It’s a shame that American and European marketers cut out so much content out of the original Japanese game, I just played an International version from Project Nemo and I’m very grateful to them for what they did , because US/EU Namco were supposed to do this back in the 1999
The intro cutscene is the only thing in AC3 that, in my opinion, doesn't turn all in favor of the JP version. Sure, the international intro has absolutely no references to characters and is way shorter than the JP one, but I really like it. This of course doesn't change the fact that the JP version of the game as a whole is vastly superior to the international version.

Its ironically the game with the most story in the series besides 5 and Zero
Japanese version is definitely better. More missions, real story mode and other.
