Nice one my friend! I'll summarize my soap review for you again: tallow: ✅✅ oud: ✅✅ cover art: ✅✅ It's soap. I don't care about the price :) Zero issues with the tub size.
@ A good kind indicator of what I think of your soap is that I used it 5 times in the month I received it and I have over 150 soaps that I normally cycle through. Also, this time of year I follow the animal trails into the forest behind my house and spend time with the urban critters. The squirrels and the foxes seem to like Wild Oud :)
Thank you for sharing. Trying out new stones and different ways to use them is a great way to learn. If you stop learning, something is wrong. Tonight I am testing out a couple of cotcule edges to see how I did. Using your soap to test them. Your soaps are reliable and comfortable to use. I am still appreciative that you shared your soap with me. Thanks again and I hope you take care.
Great shave Eric! Super keen edge! Not everyone is going to like the products we make. But like you said, we need the honest feedback, it’s how we get better. Embrace the praise and criticize equally. Personally, I like that your soaps aren’t overly scented. And you simply can’t beat your tallow base!
I have an overly sufficient soap inventory and prefer the smaller tubs. That way I might have the chance of using some soaps up before I croak. 😂 I don’t hunt but am surrounded by co-workers that do. Every year I would always donate to their hobby in exchange for some of the uniquely local sweet deer bologna augmented with beef tallow. My abandonment of sugars leaves me missing that molasses filled treat. Nice vid.
Another fantastic shave! When it comes to the tub sizes, you could always offer the size you have now and a bigger one at two different prices so people can choose for themselves.. Beyond that, I love your soaps!
Sweet razor and Jnat. It's always fun getting new stones and experimenting with them! La Vache is my favorite soap that I have tried from you. Smells amazing and performs extremely well 5/5 stars I would rate it my friend
I appreciate the feedback, and I'm glad you love the La Vache! It’s definitely one I will bring back, probably one that I will make a permanent offering. This first year I plan to go thru some fragrances and picks the ones I like and the customers favorites, and probably settle on 4 permanent offerings. I will also do some seasonal soaps.
I have been using the shit out of this soap during hunting season. I am glad you helped me make my mind up to finally do it. Top notes of Corn & green apple, balanced out won’t sweet persimmon, and dark rice brand. Sounds like a luxury shave soap to me 🤣😝
Agreed, I am happy with my set up. But I do get request for larger tubs. As of now the majority rather stay with that I have. We will see, thanks for your input.
I think the scent strength in your soaps are perfect. Maybe i have a sensitive nose, but the scent lingers on a few hours after a shave. Some artisan soaps are too heavely scented for me. For me the sliqness is the most important part of a shaving soap. I also like to safely go over areas even after the lather is shaved off. Some soaps leave a sticky residue that can be a little dangerous if you are shaving with a straight razor. Most tallow based soap don't leave a sticky residual behing.
I love your soaps Eric - the residual slickness is a wonder and gives no worries if I buff a stubborn area. I think Oud Wild is my favorite or maybe Foret de Pins. Is that Top Flight from Burrell Cutlery? If so, in the 1940s and 50s they were made by Carl Monkhouse in the Burrell facility in Ellicottville, NY.
@@BigEShaves According to John Burrell, grandson of Harold Burrell and Addie Case Burrell, Top Flight straight razors were all made in the 1940s and 1950s. Carl Monkhouse had space in the Burrell factory where he and his crew made the straight razors. Some were stamped Top Flight with Burrell Cutlery Co Ellicottville NY on the back side of the tang. Others carried Monkhouse stamps.
I really appreciate your efforts! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
I just used Savon Nu yesterday and mixed it with Cremo which doesn’t have a lot of structure in my opinion and it completely improved the base of Cremo while allowing the scent of Cremo to come on thru… to each their own but for me as a straight razor shaver your soap and Joes is top of the game in performance. 🤘🏻
I have two of your soaps the Old No.2 and Foret de Pins the latter my scent preference, both are mild scented but I knew that before ordering as the main quality I seek is the slickness whilst using a straight razor in particular. I scoop out a dollop and place in a Timeless plastic lathering bowl which aids whipping up a lather very easily. 👍 Keep up the great work. 🫡
Fantastic shave, Love the brush, enjoy the weekend
Thanks man, you too.

Appreciate the input Greg. I have another I am working on that I think you may like, plan to ship you a sample this next week. Thanks again

Looked and sounds like a nice edge. Nice shave Eric!
Still have a little work to do, but the initial testing was promising

I appreciate that, glad my soap is working well for you. And thanks for your feedback, enjoy your weekend!
@@BigEShaves Thank you kindly.
That razor definitely had the right sound!
It will take a little work, the first time honing stone and razor. Thanks

Excellent shave and soap. You always do a great job.
Thanks Leon.

Thanks man! I appreciate it. That’s what I am thinking with the pucks, a man could refill his tub at a reduced price. Thanks Rob.
Sounded super smooth 👍
Thanks Gary

Hi Eric. Nice. Overly scented soaps sometimes irritate my skin. Glad you had a confortable shave. Have a good one
Thanks for watching!
Stocked up under Black Week, but your soaps are definitely on the wishlist
Thanks
Deer hunting scent would be corn or green apple. Don’t ask me how I know. 😅 thanks for the shoutout!

@ hehehehe
For me,a small screw and flat washer with lock tight stays on the scales , no slip , easy to replace. Just my way.
That is a good idea! I will try it out next time.
I tub load my brush in your soaps and have no issue with the tub size. If it ain’t broke…

1st off amazing thumbnail, secondly great shave ! And lastly how was deer camp !?
Deer camp was awesome, thanks for asking! So awesome, I drove back tonight. Probably my last weekend of the season; we going to make it count.

Yes, it’s the same Burrell Top Flight, so you know how to date them? I can send you some better pics. It’s a nice razor.
Thanks for the feedback Mike.

More lather and a slower stroke
