You said basically everything I was doing. I listened to advice from a super famous neuroscientist on the internet about eating the first meal after 2pm. I've stuck to it for a couple of years. But it doesn' seen to have any effect on sliming myself. I'm not overweight but I'd like to keep a lean body shape as much as I want. Thank you, Emmie. I have recently subscribed to your TH-cam channel and have had “The Starch Solution” book for a few years now but haven’t read through the entire book yet. I have stopped eating anything related to animals and gone onto the whole food plant based diet/lifestyle. I will have to watch each of your videos and learn how to become adventurous with meal planning and eating. As far as I’m aware, I don’t think that I have any metabolism problems such as that mentioned in the video. I enjoyed listening to the video, have replayed it a few times, and want to thank you for sharing everything with us.

Interesting video If you stop eating 8pm and then eat when you wake up the following morning say 7am that's naturally 12 hours naturally because most people try not to eat past 8pm if possible. I try and eat though while I'm hungry as opposed to a clock because each day is different
Of course our body is meant to store energy and it's meant to eat not only plants. In northern Europe there is no plant based food avaiable during winter in nature.

I love all this information. I wanted to ask for suggestions on how to make eating when your hungry work with work schedules. The times I might get hungry are not the times that I can take a break to stop and eat while working at my job. Love to hear some ideas for making this work. Also what about family meal times. Thanks
I tried intermittent fasting once and waited for the time when I would not be hungry in the morning until noon. That time never came I was hungry every single day for three months and I didn't lose any weight and I was like f this. Worst thing I've ever done to myself. It feels far more natural to eat when you're hungry, it's literally your body speaking to you and telling you what it needs.
I love the idea of this but I find I do not feel well unless I am eating some animal protein. I have some issues with reactive hypoglycemia. Any thoughts on that?
Hi Emmie I've been eating starch solution style but i have been fasting . I have days where i don't feel so hot and i end up rushing to find somewhere to eat it's like a crash sorta . I just watched your video about metabolism being like log thrown in a fire and it make so much sense . Anyways i have been fasting because i get a little brain fog from eating early im wondering if it could be from fasting . I also get crashes if i eat to many fruits on an empty stomach. I'm guessing it's cause there is nothing to slow them down. Like yesterday i ate at 10 am .. early for me it was a banana and cuties and i worked out and felt good but then i ate pear and experienced a minor crash feeling and had to go find some starch. Could all this just be getting used to eating again I've been fasting for a few years just cause it's easier .. But im coming from a keto diet 2years ago and experienced side effects and high cholesterol and bad digestion.. So Its been a transition . I honestly haven't been eating in the day up until yesterday the only time I do is when i crash and I have to but I'm going to start I know it sounds really bad but I feel like I've messed up my whole relationship with food . I get a little less focused and forgetful if i eat in the morning .. usually oatmeal .I havent stuck with it long enough to see if it temporary. Thank you for your videos ..
