It’s weird because those moments were the strongest I’ve ever felt in my life, but they’re juxtaposed by the external reality of the situation. I’ve never thought about it as beautiful, but I can kind of see it through your comment.
It was also at that point where I just knew she would be okay. Yes, there’s going to be a long recovery for her, but once you feel that fire within you, it’s forever. You will refuse to be broken by the person who hurt you, even when that damage lasts

@@Milkman0101as a child abuse survivor I feel this in my bones, my mother and brother would use gaslighting, manipulation, neglect, and sometimes for fun a lot of violence, even during those moments where my brother beat me, smashed my head into walls and strangled me, I NEVER begged and refused to break. He was sadistic and wanted me to beg, but I refused to beg, refused to cry, refused to submit. I escaped at 18, have never looked back (am 33). I have permanent nerve damage to my lower abdominal wall (lower stomach/pelvis from repeated kicking) and cPTSD, I shouldn’t have those kind of battle scars but I do, they’re part of me.
It’s helped me in some weird way when dealing with wannabe bullies in life, through college, university and work (before my nerve damage got too much, mostly housebound/bedridden disabled but that’s okay) because bullies want you to submit and cower in fear… but the way I grew up I just straight up didn’t fear these wannabe Mean Girls, I’d stare them down and challenge them, if they want to be bullies then they need to _try_ and break me and that won’t be happening, this happened moreso in college/uni (I dunno what it is about educational spaces and bullies but good LORD), and some kitchens I worked in with chefs unhappy in life trying to take it out on their staff.
Those intense moments going through actual hell where you’re barely holding onto consciousness? The one thought that always ran through my brain was “he will not break me, I refuse”.
I hope Chamilla is able to heal and knows just how strong she truly is, that she has a fighters spirit, that she’s a warrior, and even if the scars last a long time or maybe forever, she can’t be broken, she’s incredibly strong and brave. I hope she holds onto that feeling because it’s an incredible feeling to hold onto when going through your darkest day. Like battling cPTSD isn’t fun but I combat it with “but I’ll never be broken, this trauma sucks and I have to live alongside the trauma, but I’ll never have my spirit broken”, it’s hard to explain just how much that feeling really helps.

If they do go to jail for a few minutes, we have some of the nicest prisons in the world. 3 meals a day, TV, a gym, libraries, visitors, ect all on the US taxpayers dime. Commissary is for extra little treats here. Without it you can still survive just fine. Bullying is destroying somebody's homework, taking somebody's lunch money (even though it is technically theft or robbery) or systematically harrassing another student. Thank God they didn't kill her. I think Camellia is very brave and I'm glad she spoke out. I hope she's doing alright. I feel weird using the word "lucky," but she really is lucky to be alive.
These monsters should be in prison for the rest of their lives. They tried to kill her, that's what they wanted to do. I don't really see a difference between attempted murder and murder...The intention was the same. And trying to light someone on fire? My God! That has to be one of the most brutal ways to kill a person. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I was a teenage girl, I went through petty beef and was bullied, but I never wanted to physically harm anyone. There is something seriously wrong with these people.
I know "The Hangover" is a comedy, but there's a line from it that I think about a lot in situations like this. When Stu is breaking up with his fiancee he says, "You're just a bad person. Like, all the way through to your core." There are people like that in the world and it's really scary.

Sweet Camilla I’m so so sorry that you had to endure the pain and trauma of what you went through but please know you’re stronger than most for not only surviving this attack but reporting it so that maybe just maybe no one else will go through the same cc!!! Mm

Helen is the poster child of Bullying and entitled behavior and she probably learned it from her parents. She is going to be like that as a adult too and is going to do life in prison someday.

At the risk of sounding very ignorant, why is bullying in the Asian countries the way that it is? so extreme and so physical. Bullying exists everywhere in the world of course, but the bullying stories from Korea, China and Japan sometimes go beyond simple bullying, its assault at best and at worst attempted murder and the bullys and parents expect no consequences . Why is it like that?

I had a former class mate tell me I saved the entire class when I moved and started 6th grade. Everyone in that class was under the heal of a girl called Therese.. She was a mean and poorley raised girl who I believe never got to be a better person.. I just didnt care about all the crap she tried to do to me and I stood up for everyone she harrassed. I am 46 years old but I am still proud over hos I was able to handle that situation.. I dont know how things turned out for my old class mates but I hope they are all doing great.. exept for Therese 😂😂

Helen is a psychopath, usually anyone arrested and going to trial will look somber and repentant, at the very least look like they are taking this seriously. Her smirks, glares, interrupting the victims statement, and laughter to her boyfriend prove she wasn’t the least bit sorry. Camilla obviously had suffered greatly at their hands for who knows how long in school. My heart breaks for her and knowing several got off by fleeing the country is disgusting. I can only hope they are known online and that Chinese citizens give them a taste of bullying back as justice. Prayers to Camilla and her family, I can’t imagine their pain and anguish of sending their daughter to a foreign country, believing that she would be cared for and protected and for such evil things to be done to her, the weight of those wounds must be a heavy burden.

It baffles me how some parents consistently believe their children can do no wrong, even when it’s CLEAR that they have. To be honest, this type of “parenting” is defo what’s made their children engaging in problematic behavior in the first place, as they likely think they’d never have to face accountability for their actions
