I am using Acrylic paints which typically have a Matte finish. I am engaged on a special project to paint a plastic item that requires a High Gloss "showroom" finish. Is it better to add Gloss Medium to the paint? or is better to use a Gloss Varnish after painting? (or both....)

My wet palette smells funny now 🤣 Vallejo paints started it or might need water/paper swap. Put the blame on tools.😆 🤣 There's some glaze medium in Vallejo colors from factory, glaze medium separated fast from the paint, but could be mixed again after separated, after being good while on wet palette. Mostly played with blacks, so far. Brush Shampoo and thinned IPA with slight spinning motion on paper towel will make my brushes clean as new. I Like Giving long baths to my brushes too. 😆 🤣 😂
