik chances are low but better be safe than sorry even if the person said they live closeby or goes to your school.Also dont tell strangers you are new to an area ik coming from a generally safe country this may seem excessive but we live in a society where even a mother killed her own kid pls be careful girl
like many others have said, you should be careful getting into strangers cars, especially if you are alone in a foreign country. crime rates vary depending on where you are, but it can happen anywhere

Like everyone said in the comments, You gotta be careful darcie, you can’t just enter anyone’s car because there’s some bad people out there but i’m glad it was someone nice that offered you a ride, but don’t do it again unless you actually personally know them. 대문자 I인 내향인은 두려움없이 외국인과 너무나 자연스럽게 대화할 수 있는 언니가 너무 부럽슴댜,,, 저번 브이로그에도 잼버리로 온 외국인 학생들이랑 인사하고 동영상까지 같이 찍는 모습 넘 부러웠어여 ㅜㅜ 저도 지나가면서 잼버리 왔던 학생들 있길래 막 누룽지도 나눠주고 맛있는 거 주면서 대화하고 싶었는데 너무 쑥스러워서 대화는 커녕 인사도 못했거든요 🥹
저는 오히려 한 번 보고 안 볼 사람들이니까 더 잘 대화하는 것 같아요! 한 번 시도해봐요 그 벽을 한 번 깨면 인생이 더더더 알록달록해져요~!
I'm not even done watching the video yet, but the timing of this is so perfect. I just moved abroad (Japan) from the US as well, so even though Alaska and my state Kansas are super different, it's still so fun and comforting to see you having such a similar experience as me with how different and strange everything feels, but with things that are familiar to me. I almost cried seeing the snack aisle in Walmart ngl 😂😭
One thing about America no matter where you are you can have similar experiences

@@togetherbreakfast5456 lmao no worries I ask myself the same thing constantly 😂😂 my dad's family has lived in kansas since they immigrated to the US generations ago because a whole lot of Swedish people moved there, and I just stayed in my hometown until moving to Japan lol

Darcie, I hope you are enjoying your time in the U.S. I want to recommend Utz Pretzels for snacks. Kind of basic but they are my go to comfort food, I ate them constantly during my college years, still do. Also I want to recommend a show called Deadliest Catch. It's a fishing show that's filmed in Alaska. Have fun and good luck on your studies!

I live in the U.S. and recently came back from Korea.
When I came back to the U.S. and I was waiting for my taxi, I saw a Korean girl just leave all of luggage unattended to look for something. I didn't know her, but I stood from a distance to make sure nobody took her stuff. She struggled putting all her luggage, so I helped her out. I also told her, "This is not Korea, you shouldn't leave your stuff alone. People will steal it." She thanked me for helping her.
I'm sure you'll be fine, but just be aware of your surroundings.

Spicy carrot - 러시아에서 일명 코리안 샐러드라고 불리는 당근채 샐러드... 정작 한국인은 첨 듣는데 고려인들이 만들어 먹던 거라 이름이 그래요. 실제로 좀 매콤함
맞아요 당근김치라고 중앙아시아와 러시아에 있는 요리입니다. 우리나라 짜장면과 비슷한느낌입니다.
그 spicy carrot은 옛날에 고려쪽인가 무튼 거기에서 러시아쪽으로 이민을 갔는데 배추가 없어서 대신 당근으로 담군 김치가 러시아 사람들에게 유행을 하면서 우리세대 까지 온거죠 (달씨님이 이미 아는 사실일수도 있으시지만 모르실수도 있으셔서 대충 설명해 봤습니당)

I am here because of the idea of seeing Korean lifestyle TH-camr in Alaska. I think it would be fun. I would think it would be last place they would go to.
Hey, you popped up on my video list cause you’re in the anchorage area. I also live out here. If you ever need help please reach out! I moved out here about a year and a half ago and it gets cold and boring during the winter (especially if you’re like me and don’t really do winter sports). Im sure you will be fine but I know how it is to be somewhere unfamiliar. I usually study at the Starbucks off of debarr, the people are nice and it’s spacious. So yeah, good luck to you and your adventures in Alaska! Make sure to get out and explore! (:
