These are some of the finest Jags ever produced and they drive so well. I've owned an X308 and an X350. My current is a 2006 XJ8L in BRG and I continue to look for a XJ Super to add to the collection. Nice to see someone who shares their enthusiasm for these cars. Thank you for the video!
I'm not sure why the owner is getting so much hate. I don't normally watch an entire one take video, but Kevin's enthusiasm and knowledge on the XJR held my attention.
People watch the videos to see Matt describe the driving and how it feels. This was bit different. You could see the awkward smiles on Matt's face now & then. But it's okay. It's just different. He could not stop praising his own car. I would not be surprised if he sells it.
You can really see how much he loves that car. And I think it's awesome. Love to see people who are very excited about their car, in a "true" way. And you could see how much he knows about it, and its history.
jeff blake very nice, it's funny the air shocks just went out on it but $1,800.00 later and it's back on the road. Not bad considering I have 224,000 on it now. Keep yours going bro! 👍🏽
In my view Jaguar's interior is the best. Period. Especially in these classic models. They have some unexplainable "charm" and class that no other luxury cars quite managed to capture. They're "original". You know what I mean? I love the Jag. Thanks for the review.
When someone doesn't talk much during a review, comments are filled with: Who is this guy? Why is he so anti-social? What's he on? When someone does talk during a review, comments are filled with : Who is this guy? Why is he so social? What's he on? You people in comments ever wonder, the problem might be with YOU instead? Nice Jag though. These with an exhaust can sound really good too.
And when they get sponsors they are like, "sold your soul". And when they do not have sponsors they say, "poor production work could be more professional", when that costs cash.
I drove this car because a friend owns one. He can afford any car out there and I mean any car but will not part with this one. This car is unbelievable. It runs like nothing else I've ever driven. It just has more and more power and never gives up at any speed and the engine sound wines like a real cat. I've owned or drove Porches, Mercedes, BMW's and many other high performance cars and this 2004 XJR matches or mostly exceeds them all in the joy of power and performance. It requires regular and sometimes often maintenance but you quickly forget that when get back in and drive this British racer. Good honest review.
Dude knows a ton about his car which I respect. Could care less if he's coked out or otherwise. Respect to a well informed owner. Very enjoyable watch despite it not being a heavily modded or crazy noteworthy vehicle
One of my top three favorite vids on this channel. A under appreciated but great car with an owner who knows what he has and isn't afraid to talk about it.
A super "One Take" guest. His knowledge of "JAGUAR" is incredibly extensive! His presentation and his POV is honest and very dramatic/colorful to say the least. A unique and very different kind of "One Take" guest in this episode.
"X350" is the final derivation of the William Lyons designed Jaguars. Beautiful alternative the "S" Class and BMW 7 Series. Bought a 2008 Vanden Plas 3 years ago with 32,000 miles. Love driving it every day!
I do in fact have a 2004 XJR in the British racing green as well, and I just have to say, possibly one of the best cars I’ve owned yet. The look, feel, and ride are just so luxurious, and can take on any other luxury car of the day and leave it in its dust. Truly a spectacular car all around!
GREAT video!!! I'm the lucky one who just two months ago found 2006 VandenPlas with just 32,000 miles on it here in British Columbia Canada. I had owned a 2001 X-308 VandenPlas for a number of years and kept it immaculate until it was destroyed by a jerk who ran a red light. Not only did that car save me from serious injury or worse but I missed it terribly. My new X-350 is not SuperCharged of course, and its longer but it still goes like stink! I also have a 2007 XK convertible with 45,000 miles on it!
Respect guys, great video, I live in Birmingham, England and the Jaguar car plant is about 2 miles north-east of where I live, where these great cars were built. the last true classical Jaguar/Daimler bodystyle!
Gorgeous car, and very peppy/enthusiast owner. It was very enjoyable to listen to him go on about the history of the car. I feel most car owners, at least the ones I've met, don't care about the history of their cars. I've been considering an XJ of this era, now I'll have to look into the XJR, which might be a better purchase.
Wow, I learned alot about Jaguar in this video, I never knew how reliable and safe these cars were. Granted they fetched alot of money brand new but of the technology was no where near as developed as it is today. For a car like that to be in that good condition, and maintain much of its orginal tech and features, that is impressive.
Compared to other luxury cars of the era, I think these have aged very well, and in another 10 years, will definitely have that "classic car" look to them. On a side note, the closest Jag dealership to this guy should be calling him immediately to offer him a sales position lol...
He probably did away with the 19" factories for 20" aftermarkets. Being tht 20" rubbers are more common than 19" and a lot cheapier to. I would have went with the factory 20" sepang wheels. Much classier.
I have a 2004 Jag XK8, and I find it crazy that people don't know how good these things are. For $15000 you can have a great to drive, fast, reliable and nice sounding luxury car. And it looks great. I've had mine for almost 3 years now, on 80,000 miles, and honestly after some new shocks and a few wishbones it feels better than new, and I just never get bored of the styling or the sound.
People in comments typically being assholes, But i wish more people were like this guy in Matt's videos. He was Informative, outgoing and polite. I actually learnt something new about these cars i didn't know.
Great to see a knowledgeable and passionate owner. This owner is one of the reasons being a part of car culture can be enjoyable when you meet passionate owners at cars n coffee. Could tell Matt was a bit taken by surprise, First time he couldn't quite get a final word in on his own one take review. The Cross on his mirror had a great time too. Giving lots of blessings for many more miles ;^)
Hi guys, this is a great video of a great car, it's a Jaguar X350 (factory denomination) and is designed and built to truly make you "feel good". I have an X358 LWB (2008) which was the last of this classic shape before they moved onto the new non-jag look and boy does it make me feel good EVERY time I drive her.
I literally fast forward 10 times to find a spot where I could hear the engine or Matt give his impression, and owner was talking every time. Honestly, like he was auditioning. Probably was. No hate here, just facts. Good cars.
Woah, almost 4 minutes in and I don't think I actually heard the motor once. It was hilarious just before Matt put his glasses on his eye's said it all :D :D
I have this car and absolutely love it. 04 XJR, just hit 90k. Paid $10,500 4 yrs ago with 78k on the odometer. Matt's right about it being a great LA car, I can pull up anywhere, to any nice hotel or restaurant and it still works! Black and tan, tinted windows. Long drives are great, when that supercharger kicks in its a blast. Very reliable. With a car this age it's so important to keep it washed and waxed, always a beauty. Few cars can still hold up with such class and elegance after 15 years. I loved this video, very informative :)
I just imagine that the slightest accident would be a total. Maybe it's the rivet connections that keep it cheap, but still you would probably have to go to a specialized repair shop.
I don't know what it is but I just like the heck out of Matt Farrah, i've always enjoyed his review of automobiles and his willingness to wind them out. Thanks Matt keep up the good work.
Auto Show and Go Not to "one up you" but I used to own a 276k mile 92 honda civic. Poor thing was riced but ran absolutely perfectly, I tried to make her as stock as possible before i sent her on her way
Auto Show and Go ive owned 90s toyotas with 330k and factory clutches. my current one has 220k. early 90s toyotas are not broke in till 150k. i used to be a toyota tech and those cars from early to mid 90s are indestructible
I have a 2005 XJR, same color. Absolutely love it! Bought her in 2012 and I don't think I'll ever part ways with her. As to the air shocks, my left front bag blew out so I replaced both front shocks with air shocks from Arnott. Direct factory replacement. Did the work myself and it was a piece of cake. Also replaced the upper A arms at the same time. She handles like new now.
...and laughing to yourself thinking he's still there talking to himself - while you have sweet freedom from the ear bashing...I've done that on the phone to people, just go to the kitchen get something to eat, go to the bathroom...
first guy that overtalked matt
I was thinking the same thing. Can see Matt's face. Usually the owner is listening to Matt. Matt finally gets payback.
Useful information..
Ohh ya!
6:40 in and I quit. can't listen to that guy. oh yea she goes right along there" just shut up an let Matt enjoy some super charged v8 goodness
I wonder if Matt felt his own medicine? Maybe Matt was scared he could take away his job, it is a stretch to think that.
Legend has it he still talking to this day
I tried to wipe a hair off my screen
CAIRN So did I. Awesome
now i have a finger smear on my mac!
Haha, bravo on the avatar. You got me too:)
😂
This guy would sell you sand in a desert.
This guy could sell a rattle-delete to a snake.
Ice to the Eskimos.
A ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves.
Lili G why would a snakeneed a rattle delete you mean "rattle snake "
Hilarious! A+
I'm not sure why the owner is getting so much hate. I don't normally watch an entire one take video, but Kevin's enthusiasm and knowledge on the XJR held my attention.
so much hate? where?

He's excited and knowledgeable about the car. Isn't that what the series is all about?
this guy should be a Jaguar historian
Should be a jaguar historian? Who's to say that he isn't, lol
he's an enthusiast. that's how jags get to ya. this won't be his last jag, although this jag is the last of the breed that actually looks like a jag.
Own a 04 + type r .. you’ll do the same . They are hands down best car ever
Owner was super knowledgeable, which was interesting. Gotta say the hate for him in the comments in somewhat unjustified. Great vid!
I enjoy all the facts the guy was spewing. Much better than a guy sitting there quiet.
People watch the videos to see Matt describe the driving and how it feels. This was bit different. You could see the awkward smiles on Matt's face now & then. But it's okay. It's just different. He could not stop praising his own car. I would not be surprised if he sells it.

He knows his car..
I dig hearing all the tidbits of information, but the way he modulates his voice is very off-putting for a lot of people.
I was wondering about how the TH-cam world react to my Jag and me; no I don't do cocaine, I had a lot of coffee that morning.
I have the exact same car. 158,000 I have a few small things to fix, but I love it.
jeff blake very nice, it's funny the air shocks just went out on it but $1,800.00 later and it's back on the road. Not bad considering I have 224,000 on it now. Keep yours going bro! 👍🏽
I have to do an air shock and the water pump in the near future. I imagine all the air shocks will need to be done in the next few years.
People have always something to complain... Nice video! I'm interested in Jaguars too. Went looking for an S-type a while ago
You have to be a record holder for Mileage without Air Suspension issues. My first one was replaced at 68k and by 110k the 4th had to be done.
In my view Jaguar's interior is the best. Period. Especially in these classic models. They have some unexplainable "charm" and class that no other luxury cars quite managed to capture. They're "original". You know what I mean? I love the Jag. Thanks for the review.
i know what ya mean. no one does interiors like jaguar does.

Nice Jag though. These with an exhaust can sound really good too.
Most TH-cam commenters are jerks.
And when they get sponsors they are like, "sold your soul". And when they do not have sponsors they say, "poor production work could be more professional", when that costs cash.
I see you have your head on straight thanks 👌🏽

One of my top three favorite vids on this channel. A under appreciated but great car with an owner who knows what he has and isn't afraid to talk about it.
This guy is great! Nice to see someone who is a true enthusiast and knows his stuff
this was an extremely fast 10 minute video, i could listen to this guy go on about random stuff all day.
This guys nickname should be Cool Story Bro
Imagine roadtripping with this guy. Oof, I'd have to taze him.
Banter Man he'd make the road trip more fun
Banter Man Always pepper before the taze. It's an interesting reaction.
haha Matts expression in the first 3 minutes was like "shut the hell up damn, this is gonna be a long ride."
Too risky in the close quarters of a car. Everyone is getting hit.
This is a really nice one take. But I just wish the owner would talk a bit more about the car. There was so much left to talk about.
So true, i had one and wanted to hear Matt's take on it. I had to skip through it looking for Matt to talk. It didn't happen.
A super "One Take" guest. His knowledge of "JAGUAR" is incredibly extensive! His presentation and his POV is honest and very dramatic/colorful to say the least. A unique and very different kind of "One Take" guest in this episode.
I can listen to this guys ramblings all day.
Good to see another boat review!
these cars are alot lighter than you would think. ive seen one of these on the scales it weighed 1580kg which is 3483.304lbs.
+hurrdurrimagrunt stay wrong son
one wake
omg lol
Dude what? XJRs are awesome cars to drive.
Having owned a 2005 XJ8L for over a year now I picked it up for 7 grand, it is so much car for the money.
Fantastic owner, most enthusiastic in the history of Matt Farah's One Take for sure. Makes for excellent viewing, bravo!
It was nice of Matt to guest star on Kevins show.
"X350" is the final derivation of the William Lyons designed Jaguars. Beautiful alternative the "S" Class and BMW 7 Series. Bought a 2008 Vanden Plas 3 years ago with 32,000 miles. Love driving it every day!
good choice.
Are you still driving the Jag today?
technically x358 is
I love the passion coming out of that guy. Awesome car and great review as always.
Love this guy! I have a 2005 xj8l and thought I was the only geek who took the time to learn about my car. Great video.
I do in fact have a 2004 XJR in the British racing green as well, and I just have to say, possibly one of the best cars I’ve owned yet. The look, feel, and ride are just so luxurious, and can take on any other luxury car of the day and leave it in its dust. Truly a spectacular car all around!
This dude was hilarious. I like his energy.
I've bought four jaguars in the last nine months.2 x350 an 2 x308 an love them.
I've never laughed so much watching an episode, this dude is something else lol
GREAT video!!! I'm the lucky one who just two months ago found 2006 VandenPlas with just 32,000 miles on it here in British Columbia Canada. i would have loved to keep listening to him talk. I feel like this video barely scratched the surface of this owner's wealth of knowledge
221k=the jag that can
Ha working on one with 326k miles and looks awesome!!!!
I actually appreciated the info he was sharing
Dude knows his jags

Guy loves to talk
i think he is gay
Ya think??(sarcastic reply)
Typical Jag owner.
Everytime I fast forward the video 10seconds I hear this guy AT ALL TIMES!
Wow, I learned alot about Jaguar in this video, I never knew how reliable and safe these cars were. I don't usually post comments but this is my favorite guest that has ever been on your show Matt!! Thank you for all of your hard work!
This guy is a trip
...he even loves to talk about how he doesn't like the knob 3:00
Holy crap Kevin is possibly the best guest of all time! WOW a pleasure to listen to him, really. Oh yeah! Haha sweet vid, Matt! +1
I want what he's on.
Michael Ellis uncalled for
Michael Ellis Did you just call someone gay as an insult? Bro what year is this?
Martin Skoda They're driving around at high speed in a metal box and you think being gay is the part that's unnatural?
+Michael Ellis lol
+rfouR_ yeah he did and it was hilarious, it’s 2017 by the way. Any more questions?
Compared to other luxury cars of the era, I think these have aged very well, and in another 10 years, will definitely have that "classic car" look to them. On a side note, the closest Jag dealership to this guy should be calling him immediately to offer him a sales position lol...
he is on some Grade A peruvian marching powder lol
loool
Ketan Patel
Lots of booger sugar for sure.
I like this guy. Informed, talkative, and clearly passionate.
This guy has a great personality. He'd make a good radio DJ.
This car is "Class Personified" absolutely amazing. Matt sure didn't have to encourage the owner to talk, ol boy was hella live.
The wheels are atrocious.
Timothy Oldham yes they are. It ruins an otherwise sweet looking car for me
He probably did away with the 19" factories for 20" aftermarkets. Being tht 20" rubbers are more common than 19" and a lot cheapier to. I would have went with the factory 20" sepang wheels. Much classier.
indeed, Sepangs ftw
...the big matchbox car look - not good - too juvenile - cheapens the car.
Brian Mcghee agreed, Sepang’s are the best wheels for the XJR.
i like when a guy is passionate and genuinely knowledgeable about their ride..... btw his jag is sweet!
I bought an 06 XJR last year with 50K miles. LOVE it. And I have a Tesla.
Got a 2005 x400
It's great to see these cars reach such high miles and hold up so well.
These jags are amazing cars! My 2005 jaguar x-type is a Gem with its bulletproof engine and an interior that is the most luxurious I have seen.
"0HHH Yeah "
Wow, wow! Shining like an emerald. Amazing.
That interior is so nice. I love the burlwood.
So nice you guys.
That's one chatty guy for sure! *SNORTS MASSIVE LINE* 😂
People in comments typically being assholes, But i wish more people were like this guy in Matt's videos. He was Informative, outgoing and polite. I actually learnt something new about these cars i didn't know.
"Oh yeah"
Not only did he speak more than Matt, but his volume level was higher. The man simply cannot stop talking.
He definitely loves the sound of his own voice.
I love the fading dudes talking as it moves to the drive-bys 😬
This guy was refreshing! Knowledgeable and obviously a very kind dude. Great one wake overall
Matt do you recommend any shampoo I can use for my balls?
Nothing like a pair of sweaty nuts.
Daniels30 dirty
Dirty nuts need some of that testy shampoo. Otherwise it'll end up like Donald Trump's neck flubber.
0W30 will keep them clean and well lubed
Zacapa Havana acetone never fails
Hi guys, this is a great video of a great car, it's a Jaguar X350 (factory denomination) and is designed and built to truly make you "feel good". I have an X358 LWB (2008) which was the last of this classic shape before they moved onto the new non-jag look and boy does it make me feel good EVERY time I drive her.
I have a feeling that this guy knows everything about his car and nothing else. I feel bad for Matt, he had to fight to get a word in lol
I'm okay with someone who talks circles around Matt. It's fun to watch.
J H It was interesting for sure haha
I literally fast forward 10 times to find a spot where I could hear the engine or Matt give his impression, and owner was talking every time. Honestly, like he was auditioning. Probably was. No hate here, just facts. Good cars.
Woah, almost 4 minutes in and I don't think I actually heard the motor once. It was hilarious just before Matt put his glasses on his eye's said it all :D :D
He's the kinda guy that keeps on telling story after story during road trips, making everyone want to jump out the window.
Nice car. Try to find a set of the multispoke XJR wheels and you're golden.
Nice to see genuine enthusiasm for a genuine car, nice choice of car.
Lol at the cross hanging on the top corner. Guy's high on Jesus.
Probably stumbled into religion through a rehab LOL "Lord forgive me" *SNNIIIFFFFF*
Helps to be good at prayer if you own a Jag I think.
This guy needs his own channel at this point lol I would watch it honestly
Holy mother of cocaine and XJ knowledge...
Just bought a 1999 high miles can't wait to get it back in the shop for repairs looking forward to enjoying that supercharger
"How much HP, 400?" Dude replies, "Nooo, I remember 390-399 but 400 was for the 2006's and up but don't quote me". LMAO this guy is lit fam
It's great when you have guests that can actually talk and carry on a conversation
This guy should do sales.
I have this car and absolutely love it. 04 XJR, just hit 90k. Paid $10,500 4 yrs ago with 78k on the odometer. Few cars can still hold up with such class and elegance after 15 years. I loved this video, very informative :)
I wonder what the insurance is like on these things with the aluminum body. Is it like the NSX where the insurance guy just tells you to bend over?
Insurance is very cheap because the total value is soooooo much less than new. A total loss would only cost them a few grand.
Wow that has aged very well, good owner! Highest I've ever had in a car is 178k in a 1990 Ford Ranger XLT lol :)
Highest I have had is 500,000km on a Nissan Pulsar.
Very nice Nic!
Super_Slav that is amazing!
i had the little sister of this car for just over an year now. a x-type. it was my first car. i love it to death! same colour scheme!
What are THOSE!!!!
This guys enthusiasm is amazing.
Holy verbal diarrhea! I'm surprised Matt didn't stop the car, get out, and walk back.
Truly handsome car
this dude should be matt co-host....its like tiff needle and jeremy clarkson together.
Probably my favourite guest so far! I think he knew everything about his car!
matt got reviewed instead.
I have a 2005 XJR, same color. Absolutely love it! Bought her in 2012 and I don't think I'll ever part ways with her. do you still have it? how many miles?
This is the type of guy you try to get away from slipping thru a door and closing it, with him still talking
...and laughing to yourself thinking he's still there talking to himself - while you have sweet freedom from the ear bashing...I've done that on the phone to people, just go to the kitchen get something to eat, go to the bathroom...
The 2004 - 2009 XJs Were Like the BMW E38s of 1990s They Were Great.
I'd say adderall but he seems like a good dude lol
This guy is hyped up and I love it. So enthusiastic.
great car, but i would have liked that the ower talks a little bit more. ^^
This Guy has the Voice & Personality to be a Great Automotive Journalist!!!
this guys mouth could win a race cause its in 5th gear not trying to down shift
Top gear!
this dude is a top notch human
