Here's how I lost weight: (BTW I have a prescripted diet, but my doctor said that everyone can use it and loose minimum 1kg a week. 1 kg may seem a little but it's a healthy way of losing weight) Cut out snacks and fizzy drinks. Cut out red meat and EAT MORE FISH INSTEAD. Also eat Greek yogurt instead of regular. If you get hungry in between meals eat a couple of cucumber sticks or 12/13 unsalted nuts. Cherry tomatoes, not regular. Cut out carbs to minimal amount. Eat berries instead of fruits. Have smaller portions than usual of course. Drink 1.5L - 2L of water everyday. No night snacking. VEGGIES ARE IMPORTANT. Also if someone is interested in my diet I'd happily share here precisely what I eat 7 days a week. :)
Realistically to lose weight all you need to do is be in a calorie deficit, which means you are burning more calories than you are eating. Because at then end of the day it’s a lifestyle change and it’s not sustainable if you never eat junk food or high carb foods again..... so as long and you are eating within your calorie goal for the day then you definitely shouldn’t restrict yourself because that’s what will end up happening if you cut your favourite foods out. It’s all about balancing. I’m currently 145lbs and have lost 30 pounds but everyday I still eat a bit of chocolate or some crisps because I know I’ll crave it and if I restrict myself I’ll end up eating way too much. So what I’m trying to say is just have a balanced diet, eat good but also have your favourite foods :)))))))) Sorry I ranted lol 😳

Bc the calories burnt during these 12 hours are part of your bmr (basic metabolic rate). They’re not “extra” calories burned, they’re what your body burns naturally everyday. If you eat more than your bmr sleeping isn’t gonna burn the surplus.
Don't starve yourself to lose weight. You will do more harm than good to your body by depriving it of food which is important for your body to function. Plus, even if you lose some weight, you will gain it back once you stop starving. So, there is no point starving. Instead, try eating healthier, taking more protein, drinking more water, walking more and working out. By doing that, you can lose weight and mantain it long term. Don't go super crazy over the diets because you might give up soon. Take baby steps first.

Rule of thumb is calorie deficit (less than around 2000) and variety in foods (fry to “eat the rainbow” in produce aisle, not the chip aisle)
To answer your question well yes, you can pretend nothing is in front of you however it's the friction and convection of heat that actually helps the burning of calories when kissing, not to mention dopamine and epinephrine is high while kissing so you're body is in that "flight or fight" mode, your body's metabolic catabolism (breakdown from complex to simple compounds) is higher, your vital signs are also higher; your body is wired to burn when kissing someone. TL;DR you burn way less with kissing without a partner to kiss with.
Honestly, running for 15 minutes seems more logical than chewing gum for 18 hours. Trust me, its not that hard once you get used to it, and after a good run, you'll actually feel pretty good about yourself. Which to me, is funner than surfing through channels all day. :)

really it would burn only the same amount do to the fact that, how the brain works is this: it can only compleatly focus on one thing at a time so while you could do all those things at the same time, without the breain focusing on all of those musces being acttive at once you would only burn roughly 250 calories doing that entire thing for 8 hours. it would work better if you focused on a muscle group like say the face, and watch a sitcom chew gum(dont choke) and sing your favorite song for roughly 2 and a half hours would burn about 300 calories... so yeah there ya go

Basically the idea is that if you watch a really funny show you will laugh which increases your heart rate which increases the rate you burn calories at. This is the basic concept behind all cardio but for some reason he decided to obfuscate the fact that he basically says without saying it that the more tiring the physical activity, the higher your heart rate the more calories you burn. Fairly simple concept but telling people how cardio works is boring so instead he uses the fact most people who watch this aren't scientifically literate. I would love to say that he should give a more detailed explanation etc. But that would make these claims seem far more benign and it would likely lead to people challenging certain assertions. The fact ASAPScience mainly appeals to people who are laymen and isn't a bad thing. Because the alternative is people get all their science info from Partisan News Networks and late night comedy shows. I wish that was a joke I really do. But I think that videos like this have been oversimplified and they provide negative educational value since people who don't know what Cardio is or how it works just won't get it. Until they understand Cardio which is the idea that which exercise you do doesn't really matter so long as it increases your heart rate. However this isn't consistent across the board, because if your in bad shape you will get a heart rate increase walking down a flight of stairs lol.

A lot of people don’t realize this but the majority of calories burned is due to things you cannot control (body heat, digestion, cognition, etc.) the best way to control how much you weigh is how much you eat and what you are eating. Rule of thumb is calorie deficit (less than around 2000) and variety in foods (fry to “eat the rainbow” in produce aisle, not the chip aisle)

Honestly, running for 15 minutes seems more logical than chewing gum for 18 hours. Trust me, its not that hard once you get used to it, and after a good run, you'll actually feel pretty good about yourself. Which to me, is funner than surfing through channels all day. :)

The thing is to keep doing it, bc gradually you’ll become better, and one day you’ll realise youre able to run 20 mn without stopping or do a 5k in 30 mn! But that can’t happen if you don’t start and suck at the beginning and keep going, bc running is kind of a journey :)

if you want to burn more calories while walking, strap some heavy things to you like ankle weights. you'll burn more!

What if you tuchew gum, watch the 4 sitcoms on a DVD and wright a 4800 word essay at the same time, and use sugar free gum instead, also drinking your daily amount of water and going to the bathroom and singing your favourite heavy metal/song that makes you move your mouth and or head a lot (or possibly recite a tongue twister) in however long that takes? Surely that would burn more calories
really it would burn only the same amount do to the fact that, how the brain works is this: it can only compleatly focus on one thing at a time so while you could do all those things at the same time, without the breain focusing on all of those musces being acttive at once you would only burn roughly 250 calories doing that entire thing for 8 hours. it would work better if you focused on a muscle group like say the face, and watch a sitcom chew gum(dont choke) and sing your favorite song for roughly 2 and a half hours would burn about 300 calories... so yeah there ya go

people, 3 hours of sleeping means you are WASTING 3 hours of your life doing nothing but laying there with no conscoius thought. 20 mins of running improves your heart health, improves your cardio vascular system, AND saves you 2 hours and 40 minutes for EXPERIENCING life, and you will experience it feeling much better because you run 20 minutes a day, running isn't meant for burning calories, it's meant for improving your heart and body. eating less lowers caloric intake but you aren't getting the benefit of exercise.
please, exercise 20 minutes a day minimum, it only gets easier and your body will adapt to make you actually enjoy it

I'm a pianist, and I'm also a classical music enthusiast. Sometimes I play the piano for an hour and a half nonstop (it's so fun)! I will usually be practicing Mozart's 12th sonata, first movement. Chopsticks is nowhere near as energy-consuming as Mozart's sonata, so it really makes wonder... How many calories am I burning when I play Mozart's 12th sonata for a hour and a half?

Basically the idea is that if you watch a really funny show you will laugh which increases your heart rate which increases the rate you burn calories at. This is the basic concept behind all cardio but for some reason he decided to obfuscate the fact that he basically says without saying it that the more tiring the physical activity, the higher your heart rate the more calories you burn. Fairly simple concept but telling people how cardio works is boring so instead he uses the fact most people who watch this aren't scientifically literate. I would love to say that he should give a more detailed explanation etc. But that would make these claims seem far more benign and it would likely lead to people challenging certain assertions. The fact ASAPScience mainly appeals to people who are laymen and isn't a bad thing. Because the alternative is people get all their science info from Partisan News Networks and late night comedy shows. I wish that was a joke I really do. But I think that videos like this have been oversimplified and they provide negative educational value since people who don't know what Cardio is or how it works just won't get it. Until they understand Cardio which is the idea that which exercise you do doesn't really matter so long as it increases your heart rate. However this isn't consistent across the board, because if your in bad shape you will get a heart rate increase walking down a flight of stairs lol.
