This is my generation. Me and some friends went to his concert back in the 80s. I’ll never forget. He didn’t sing this song and I was so disappointed. Then he came out for his encore and he sang “Lady”. This song reminds me of my friends back then; some still close and dear to my heart. One that passed away in a car accident years later. I sat here and puddled up with you. I cried and cried. This song has a way of touching your soul.

The interesting thing about singers back in the 60's, 70's, and to some degree the 80's they always aimed to touch a woman's heart with the lyrics and the music. Their music actually convened the admiration they had for all women especially that one woman that touched and torched their hearts.

I like a lot of Kenny Rogers music and they way he sung this song with so much love and passion. I bet he was thinking of his wife while singing this. It's so very rare to find singers today that sing with so much emotions and heart. Songs like this could bring back the meaning of loving someone. And bringing that passion into the relationship or marriage's. I could see this song and many others like it that was song in those days. It could heal so many hearts that are broken. I watch so much of these older country songs and love songs from the 80s to early 90s. And I am even native American so it shows music back then had touched so many different races across the world. In the Philippines they sing so many songs that was song by so many white singers. What has happened to white singers in the past 20 or so years. Even black singers in the 80s song so many love songs that I will never forget. And I can't find white or black singers today that sing songs like this. With so much love and passion that it sends chills down your spine. I remember the 80s and watching 2 people that love one another slow dance with their eyes locked together.
