@@restomod101 I have a fiber glass bike body i had an accident and broke the fairings How do i stick two pieces together cuzz there where the bolts should mount it broke off
Thank you Greg! I'm in the process of putting a hood scoop to accommodate my big block in my 75 stingray! Nice to know I'm doing it just the way you explained! Jim merino Frank son! You and Scott worked on my 75 and Pappas 65
I have a fiberglass trailer fender that has a crack from the middle to the outside of the fender. I need to repair it and am wondering if I need to cut out the damaged portion and fill it with fiberglass or put the fiberglass cloth over the crack and just sand the cracked part. Thanks- great video!!
Harbor Freight carries a really neat 2in DA sander that I use all the time for small areas rather than that small grinder he was using. Just an idea that works for me.
It is hard for me to tell. Is the "bondo" spread out onto the painted area? If so, does it later get sanded away to make it flush with the existing paint that does not have bondo on it? I thought I heard where bondo does not adhere to painted surfaces. Is that correct? Excuse my ignorance as I am a beginner.
This repair would have been far better if you layup both sides of the repair, then just have a small skim to profile, also when doing the layup you should have an overlap between the layers if possible.
Why is it bondo on the outside instead of more fiberglass to fill that hole? Thinking about giving this a try on my jeep hard top and want to know all the whys. Thank you.
My opinion, the new fiberglass will be stronger and harder to sand. She trying to flush it out, the paint and older, aged fiberglass will sand away much faster making it difficult to remove the hump you made. Bondo sands easy and if your to aggressive or crate a flat spot, it's easier to put on a new coat and try again.
Here's a question for you, Sir. Sometimes a Corvette or Hot Rod will come into my shop and will have air bubbles (size of a pea) in the paint. I can sand them down and repair them with filler, but sometimes the bubbles will reappear a month or two down the line. What is causing this and how do i stop this?
Ur bike's fairings are made of plastic, the process used to build them is through Compressed molding of this material, fiber glass can be used to fix them but It will become a bit heavier than prev. Depending on the amount u put in (fiber glass).
Put Baby powder on your hands so that the fiberglass dust does not get into pours. The fiberglass dust will wash off easier. long sleeve shirt and sometimes latex gloves.
Nice instructional video and you did a great job. This is a video on how to repair fiberglass, correct? Not an annoying frigging music video, right? That noise is highly distracting and hard to watch you and listen to that crap. You don't need props when you do nice work as you do.
I quit smoking in 2011, best decision I ever made. I never could get the whole stink after the cigarette, but trust me, that stuff must come through the pores of your skin. Now, someone can walk about 10 feet from me and I can tell they are a smoker.
This guy is full of contriversy. On one hand he gives good, direct, understandable suggestions about the process. On the other hand he totally neglects safety rules. I like how he advices to quit smoking right before blowing in the air all sanded micro material...
I'll let you in on another secret don't cut pieces with scissors if you tear off little pieces it will adhere better and be less noticeable on the glass side you never want straight edges on your glass Matt
Would love to watch an informative video without super loud engine noises and music playing while the person is speaking. I’m not here to be entertained, I’m here to learn about a process
What lol Your phone or TV must suck real bad because I can hear every word he said!!!! It's called a shop that means he has business so go kick rocks!!!!
By far one of the best TH-cam videos I have ever seen. This gentleman is great at explaining and doing the process! Thank you for this video!
Thanks for the feedback! Make sure and like and subscribe so we can keep making these!

Brilliant video, filled my car holes fine. Thank you. Peace be unto you, from England.

Two great tips...wax paper and trimming the brush.

Thanks- great video!!
So cool! I’ve been there in Greg’s Shop and can validate this man is a master Craftsman! Awesome work Greg! 👍🏎️
Where is he located?
great video, but i was dreading getting all that dust of those 2 vette's in the background :)
Thanks for the note! And Soooo true. Don’t forget to to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE. Thanks!
Curious as to why you put bondo on the finish side instead of just glassing them both?
nice back ground and a good teacher.
Great video working on my bike fairings this weekend
Very nice explanation, good job, thank you!
Those C2s in the background are what dreams are made of.
Great vid but tough to hear instructions through music and sound effects
Respect a trade that easily overlooked but damn hard

Thanks for posting this, I appreciate your help!

gonna fix my vandalised scooter this week with fiberglass-repair. Hope your tips will work to make a better result

fiberglass panel contamination, you can try to bake it out but usually you gotta cut it out
A small hand held sand plaster. Sometimes use a drill bit prior to repair ( like a dentist ).
Use epoxy surfaces. Two part.
You made that look easy!!!!
Thanks Jeremy! Good luck with your new project... Make sure to like and subscribe please! Thanks!
Great tips. Thank you
VERY INFORMATIVE THANK YOU
Awesome Video!!!! Thank you Sir 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks Eddie! Make sure and subscribe! More to come!
Thanks a lot! Helps me much!
Does bondo bond to any vehicle material? I’m sure my bike isn’t fiberglass

I always thought you should not handle fibreglass without gloves and that music and the engine reving is a pain in the ear.....
Fiberglass is very hard to get off your hands.
Fingernail polish beats most household products. Some of it you just have to wear off.😉
Nice vid, but irritating background music…
I like your wax paper trick
Thanks Derrick! Make sure to like and subscribe so we can make more content!
Love it!
“Quit smoking” - blows bondo in the air with no mask 😆
Good vid tho.

Great video!
What material is the part you are repairing made of?
That would be fiberglass.
Like how he appreciated finger nail painting lol
most of these how to lessons use air or fans to blow dust, I don't know why they don't use vacuum ?.
Great vid.. but.. why having music?
great vid, but can that music please
Great content but very distracting music during your presentation. Leave the music off during your talk and it will be more effective.

Good information. Extremely annoying background music.
SSB good mornings are biblical. Single leg if you dare walk on water.
There's better surfacers than bondo, use two part epoxy.
You're the shit dude.
What's with the crappy music playing the whole time? Struggling to hear the bondo dude.
If a guy can feel it he’ll be able to see it.
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe.. .

The video is plenty interesting without the distraction of the awful background music.
How do u know how fingernail polish spreads on..be specific 🤣
Thats al lot of hardner in the filler
Shut thar music up man. Ruins it
Hard to concentrate on what your saying, the music is very irritating
Please remove the background music
That engine revving crap is annoying as can be.
