    I think the way she described how she entered the world of guitar playing , is really the best way to enter the guitar world. It should always be about the song and the music no matter how extremely awesome the guitar is. I spent too many years worshipping guitar playing rather than making the music. Make the music and the guitar will happily follow.

      @@chrisruef9221 , at some point you may discover that they have several great songs that never have been recorded. They are only to be found on youtube live videos. This includes their probably still most popular song", "Mad As A Hatter". Many people have found the band through their long row of completely stripped down living room covers.

    I built my board around the HX effects for 3 reasons - 1) in built electronic routing options are amazing to build cool pedal interactions, 2) I am new to guitar and didn't know what I wanted for modulations/reverbs/filters/wah etc but I have my drives which I love so can loop them in, and 3) options 1 and 2 for only £400 is amazing value. I use the Simplifier from DSM & Humboldt as my amp and I think it sounds killer!

    I could not figure out why my soldering sucked so bad, then I was at work and went by the lab and one of the techs was soldering a new board into our CNC machine and I saw my problem straight away. It was the cheap ass Home Depot iron I was using (like he said) The tech was using this large iron that was from the 60's It was the size of a hair dryer. I asked him why and he said If you touch your iron to the solder and it doesn't melt instantly, throw it out.

    Check out the MXR/CAE MC403 for any future pedalboard builds. I have one under a cool old Fix pedalboard and it makes everything dead silent.
    Also Barefoot Buttons might come in handy for that sugar-boost sitting where it is. They make some extra tall button adapters that would give the sugar boost button a taller profile to hit it easier.
    The first famous person I saw to swear by the HX Effects was Billy Corgan, he said he loves it. Thought I'd throw that in there for the Line 6 deniers in the comments.

    • @Paul_Aderoju
      @Paul_Aderoju 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey JP. Multi effect units are not necessarily a full blown replacement for stompboxes. They really came into play because of they are more portable and easier to move around, and maybe beginner-friendly. Pro players still run their full rig using stompboxes. And now, players also have multieffect core units running along side stompboxes, somewhat like a hybrid setup.
