Important and Magnificent UNESCO Badami Cave Temples

The rock colors alone are outstanding and worth viewing. But the four rock-cut cave temples depict colorful stores from Indian mythology by way of intricate carvings.
The top Jain temple was possibility my favorite because it brought back our memorable visit to Palitana, a Jain pilgrimage site. (Look for the link in this video - that was 3,500 steps up and down!)

Aren't they something? Whenever I think, "Oh no. Not another temple" we visit jaw-dropping new ones. As gorgeous as the temples are, I think my highlight was the adorable group of school teens that were so excited to see us. Thanks for watching and best regards, Sheila

I told my guide I didn't want to hear every single details about every single god/goddess in the cave but they go into "guide" mode and I couldn't stop his verbiage. This video took serious editing! Aren't the caves incredible? I always think of the carvers working from the top down for years and wonder how they manage to do it!
