These incredible sculptors treated rock like a block of butter, or wax, malleable. How is it possible to do such intricate carvings in stone that are only seen in jewelry. Imagine if some of the religions from middle east never came to India, how many such thousands of temples would have been saved from razing to the ground. Very well done video. Where are you from. Thanks.

Thank you. Truly beautiful works of art. Fortunately, well preserved Badami remains a testimony to its time. As just another person behind a lens it was mesmerising.

This stone is like butter compared to Marble or Granite, have you not seen the work of Leonardo Di Vinci or Michael Angelo and so many others great masters of the past???

@@joearchuleta7538 I have seen Leonardo's sculptures, they are incredible too. What I have not seen is such intricate carvings anywhere so far. For example in Taj Mahal the sculptors created a screen out of marble. In some other temples granite is used.

Quite nice documentary….India is absolutely beautiful however … the shooting was fast we couldn’t catch any details or enjoy the beauty of the ruins also it was a bad choice of music … I love all Indian music but for this kind of show a slow beautiful calm music in the background would be better 💕 with love from Dubai

@@elLiven Wikipedia for history may not be reliable. This temple must have been much ancient. Since Islam took over in those days I doubt such temples came into existence. Islamic ruler Tippu Sultan was responsible for a lot of destruction of anything that is Hindu in the south. In other places Islamic Mughal rulers, like Aurangzeb, Khilji and others were responsible for immense destruction, because images are not tolerated in middle eastern religions. I worry about Pyramids in Egypt, and the images of Pharoahs, sphinx, I hope they survive.
