hey bud, i'm R&R'ing one of these myself, just to be clear on the front corners you just ground them down to look decent? you didn't actually repair or fill that edge? seems like a simple solution to a complex area to work on, just want to know if i missed something there. Thanks for putting the time in to making this video, i would consider almost every view you have on this series to be you helping someone like me. people like you is what makes the internet truly great and worthwhile. keep it up man!
Thanks for the kind words. I definitely made these videos to help others doing similar projects. As far as the corners go, I suppose there are a few ways you could do it, but I just sanded it down untill it was smooth and both sides were uniform. Now, if doing that makes it too flat or there is not enough material there, you can put a bit of resin on it and then sand it smooth. It worked well for me. Hope you are having fun on this!
Hey man, my gf has a canopy that's broken down the middle of the top, about a foot, would fiberglass alone be sturdy enough? Or should I reinforce it with anything?
Ya, if you go about it right. I would grind out all the splintered fiberglass and then start building up fiberglass. It would help if you could reinforce it with something. Maybe some 1 inch strips of plywood on the inside to strengthen the repair. Thanks for watching.
Very helpful for my own upcoming job I have planned. Thanks!
Awesome work.
You got it, man! Great job.

Great video, thanks! Just wondering how it's held up after a few years?
I only had the truck for about 6 months after this but it was solid then.
Thanks for the video. Very useful! If I may ask, where did you order the glass for your windows?
