Tim, been watching your videos for last yr or so.. My younger brother is Timber dealer here in Georgia (West Central). He had 2 full time crews himself up until about a yr ago. He sold that equipment to the guys (2 Father/Sons combos that ran each crew) that operated crews, etc. He just strictly buys timber now from land owners...he keeps 9 (NINE) full time logging crews working. Our late Dad was in the Timber business for about 35 yrs. He was a Timber Cruiser and bought the wood for the Companies (of course you know what this consist of) Our Dad started for Great Southern Paper Co. In 1967.. early/mid 70's.. Great Northern Nekoosa Corp. bought GSP.. 1990 Georgia Pacific bought GNN..Daddy retired in 1995.. then worked for a local Timber Dealer till 2002.. That's really how younger brother got into Timber business (started out in land reclamation for GP through our Dad) .. He has been in/around Timber business since 1992 when he graduated College. I, myself, went into the Elevator trade in a Union job in Atlanta for Otis Elevator (retired in 2016 w/ 32 yrs service).. I do get out there and help my younger brother whenever he needs a hand (he does do the trucking for 3-4 of his loggers .. I drive a Mack or Peterbilt when he needs a driver) .. Truly enjoy your videos as I understand ALL aspects of what your crews are doing.. all the "headaches" too!! that go along w/ logging... Folks TRULY just do not realize how MUCH of their life is related to those trees being taken down and WHEREVER they go from the woods!!.. Be SAFE brother!!!.. ENJOY your videos.. makes me think of my late Dad so Much!! MUCH RESPECT to YOU!!
Wishing you and your family a blessed and safe Merry Christmas,Tim. Really impressive how you take all that happens in good stride. You’re one cool cat, brother.
Tim looks like you need to barrow the that old John deer cable skidder, and pull wood around the clock. 😆 The only good to come of that would be to remind you boys of how good you got it with those newer machines.
New or old . 100 years old or made yesterday if its man made you will have problems . Some are lucky and never have problems . I had a friend bought a car new 54 miles on it . Drove it home and on way home motor locked up . It turned out to be a something was in oil pan from factory and clogged oil pump. Moral of it is nothing in this world is made perfect . Tim im glad you guys were able to get it out and send it to be fixed. There are a lot of skidders around my area sitting in the woods that caught fire and burn up and just had to leave there. Just last year a knuckle boom loader burn up just down the road and it is still there. Stay safe guys and Happy holidayx.
Well Tim, when it rains, it pours, LOL. If it was easy, everyone would do it. Be nice to the 630 and the 437, and the processor too! Running out of spares! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
you often mention the travel the rear suspension has but the videos really never tell the tale. this trailer loading REALLY shows how much travel the 2 rear axles have. 19:01 is a good example.
Tim the Thursday before Thanksgiving my bobcat went down and I knew it was a fuel injector problem. It was a week and 2 days before we got it back to running. Then the next Tuesday after Thanksgiving the unversible joint when out in my work truck and it took a week to get parts for it cause it not only broke the U joint it also broke the carrier bearing and the piece that bolts to rear end and we found after we got it a part that the 2 u joint of 3 total was broke too. So I understand what goes on with this equipment. Have a merry Christmas. Have a good day and be safe.
Always something isn’t it If you run something long enough it’s going to break down Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas! Stay safe and stay well 🙏🏻👍🏻
Sorry to hear about the 635 breakdown. Really interested in knowing what caused so much backpreasure. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Hope you have a good one eh.
my hydraulic filter blew off my tractor in the middle of plowing this 3 foot storm in vermont. lucky i got a spare. breather got clogged up. 42 year old tractor

Good morning gotten top 3 I am not saying nothing bad about your skidder but I know how good the rember jack skidders was and if I was in the logging business I think I would go find me a timber Jack 450 enclosed cab big tires have it completely restored from the blade to the back plate do a large big gravel and I think I could excuse much woozy tree farmers and tiger

I’m surprised he didn’t have the dozer follow for safety. Alls well that ends well.
Does Chad keep that kitchen knife stuck in the dash of the 635 to fight off the Cottonheaded-rattle moccasins?
That dozer is a handy machine to have around. Would you guys be lost without it?
Logging got to love it
I'm not sure if I missed it but is this one of those videos he doesn't say later tators . It happens and has many videos he makes he can make a few without it

It has more problems that a relief.
Nothing sweet an nothing comes easy

Sounds like a valve issue, let's hope it is and not something eating itself. Well, Merry Christmas anyway!
Time for a new one.
Is Johnny your salesman from B&G?
I have known him for years! He got that job because of how good he was on a Bell cutter.

No Later Tater?

Too bad you have problems but it does make good videos. I hope the problem isn’t as major as it looks.
This man worked his butt off to get 98k subscribers and most of his videos only 30k of those will watch his stuff🤔

When it rains it pores in equipment troubles.Good luck on repairs.

Going to go ahead and drop the coins for the new motor while it is down? 💰💰💰
No because it’s prolly gonna cost 20k or better if it’s what we think it is.
@@cotontop3
That's seriously OUCH!!!!
@@cotontop3 ouch, that ole cummins is going to have to hold out a little longer then. Good luck and Merry Christmas.
I hate to hear of any breakdowns. My skidder is a 648E so it has lots of hours. If I could afford another one I'd be rich.
Continuous breakdowns are very irritating and costly. Sorry about the string of crappy luck you guys are going through.
