Yeah. Sansa might be right sometimes, but she's also extremely annoying lol. Especially next episode. But as far as this episode goes, Jon is absolutely correct in not taking those castles away from their rightful owners. That would've just caused more strife than there already was between the northern houses, and Jon knows that they need everyone to be on the same side in order to stand a chance against the White Walkers and their army.
Seeing the final scene hits different after HOTD. Where Rhaenyra, Daemon etc lived centuries before Daenerys. All the suffering etc... Those stairs were Rhaenyra landed with Syrax. And correct, the beach and the famous Dragonstone stairs are from Zumaia Beach and Gaztelugatze island-monastery, both in the Basque Country by the Atlantic coast of Spain... where Im from.
I love the scene with Arya and the Lannister men, shows the duality of man. All her life she saw Lannister men as villains (for good reason) but in this instance she’s seeing that even Lannister men are just men with families back home
And I noticed that before delivering her "I'm going to kill the Queen" line, she had carefully scanned the area to see exactly where, and how far away, all the swords were so she could be prepared for whatever their reaction was to that statement.
8:16 "Leave one wolf alive and the sheep are never safe" such a great line to start the season. Also the season will end with another great quote about the lone wolf and the pack
When Arya killed Walder, she took the mask off first, she wanted him to die knowing that a Stark got him. When she killed the rest of the Freys, she left the mask on until they died, she wanted them to die believing they were betrayed by their lord. She killed him then made sure that everyone who trusted, respected or loved him died hating him. As revenge goes, thats pretty comprehensive
Things that occur over long periods of time appearing from episode to episode, or even within the same episode (example: King Robert's journey to Winterfell). The difference is that back then they provided context to make the viewers aware of it... Cersei's comment about having been traveling for a month, surely the dead can wait... in the later seasons, to squeeze everything into two seasons, and shortened seasons at that, those little "throwaway" lines that provided context and information to us were eliminated, so we lose the sense of the passage of time, and people get the feeling that they're watching "24", and events are occurring in real time. It's one of the many writing decisions that open them to the criticism from the fans and critics, much of it richly deserved.
Jon is right. Sansa shouldn’t have disagreed with Jon in front of all his subjects. That is something for them to discuss in private. Once one person starts publicly questioning a king, others will start doing the same and rebellion will stir.
Yep! It was a birthday surprise for her. He wasn't there for the first rehearsals of the scene, so she was completely surprised when they showed up for filming, and he was right there in the scene.
Sorry, that is not correct. The stone stairway leading to Dragonstone Castle is Gaztelugatze, Spain. There is no castle at the top, just a re-converted monastery (the castle is CGI). Dragonstone Beach and cave are filmed at Itzurun Beach in Zumaia, SPain.
That montage had the same effect on everyone. I feel sorry for anyone with a sensitive gag reflex. I definitely wouldn't want to be eating a bowl of chili when that comes on.
Sansa had a fair point. But they are in front of his council and bannermen. In that situation, John is not her brother.. he is the king. That's undermining his position and offering others to disrespect him too. (And that has absolutely nothing to do with her being a female.) John was actually kind to respectfully be trying to correct her.
Just making EVERYONE else stupid does not make Sansa (and by extension Cersei) smart. Sansa undermining which IS what she was doing is not helping the situation in the slightest. And saying that Jon has to be smarter then Ned (which Jon has are ready on multiple occasions shown that he is) is not smart or clever it just makes everyone look like an idiot.
I was wondering if either of them was going to recognize it... many of us did back in the day. Being immediately followed by the dragonglass discovery pushed it off onto the back burner.
I've read originally the first scene of Season 7 was going to be the White Walkers on the march. The producers thought David Bradley's acting as Walder Frey/Arya was SO good they went with that.
8:26 Look back at the beginning, how scared and grossed out about violence and killing they were and now, admire that psycho smile while an entire family is being murder. Welcome to the journey club ladies.
The outside of Dragonstone is in Spain. The interiors are partly on their sound stage. Up to season 5, the room with the painted map is a set that was also used for the 3-eyed raven set under the tree, with some modifications. Im not sure if season 7 uses the same set or they built a new one. Map room looks the same, but the details are more lit What they like to do with castles, especially in season 7, they use the real exteriors with CGI enhancements to make them look a lot bigger from a distance. At least 2 of the castles that have never been shown before season 7 are actually the same place, but they use the front side for one castle and the back side for the other.
While I respect Sansa's intelligence, you seem to have missed that she lied to Jon about the blackfish and withheld the information about the Vale and little finger. Why should Jon trust her without reservations?
San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Spain is where Dragonstone was filmed. The castle is all CGI as the top of the mountain has a small house not a castle but the walk path is there.

I actually think this is a really solid episode and since I'm had no idea who Ed Shereen even was I didn't even notice that was him and that scene is fantastic and gives a glimpse into the lives of soldiers many of which are just young guys wanting to go home. Also The Hound finding the family he robbed was a fantastic scene.
I find this episode hilarious. It starts off so strong, and with such promise, merely to devolve into gagging because of Sam's job.......so much for the strong opening.....rofl Yes, Ed Sheeran.....that part was specially written for him. That character didn't exist until Ed Sheeran said that he wanted to be in Game of Thrones. The island is actually called Gaztelugatxe, and is situated in Northern Spain. Sadly though, no castle, and, even more sadly, no dragons

You like that Sansa is speaking up, okay. But the problem is that it is not a MODERN reality. At Medieval times she would have never had her place to speak up like that. And that is not about something like modern interactions of men and women. No, it has nothing to do with gender. It’s just about being King. Jon is the ruler. Not Sansa. And that is why he’s the one to decide, not her. So when she questions him in front of the lords, she does undermine him. Because his status of a monarch is based on the authority. Does it mean that she cannot question him at all? Of course it does not. Of course she CAN do that. But only when two of them are alone and are not in front of all those people. Otherwise, they just will not respect him. THAT is how it works. Because JON is the King. If Sansa were queen, then Jon could not question her like that as well. Which would be based on the very same principles.
Basically the point. She's got knowledge, but that can be shared at some other point. She's not had to actually carry out the punishments like Jon has as well. He views it as Ned.

Minor quibble - Cersei is the first reigning queen of Westeros. There was another (as you know, Stefani). Its really a technicality of who's bum is sat in the chair.
So besides the awful writing with the drone and kings landing. Here’s where they wrote themselves in trouble. The lannisters literally have every major house against them right now. The Tyrells alone have a way bigger army. Having Cersei sit on throne was just such a bad decision.
feedback: everybody is aware of spoilers. I don't like them. MugShotz don't like them. But then the cold intro comes and in an incredible moment Linday's realizes "is Arya with a face"... and now Ashley knows... and when the face comes out nobody is surprised... like in many of the video-reactions in TH-cam... Is always fun to see somebody that doesn't get it and then is surprised by the events. Next time, just keep it to yourself and say "I knew it" when the face comes out.

No problem....I am sorry to say "total nonsense", I should have been more polite. I have edited my previous post
@@USCFlash That's all right, no harm done. You were just passionate ^^
@@vincentdesjardins1354
Thanks.
Not really passionate, just too used to internet quarrels and I always assume the worst. It's not really fair to folks who are not like that, but there are so many trolls, I usually keep my guard up and expect an argument from a simple correction.
For all the good things about the internet it definitely has a negative effect on manners and attitude, myself included. 😞
How do you not include the Arya and Hot Pie reunion?
Well it would be silly of me to include it in the wrong episode 😝 that’s next week!!
@@MugShotzReacts My bad!!!
@@kimberlycunningham3740 Yep! We all need to be prepared for another gag montage... 🤢🍲
Watch this reaction brings me so much emotions, I get super excited too but then I remember the final…
Live in the now 🤩
Hi team ! Im maybe less into the 2 last seasons of this show The peak was 2 last episodes for me which can perfectly be the end of the show !
Anyway, I know im no more patreon member and it's better to propose some show But : Do you know about Arcane ? (Netflix show) I must say is one the best tv show ever
It’s been suggested a few times we will consider it!
@@MugShotzReacts This answer make me Happy ehehehe !
I get your “girl power” stuff but Sansa might be the worst character on this show. She’s made dumb decisions from ep one.
It's all downhill from here.
I have to disagree that there's still some great stuff, imo and some really great deaths, and episode 4 is really great imo
It’s *almost all downhill from here
arya is/was? a huge fan of ed s. so sadly she begged too have him on the show...and did...he's such trash though....
