I was lucky to find something like this to help me de stress. It’s really the main reason I swapped over from DEs to SR. I was always knife and sharping obsessed, once I tied the two hobbies together, it took on life of its own 😜🥴. Into the Rabbit hole I dove.
In my shave video today I used a Straight Razor what I have self refreshed. And it was a bad job, because I have made a mistake a beginner mistake. The first half from the toe to the middle wasn't sharp only the part from the middle to the heel . I have me sitting down last night to make it better and I have a test shave and it was better bad still not great! It's a Ventura Brothers from Sheffield. Have a great Sunday!
Man, it’s a struggle at first but you will master it. Just keep at it and document your process and make small incremental changes, that way you know what it is that’s improving your process. Thanks for watching Robert!
They are good stones, and a fairly easy hone. They can be really overpriced, but a man done hand to spend a lot to get a good one if he knows what he is doing. It’s a different animal than coticules
I just can’t get consistent data with GD razors, so I feel like the information I am seeking is garbage. I don’t like to waste my time. I enjoy the restoration process, I just hunt razors with little to no hone wear.
You have to watch out for those long women hairs. One time I was at work and I knew something strange was in my boot. As time went by I ended up taking my boots off at the construction site. Somehow my wife’s hair got inside my sock and wrapped around my toe and kept getting tighter and tighter. I was like how the heck was it doing that. On another note great honing video!

great video boss! and I concur with just doing your own thing. too many opinions makes a shit soup
Glad you enjoyed it! I aways encourage guys to not take what I say as gospel, try stuff on your own. That’s the only way you will find your way.
Thank you for sharing.
It is always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Take care and have a wonderful day.
Appreciate it! I have enjoyed yours as well, thanks for watching Robert!
@@BigEShaves You are too kind.

Nice vid Eric. Looks like a good chunk of Oozuku. I sent one of my Oozuku stones to Adam VC yesterday.
That’s what he told me, I hope he enjoys it as I have
Another great video Eric! That razor was going into the packing peanut with no resistance! You make it look easy peasy
Glad you enjoyed it! I try to keep things simple!
Looks like that Jnat is working out. Very generous sized stone too.
Yeah it’s a good one! And it’s a nice size. It’s going work out well
Great hone video Eric 😊😊
Thanks Tony

That is how it is. I think it is what makes it fun; always trying to improve and get the best comfortable shave.
I will be watching your video next.

About to go get caught up on videos and check out your latest videos
Nice, quick honing session Eric! Jnat is still one I haven’t jumped into yet. Soon enough I’m sure.

Careful on that strop Cajun. That razor sharp as a razor! Love it bro.
That Cajun Hide is pretty thick 🤣
Great video 😊
Thanks! 😊
Ya made it look simple, must have been that fine Cajun leather lol. Really good looking stone, almost makes me want a Jnat 😊
It don’t take much to make me want a stone 😜
Hi Eric. Nice. So 15-20 dollar vintage razors instead of gold dollars. Thanks for sharing

That Some funny shit. And if you Would have lost that toe. You would have to explain to the wife where it came from 🥴

I can understand about 75% of what he says.
He is perfectly fine with that
Great one Eric. I bet the Cajun leather made a big difference:) Looks like a keeper that jnat.
I think so too! And you can beat good old veg tanned Cajun.
@@BigEShaves The only thing that can beat it is Cajun but leather;)
👉 “Fine Cajun Leather”. 😂😂😂😂😂
That’s what I am talking about! And my palm is a bit convexed as well 🤪
