I love love love your approach! One of my favourite channels is YCImaging and you remind of that but I appreciate the fact that you include a lot of detail which clear up the questions I would normally have. 👌🏽
That’s a huge compliment because YCImaging is one of the TH-camrs who inspired me to start a TH-cam channel. Happy to hear you love my approach/how I tackle these videos. Truly I appreciate the feedback. Wishing you much success 🙏🏾🙂
Good video, bro. Just subscribed
Great video man !!
Appreciate it man, glad you liked the video 👍🏾

Thank you for the sub, glad to hear you enjoyed the video 🙏🏾
10/10 vid 🔥
Thank you really appreciate it 🙏🏾🙏🏾
It’s a good thing to not be brand loyal and to concentrate on the making, but imagine tracks recorded with a Sound devices MixPre and a sennheiser mic.
Yeah I agree, that would definitely aid in the creative process but having the best gear doesn’t guarantee success on TH-cam. That’s why I advise people not to get too hang up on gear. Just create content and upload. I wish I honestly took that advice because I would have started my TH-cam Channel back in 2017 when I started entertaining the idea.
This video is so helpful thank you
You’re welcome and glad to hear it was helpful. Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
Muy buen trabajo! Enhorabuena!
Gracias aprecio tus amables palabras 🙏🏾

Thanks bro 🙏🏾
Hello Grobby, this is what I said when I finished watching your video. 'What a cool video!" ...man, that was nice, real nice! I am watching this video in Japan, thinking to myself I would love to speak with you in real time, even better I would love to meet you, ask you questions, see your process, go out on shoot (or two) with you, share thoughts, and ask you about your creative process.
I think I would maybe start there. Oh wait, get to know you as well, even more importantly if you were incline to share.
I like your style!
GREAT video Grobby and thank you so much for sharing with us.
..09:19 mark that footage looks seriously DOPE!
Hey there my brother, happy to hear you enjoyed the video and got some value out of it. Are you based in Japan? 🇯🇵 cause that’s awesome… and the world is getting smaller so it’s very much possible that one day we can have that sit down, chat and share ideas. Thank you for your positive words and there’s more to come 🙏🏾🙌🏾
Beautiful video🎉
Many many thanks brother 🙏🏾
This is a great video!
Thank you, really appreciate the feedback 🙏🏾
inspiringgg you're gonna be bigg
Thank you 🙏🏾, glad to hear you were inspired. Wishing you much success in your life
Great video dude, awesome tips! Im also glad you took my tiny advice for the black bars 😄 Another tiny tip for you is sound effects, when the text font switches, a little sound effect would be nice like clicks or something. You can also try typewriter text, hopefully that helps out! Keep up the good work dude! 🔥
Hell yeah man, you always have some good tips. Definitely appreciate it and will do 🙏🏾💪🏾🙂
Great tips and I received the quotes such as Show and Don't tell when it comes to storytelling.. Thank you NOTE Taken
You’re welcome man, glad I could help 🙏🏾👍🏾
this is really good bro. Some great info and you have a positive, enthusiastic energy. You should have way more subs! Added mine.
Hey welcome aboard and thank you for subscribing man 🙏🏾. Glad you got some good info out of the video, definitely more to come 🙌🏾
love this calm background music you've chosen, it gives such a calm profound vibe. btw, is it some boom mic hanging in the video? :) do you use any? :)
Thanks man 🙏🏾. No boom mic setup, I actually just use a Comica wireless mic system for most of my videos.
Nice tips!
You’re welcome bro 💪🏾
good stuff brother ,i m your subscriber #500 i deserved a reward lol
Appreciate the sub brother 🙌🏾🙏🏾, no worries good thing are coming your way soon 💪🏾
Very useful bro...thank you....

Just found you bro! I love your channel.
Welcome aboard, glad you’re enjoying the channel 🙏🏾🙌🏾
Damn this really inspires me to make youtube videos to my small channel now
Definitely go for it, start making those videos man. Glad to hear my video gave you some inspiration 🙏🏾🙌🏾
Give us more,Sir!
There is definitely more to come, glad you enjoyed the video 🙏🏾💪🏾
Yay another TH-camr reviewing the same content as everyone. However you come across quite sympathetic.
Appreciate it brother 🙏🏾
You gained a follower Sir
Welcome aboard sir, glad to see you’re joining the journey 🫡
🔥
🙏🏾🙌🏾
This was brilliant, you're my current favourite TH-camr. Do you use Sony A7IV for the POV shots if yes how? because whenever I have tried I get so much shake that its not really usable. Secondly maybe do a short on audio setting for Sony A7IV especially connecting your wireless mics.
Great job definitely hitting that bell icon!
Thanks man, appreciate it 🙏🏾 and yes I do use my Sony A7IV for the POV shots. I’ll be giving somewhat of a break down on how I get my POV shots in my next TH-cam video and as for as audio settings. I haven’t done anything in camera as far settings go but I do treat the audio just a bit in post to get everything sounding right.
Great video... and great tips! What light do you use that you put the soft box on, if I may ask?
Thanks brother 🙏🏾, I actually use an old ring light. I stuck it inside the soft box but I’m planning on getting to a Zhiyun Molus X100.
this video is pretty good i was fascinated the most with the shaky blurry background you had on the trees how did you do that😮
Thanks bro 🙏🏾I used a circular blur edit feature in Davinci Resolve.
How do you edit your video to look like a movie in terms of colour?? This is insanely impressive and makes your videos look 10 times more interesting ❤
Thank you 🙏🏾🙂, I edit/color grade using Davinci Resolve and re-create a cinema film look.
@@grobbymuleya Thank you so much for the response 🙏🏼
Thanks for the video. A lot of good tips!
I’m currently looking for a new laptop to run Da Vinci Resolve, but only for short form content. (Maybe longer form in the future). I don’t need anything majorly expensive.
May I ask what you are using that I see in your video?
You’re welcome man, glad my tips helped out. I currently use a Lenovo Legion 5i pro, it cost me around $1500 dollars when I got it so not the most affordable but it’s a beast and can handle a lot of heavy editing and gaming. When I was strictly doing videos for social media I used a basic HP laptop ($500) but I’d say if you can invest in something with a bit more power like around $700 to $800 you’ll be able to do a bit more editing wise.
@@grobbymuleya thanks! Thats perfect. I’m starting out with video (coming from a photography background) and my current setup is not cutting it.
I’ll check it out 😁
Thank you all for the subs, appreciate it man 🙏🏾🙏🏾
What light stand do you recommend for the main light? Is air cushioning necessary?
It really depends on how much you’re willing to spend. I use a cheap Amazon Basics Light Photography Tripod Stand which cost me less than $40 US dollars. It also depends on how heavy your light set up is.
@@grobbymuleya thanks!
thank You!
Thank you 🙏🏾❤
Love the style of your videos by the way 🙂
@@grobbymuleya thank You ! 😍
What's up with TH-cam now I'm getting cool little channels suggested here, how great! :D Hello new friend! ;)
Thanks for watching my friend, glad the TH-cam suggested my video to you my guy 🙌🏾
I’m about to jump into this world myself so thank you for blessing us with this video!
You’re welcome and you got this, just gotta stay consistent and improve every video 🙌🏾💪🏾🙂
I currently don’t have a pc, can davinci resolve work on mobile?
And it yes can you please share a tutorial on how to do cinematic color grade
Unfortunately Davinci Resolve doesn’t have a mobile phone app as far as I’m aware but I do use capcut to edit some of my instagram reels. Color grading tutorial is gonna be a video I plan on working on soon. So just stay tuned :)
@@grobbymuleya ok
Thanks bro... Good information..
Which system is best for video editing? Windows laptop or MacBook pro or PC??? Kindly reply.
You’re welcome bro, it really just depends on if you want to have the option to upgrade the ram/storage. MacBooks are solid but you get what you get. I use a Lenovo Legion 5i pro running windows and it’s fully upgradable and customizable which I love 💪🏾😎
@@grobbymuleya thanks bro... Someone told me windows laptop crash always? Is it true?? Google reviews always suggest MacBook pro on the top why??
🔥🔥🔥🔥 Very Useful. Thanks. Just subscribed to your page
Thank you for subscribing man, glad to hear you got some value out of it 🙌🏾💪🏾
А да. Забыл сказать. Монтаж занимает слишком много времени. Учусь настраивать свои камеры изначально под цвет который мне нужен. Вот тебе тема для ролика)))
Good point my friend 👍🏾
You mentioned kaaterskill falls, are you based in NY or NJ?
I’m actually based in Connecticut, about 2 hours away from Kaaterskill falls
What is this lens distortion? Can you help me with that?
Hi there, are you asking about the swirly bokeh?… I barely have any lens distortion using my 24mm Viltrox lens
Hey greetings my friend, glad to see I have viewers all the way out in Russia 🇷🇺 🙌🏾. The swirling bokeh is all done in post production my friend. I use Viltrox lenses and edit my footage to have more of that film 🎞️ look. I add grain and noise to make it my footage not look digital. Sometimes I also try to shoot in manual mode to avoid the auto-focus from hunting for focus which can be distracting. Appreciate you subscribing and joining along for the ride. You have some awesome vlogs on your channel and I’ll check out more of your videos when I get a chance.
Do you find yourself shooting more from your iPhone or your Sony camera?
Definitely my Sony, I still use the 13 pro. Planning on upgrading to the 15 for that Apple log and I’ll probably use it more as a B camera.
@@grobbymuleya Cool... I'm camera shopping right now. I've got the fx30 in my cart, I'm still doing research but I think I'm going to get it.
