I’ll never forget the magic in Pittsburgh this season. Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. For the first time that I could remember In my lifetime baseball was fun and we were competing. We weren’t a joke in the league and the players and the city truly came together. What a special year.
Man. Really wish Pittsburgh won game 4. I'm a Sox fan and they beat the Cards in the WS but all 2013 I was dying for a Red Sox-Pirates WS
Same, reason being is Jeff Locke was an all star pitcher for the Pirates that season and he's from my home town of North Conway, NH. Used to watch him pitch for Kennett High School when I got out of 5th/6th grade across the street. We're all Sox fans up here, and would have been nuts seeing Jeff pitch at Fenway in the world series. Although I'm looking for a game he might have pitched in during the NLDS right now, not finding any.
We had a nice 3 year stretch! Winning The Wildcard Game that year felt better than when the Steelers won the Superbowl in 2005 to me... we went from nothing to a top tier team and it was beautiful.. New ownership and maybe it happens again!

@@vjlong4581 I'm a jays fan from toronto but I'll always have a thing for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Seeing that wild card game against the reds when i was 13 years old was one of the most memorable games I've watched on TV

Literally if u think about it after this very game the bucs have done absolutely nothing since and seem oddly cursed. Made the wild card game next 2 years just to get shutout in both. Agonizing

The Pirates scored 19 runs in the first four playoff games in 2013. In the four playoff games since then, they’ve scored 2. Really shows that the 2013-15 Pirates weren’t really clutch hitters.
