    Just bought an 01 about 3 weeks ago, completely factory, except for the seat. Absolutely in love, such a great machine.

    I just got mine a 2001 with 28k from a older guy who commuted to work on it. He owned it for 14 years picked it up for $2800. Put a m4 exhaust and new tires runs awesome. I came from a 08 zx14 special edition. So it's more mild but the riding position makes it soo good. Im getting a tail lifter which will raise the tail end 2". I think will make it look even better shooting down the road.

    • @rustybloodsaltysoul8640
      @rustybloodsaltysoul8640  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Must be quite a diffrence from the zx14, but as you know so much more usable powerband in these 1000's plus the riding position makes these so easy to toss around on corners or railing off ramps. I will say thats one thing I miss going from the Fz1 to the busa is a higher tach to play with, used to love hearing it scream through each gear just ringing out the rpm's....such a solid all around bike

      Hell yea, the carbon fiber parts dress em up perfect. Yours sounds like my dream vision I had for it, I have the motocomposites radiator shrouds and belly pan coming for it but unfortunately its going to the guy who bought it a couple weeks ago. Sold the Fz1 while the markets hot and snagged an 06 Hayabusa with 4k mikes. One of those bikes I felt the need to own and get out of my system while I'm in my 30's lol already miss the high pitch scream of the Fz1 with plenty of tach to work with, the way I had gearing set up it would've destroyed my busa on the holeshot....at least for now till the busa's re-geared

      Sargeant seat was day & night difference compared to factory. Worth every cent even though its expensive as hell. Like any seat takes a bit to break in but once its broken in its a game changer. In fact speaking of seats me & the girl did 6hrs on the new hayabusa the other weekend and when we got back we just looked at each other like "yup, new seats getting ordered Stat".

      @@rustybloodsaltysoul8640 thanks im gonna have to get one. At first i looked up corbin seat because i had a corbin seat on my 1990 cbr1000f and it was amazing it was shaped like a saddle i never felt any pain on my tailbone but my hands were killing me from leaning over on it and it was lowered in the front so it was ever worste then stock now i have this fz1 with bar risers and its perfect for that but my tailbone is killing me in under a hour even with the thickess gel pad they make. If that sargent seat really works i need it. It honestly doesnt look as saddle like as my old corbin seat thats why i was skeptical

      I sold the Fz1 while the market was nuts to lock in my dream 1st gen hayabusa. If you like the fz1 I highly recommend you hop on a hayabusa at least once in your life. Don't listen to the tales that it can't carve backroads or that it's big and bulky etc... its by far my favorite bike I've ever owned. Obviously a little more of an aggressive riding stance in comparison to the FZ but nothing as aggressive as your typical liter bikes. Just one of those bikes you need to own and ride for the experience like anything else.
