Merry Christmas 😁🎄I was going to do a double but I have no reactions in the tuck due to the busy festive period 🤣 Love you all God Bless. Let the games begin. What a first episode of LOST!
It's really bizzare that Netflix decides to break up the episode into two. It was a two hour finale not two parts. So the penultimate episode was Follow The Leader and The Incident is the finale. When Jack sees Sawyer in front of the van, it's just another commercial break and not any type of cliffhanger.
Radzinsky: "If Edison was worried about the consequences, we'd all be sitting in the dark." No. If Edison was worried about the consequences, we'd all have free energy from Tesla.
I always forget Radsinky is actually a scientific genius on the same level as Daniel. He's such a sociopath and yet the intelligence it would take to create the Swan Station is amazing. And it came from someone completely unhinged.
Rose and Bernard are the absolute winners. I watched the show as it aired, and this finale opening with Jacob and the man in black was a revelation to me, I realized so many things just from that opening, it was an epiphany, like finally seeing the picture on the box of the puzzle. The pieces not yet placed, but yeah, to me this was the episode that made sense of almost everything before it.
The "time travel is a one-way street" symbolism you picked up on is genius. Never picked up on that before and I've seen this show approximately 108 times!
Nadia's death can also be interpreted as the way in which Jacob saved Sayid's life by stopping him and preventing the car from hitting them both. The part where Ben says "I'm a Pisces" was inprovised, Locke's laugh is genuine.
Actually longer because Sawyer and Locke and them traveled back to when the statue was still intact. They might have been a few hundred yards away in jungle when Jacob was eating his fish.
Merry Christmas and thank you for posting this today! I love the reveal of Jacob! I watched this live when it first aired. YES! When it first aired there was much debate abut Jacob - he was positive for Kate, Sun and Jin while one could argue he helped James foster his anger and incited Syaid's. Add to it the resentment Ben might or might not have for him. There is a similar character in "Severance" - Kier. It's not like LOST in wrapping up - it's just opened the next chapter! - Namaste!

"I am a Pieces" was an out of script joke that actor playing Ben improvised by impulse. Actor playing Locke didn't expect to hear it, you could see it by his reaction (big smile).
Thanks for the reaction, Elie. You hit the nail on the head when you said that Jacob seems like an ordinary guy doing his usual thing. You probably expected something a little different. LOST likes to do this, first LOST creates certain stereotypes for us on different things, and then the pattern breaks after an unexpected turn. In a way, this is instructive for us. Sometimes things are not as they seem
They kept building up Jacob to be something huge and incredible but than we just see some regular dude. Lost was always great with playing with your expectations. I assume Elie has started Season 6 and I wonder how his brain is dealing with the season premiere. There's key episodes I've been looking forward to and that premier has been at the top of the list.
@@John_Locke_108 Yes, indeed. You mentioned season 6. I must say that I like season 5, but I adore season 6 even more. The actor they chose to represent Jacob has a very distinctive characteristic. It’s his eyes. It’s the way he looks when he’s speaking to someone. It appears as empathy, concern and love. "The eyes reveal the soul" means that a person's eyes can often reflect their true emotions, inner thoughts, and character, acting as a window into their deepest feelings, as if their soul is visible through their gaze; it's a common saying implying that by looking into someone's eyes, you can gain insight into who they truly are.

At the beginning of the season I said that the "Now Lost begins" kinda makes sense because even if you're in the middle of season 5, you still have no clue what the show's resolution would be... ...it's only now when Jacob and the Man In Black appears that it will start to shed some light about what the endgame is, what the point of all of this is, why are they there, and so on. I usually said that "Lost begins in season 4, before that is just a prequel", because in seasons 1-3 is easy to assume that the endgame is to survive/leave the Island, and so some people may find it disappointing when they realize there's more story than that; so for me, at least starting season 4, it's clear that there's a lot more to see than just surviving/leaving the island.
