MSRH Track Day - Experienced Group on a FZ1

The title should have been "FIRST DAY IN EXPERIENCED GROUP AND PASSES AN INSTRUCTOR?!?! :o"
All joking aside, it was an absolute blast getting to ride with all the guys from the BVSR group in multiple levels today. I'm honored to have helped the club get to the track and have a very successful track day. Looking forward for the next track day already.

I've said it so many times. This bike can hold a line with some of the big bois, it's only once you really push it to the limit that you realize the limitation of the frame. But you can get to that limit so much easier than other sport bikes.

A Penske rear shock and the R1 front end help a lot! I loved this thing

Best bike ever made, you'll have to pry mine from my cold dead fingers. It's basically an early 80's superbike modernized. Early sportbikes like the GPZ and Interceptor were half fairing bikes, and everyone did what was called a superbike bar conversion, known today as riser bars. They're called superbike bars because that's what was ran in the superbike series until the late 80's. I personally can corner better on the track with riser bars than low clip ons.

The FZ1 does check a lot of categories for it's price and ease of maintenance for sure. Best sub $6k bike if you want a sport bike that's reasonable to ride on the streets.
