I'm a revert sister from South Africa and I have been Muslim for 15 yrs. I really want to applause you because your program has added so much to my knowledge span I appreciate your talks.❤
As Salaam Alaikum, this is a very important topic, I think there should be a part 2 with an expert in islamic finance to talk about learning how to grow your money and obtain wealth the halal way with no interest being involved and how to obtain interest free loans for college or cars and homes as it can be a challenge living in the usa and there not being any islamic banking that I know of where I am from.
Aliyah's view is very healthy Masha'allah. You use money to do more good. Also you can be poor and still give sadaqah. I have had $7 to my name and given 5. Alhamdulilah I was able to give something
Assalamu Alaikum. Kids are in bed and I'm thoroughly enjoying my 'me time' watching HTT. This came at the right time! I literally finished making my 'vision' with so many goals and dreams. My goal was to make more money but this episode taught me that my goals were making money the END when it should ONLY be the means to piety (at some level). I am also the CEO of a charity and I totally understood where Aaliyah was coming from regarding the cost associated with bringing in speakers. But at the same time though, they are a brand and I respect their service and what they believe they are worth. What they've Billy for themselves was no easy task and they should be able to collect all the fruits from their labor. Also, if you enjoy these sisters talks please don't hesitate to donate. The link is in the description and you can even set up reoccurring monthly payments. I would like to see these sisters get recompensed for their beautiful efforts in this world and in the hereafter! Ameen
I think when "poverty" was figuratively used, it confused some of us that having money cannot make you a righteous servant of Allah. Islam preaches modesty, moderation & encourages sadaqat as well as zakat. We had rich and affluent caliphs. Uthman was rich and charitable, so was Abdul Rahman ibn Awf. It's a misconception that only those who live in penury are true servants of Allah. Poverty doesn't equate piety. It's in how the barakah of Allah is expended - what you do with your money determined if you're a righteous slave or a defiant.
When LaYinka talked about being attached to being deprived she explained me perfectly! I didnt even know thats what I was doing! I really want to learn how to manage money and aquire a healthy relationship with it this year inshaallah
Assalamu Alaykum are you able to do a session on polygyny please. Need some more understanding of it from a female perspective as all the talks are from men . Barakallahu feek
Sis check out "Outstanding Personal Relationships" (.com on website and here on youtube and IG and FB with the same name. There are polygyny coaches who are muslima. Inshallah you will take benefit in their free content.
Honestly no exaggeration..doing the workshop on money was the best part from me. The sisters were not just talking and explaining their opinions.. they were discussing solutions 🥰😎👌🏾 yaaas
This was greatly discussed ladies. Money management is something that’s needed in our community. I personally struggle with it myself and I might be practising *deprivation* as Layinka described. It also reminded me the importance of writing wills! We don’t do that either.
So true about muslims taking advantage by asking for discounts lol. My mother was a big spender and very generous to others too. Alhamdulillah. I'm very scared of having money, bit like Alia (the middle lady) for fear of dying with assets and wealth that become snakes in the grave! Have worked all my life, and often resented work that dug into my worship time. Allah always provided more than I need and with baraqa. Alhamdulillah. If you want to be content, don't waste, be grateful in times of plenty AND in times of need. Remember Him and He Will Take Care of the rest. All needs and wants. SubhanAllahe wa behamdehi.
Always a pleasure listening to you lovely sisters. May Allah give us all enough money to live this worldly life and yet keep us closer to hereafter. Ameen
Yes money management in a newly married Muslim home this is definitely something I and a lot of others like me would benefit. Jazakallah khair for your talks, may Allah swt bless all 3 of you and continue to enlighten us all over the world. Lots and lots of love 💘
Jazakallahkhair for this episode. I grew up getting toys and clothes from the salvation army. Now when I can afford clothes and nice things, I still find myself holding back. I always ask, do I really need this? I end up thinking in a very utilitarian way. If I'm trying to fulfill X purpose. I can do it with something cheaper and life is just as much meaningful.
Alhamdulilah such a gift of woman's engaging in matters that we often shy away to speak..May Allah reward you sister's and your entire family In Shaa Allah
Here you are my beloved sisters talking about veiled topics in such an insightful way. HTT has been my “me time” program. I am enjoying and at the same time gaining new perspective from it every time I watch. May Allah reward you sisters for such a blessing service, educating people on religion and social matters. May Allah bless you🙏
SubhanAllah we had a lecture from a sheik from Kuwait that stated to us to live in this life as if your would live forever but work in this life as if your are going to die tomorrow. That has always stuck with me since then because I too have struggled with this. We should try our best in our worldly life as in make money and live the best life we can but also use that money to secure our ahkirah! So happy you all spoke on this. Jazakallah Khair Sisters!

Interesting talk sisters! I wish though there was a discussion about women and money. Since in the Muslim community in general, earning an income is associated with men since they are responsible for providing for family. So many Muslim women, even if they desire financial independence and abundance, they wouldn't go for it, because of the guilt and stigma associated with a woman earning. 'Why do you need money? Your husband has a high paying job' or something along the lines. Many women associate making money for themselves with extravagance and rebellion. Yes, we do have the example of Khadija, but nowadays, when her example is mentioned, I have seen many brothers respond with, Khadija r.a spent all her money on the Prophet pbuh and the Deen, and she stayed at home and managed her business by hiring people to do it for her. Yes, no doubt it is the responsibility of the mother to invest in raising her children, but does that mean she should not be earning on her own? Apart from this, some topics I'd like to suggest in Sha Allah Why Muslim girls are turning to Feminism Saying "No" Interaction with the opposite gender Creativity and Islam Self care Feminity- what does it mean to be feminine, what it is not. I can think of more, I'll add them later in Sha Allah :) You are inspiring sisters. JazakiAllahu Khair
"turning to Feminism " - due to some strictness but mostly bidah. Malik Shabazz when opposing segregation said ONeness of Lord = Oneness of Man. h/e sufi & shia grave worshippers with shia christmas mawlid bida make up new stuff & divide the umma like in Quran 9,31! so this divide leads to unity on material secularism which feminism falls apart of, feminism is like marxism but using a sex divide instead of class. Islam is the balance between 2 valleys, the right is linked to fanatic racism and the left takes that pain and then creates a similar tyranny with political correct marxism, plus they are atheists so they sell out. thats why lobbies buy the left and right. also as Malik shabazz said media is powerful, its makes victims look like criminals with cut and paste info. this is why communism is evil with info discrimination they can lead to all discriminiation! Islam we have a strong basis, creativity is cool with Islam. Prophet peace and blessings on him was nice while saying no.
1) woah. Going to look into depravation attachment. 2) 💯 we need financial education and literacy. I have none. It’s a struggle. 3) it drives me bonkers when people try to haggle with Muslims or small business self employed people but don’t do that with large business and corporations. Flips side, as Aaliyah said, I hate to see religion and spirituality monetized. I come from a Christian background and it was the work there. The answer is the clear and basic guidelines of Islam.
Alhumdulillah, points well made. Solomon was a worldly rich prophet but he had a balance like the sister was referring to. And he glorified Allah, real talk.
The topics that are discussed on your programs are real and it about time we muslim be honest with our selves. That is one od the ways growth happen and Allah S.A.W. loves the truth.
This is an excellent topic I must say and I myself have had this conversation before with my peers in America. What I have found is that in muslim countries people don't have this mindset that poor is piety because it's run by muslims from top to bottom who are rich, pray, and obey the religion while gaining and maintaining wealth. Also when the muslims migrate to the west who are in pursuit of doing business they also don't have this mindset. The notion that religiosity cannot be coupled by having wealth or striving for wealth comes from monastery Catholics and the preaching of the Church to not be of the world. So Muslims reared in the west don't see depictions or examples of religious people and wealth coming together in one lifestyle because the western Christian idea of religious and piety looks down on having wealth if you are a man of God. Therefore the muslims take on the same idea because you literally see people making the choice to forget about religion since they have money and only turning to religion if they are poor which confuses the minds. However when I went to Saudi Arabia to work I saw the healthy balance between religious people and wealth. I mean big money and big homes and they are religious Masha Allah. They understand the middle course because it has always existed in their society so therefore they know how to practice and have both. I say go live with wealthy muslims in prosperous muslim lands and you will be able to strike the balance no doubt. Thank you for covering this topic though. Much needed indeed.
@@ummukatheer247 yeah it's a western thing for sure because as soon as the muslims who migrate from poor countries get to the west they strive for wealth and maintain their deen because they saw it back home. They left their lands for better opportunities and hopes to gain wealth and live a prosperous life. We don't realise how deeply affected we are by us being western and then muslim and that shutting ourselves off from the muslim world hurts us in more ways than one. It is completely western to be off to ourselves, it is completely western to be oblivious to other ways of thinking other than our own. But that's a whole other topic. I'm currently detoxing living in Dubai sis. Lol
Money is they key to success and happiness. The ummah will be restored from wealth. Our honour will be restored from it. Poverty drives people away from religion.
I don't want to agree but sadly in my own culture I've seen what money does to people. It drives them crazy. I have seen some parents or in-laws treat their well-behaved, respectful, devout, hardworking sons/daughters/in-laws badly because they were poor/on low income/relied on their husbands money but treat other rude, ill-mannered son/daughter/in-laws well simply because they are wealthy. haha Asians for you - money buys their respect. Pakistanis will never stop having a Hindu mentality. more money = more respect.
I believe the negative view people have with wealth and rich people is how society tells us to act with money. Society tells us to put your faith in your money and social standing or that your value is connected to your salary. If you always put God first, that protects you from the sins we associate with financial status.
The reason why some people believe having a lot of money is bad is because they are ignorant of the Islamic perspective towards money. And being blessed with a lot of money can actually be a test from Allah to see how you manage it.
Loved this episode so much! Speaking on the context of speakers expecting 1st class flights and 5* hotels... on one hand I don’t think it’s wrong since it’s all arbitrary. A charity shouldn’t pay for this but that doesn’t mean other means couldn’t be sought to do so. On the other hand I wish digital keynotes was utilised to work round this dilemma. I’m of the view that it’s all arbitrary and there’s always a way to make it work and the value or roi is a key factor when deciding. I hear Aliyah’s concerns for attachment towards money is the worrying thing. But then I’m reminded that coming into/ earning a lot of money doesn’t so much as change a person but amplifies the running traits within a person’s view and beliefs around it. Like, if you’re already a generous person then you’d be even more generous. Similarly if you tend to squander money then you’d squander a large amount too.
Another amazing talk, engaging, it’s nice to have a light episode. Sister LaYinka you looking kinda spicy today MashaAllah Allahuma barik. 👌🏼😍. Wear more colour it suits you.

Macha Allah good job my sisters may Allah reward you abundantly for bringing up this program. Related to this topic I will like to say everything goes on the concept of modesty... our beloved prophet saw used to seek protection from weakness and poverty. So extreme poverty can lead you to disobey Allah and extreme wealth can let you go astray feeling arrogant. Both should be moderately priced in relation to our deen.
Allahuma Barik wa Zid! Please make dua for me! I also would like to contribute toward benefiting the Ummah, but something holds me back always! Make dua for me In Sha Allah 💕
Sallam alaiykum waramotullah wabarakatu,All praise to Allah who has guided us to Islam and using you as a voice to those who doesn't have a voice May Allah continue to guide you and your family .I always look forward to every episode but I will like you to discuss racism in the Muslim community if that is not too much to ask . May Allah reward all your efforts and I pray we all meet in Jannah.Ameen
In my case am grateful that the more I get money the more I appreciate Allah for providing me with such and I pray that Allah keeps me in that state of mind as I earn to get more
Really you are amazing no doubt 💛💙💜also the topics you talk about is very useful and its what people need now days 😑 go on my sisters 💪we hope God protect you from enemies 🍃we are wating the next episode passionally 😊
I will say as Muslim you should have money in ur hand and allah in your heart. Some of the sahaba were rich they contributed their wealth in a way that islam reaches us today they spend their wealth to defend islam to give charity See abubakar ,osman ibn afan, omar ibn khadab But of you are poor you may depend on others which islam did not encourage .prophet mhmd saw say المؤمن القوي خير وأحب إلى الله من المؤمن الضعيف وفي كل خير.
I honestly love you guys so much and watch all of these episodes! Alhamdulilah and jazakAllah khayr for these. I would LOVE to know what you guys think of Jinn possession vs. mental illness.
thanks ladies! i think because of the different types of sources of income in our 'time', people might find that 'its not exactly' how the prophet peace be upon him derived wealth. so i agree with Layinka, we need our respected scholars to talk more about how technology interacts with money? what part of it is legitimate? when is a type of technology still not "fit" for generating income? what is the difference between a common need in a given area versus the need to create income? these lines are a bit grey for me. essentially: if as muslims we can distribute ourselves across all sectors more equally and then we get educated on proper royalty. going to try to get my health together and support this channel more (with any needed Arabic language services)
This is a great topic and much-needed. There’s actually a brother named Shannaan Dawda who is a certified CPA trained by Dave Ramsey. He has a book titled from Paychecks to Power and also courses that he teaches in high schools. He’s based in Atlanta, GA, USA and you can find his work online. Shannaan is a dope brother so please reach out for financial advice! He offers coaching as well for those who want deeper guidance.
Dawah should not involve money ideally... there are many pious Aalims who charge nothing for talks. We should work towards not needing to charge for Deen... InshaAllah we will get there. There are more important topics about money, Questions like: 1. Does a woman earning money mean she has a greater authority in the home. 2. Does a woman earning more than her husband mean she has greater value in the relationship. 3. Can marriage problems be associated with economic hierarchy in favour of the wife. 4. If money is power, does that translate to power over her husband. 5. Is the feminist drive for female money, power, and control also found in the minds of Muslims. 6. what should be our focus once Allah blesses us with money. 7. If Allah blesses us with wealth, should be buy a Ferrari or take a second wife.
If we don't want Aalims to not charge anything for the da'wah, it means that they need another job because they still have a family to take care of. That would mean that they are not able to do the dawah that they are able to do if we actually pay them. None of the earlier scholars has ever said that you must not be paid for your service as an Imam, lecturer, teacher, etc. The only reason why Imam Abu Hanifah was of the opinion that one should not charge for Ta'leem of the Quran is because there was Baytul Maal and the teacher would already be paid from there. Since there is no Baytul Maal anymore, Ahnaf (hanafis) also gave the opinion that payment for Ta'leem of Quran and other religious services can and should be charged for. The consequences of not allowing those ulama give lectures or talks if they charge money are so severe and the deen of the ummah is put at risk, that it is totally against the maqasid (aims) of the Sharia. While reading your comment, I was thinking about through which device you wrote the comment. A laptop? A mobile phone? A tablet? So, you are willing to pay for this kind of luxury products which are of no need for you hereafter and which you have to leave in this world, but you refuse to invest in your hereafter and your knowledge about the deen at all... I see.
Even though money is evil act for humans but it makes also life easy they are un comparable goodness I wish if life could have been better with out money .
19:20 That's a viciously sexist and narrow minded thing to say about what "men" do. The du'āt I know and Scholars I've studied with over the years were not uninvolved fathers or husbands. They didn't just leave the house while throwing up peace (✌🏾) signs - such 'ajīb thing to assume. Heck, I know proper students of knowledge who wouldn't accept invitations unless arrangements were made for their wives and/or families. Maybe the males in your lives or experiences choose to move in that fashion. But, a proper man of the Sunnah would never, bārakaAllāhu fīkunna.
And why are you assuming they are coming from a vicious sexist paradigm ,ya akhi..lets not go there for the love of our brothers and sisters in deed,in true spirit of sunnah..
Money and wealth shouldn't actually be an issue with Muslims,it really depends on how much you want more than what you need(lifestyle)Allah ta a'lla is the provider, nourisher, sustainer Allah hu Akbar, and all of us will get what's due to us,whether you work towards it or not
I like how they went from teh hadith of majority being of poor to zakat and saving money. Masha Allah! There were some rich righteous ppl, I think Prophet David or Calipha Uthman Alehom Salam! Being charitable is good obviously. sister sumaya on zuhud angle was nice. I like how they mentioned Abu Bakr coming to Islam! wealth can be a means of Sadaqa! girls talkinga bout how they like money... bwaha recall halal and haram money making all the time! - lessons on that fiqh could be good. ah familiar amount of money... 16,00 on sisters who buy alot of bags and then not paying little for classes. yea speakers asking for alot on charity money can grate, brand name. setting standatds it good

We have to learn halal and haram money making, like 08 stock crash was due to gambling, Islam forbids things like that.
Let say masha allah tabarakallah to Honest tea talk and this is ecstatic topic
This episode got me laughing so much, your expressions are everything🥰. I like how real Aliyah was🌟. "Deprivation attachment" got me thinking🤔😅
Alhumdulillah, points well made. Solomon was a worldly rich prophet but he had a balance like the sister was referring to. And he glorified Allah, real talk.
May Allah bless us all with a healthy relationship with money. Ameen.
The topics that are discussed on your programs are real and it about time we muslim be honest with our selves. That is one od the ways growth happen and Allah S.A.W. loves the truth.
Being comfortable with a little amount of money is so real.
scw this channel deserves over million sub insha allah oneday it will reach
Wow the next episode is gonna be amazing ✨✨✨we so need to talk about this
This is an excellent topic I must say and I myself have had this conversation before with my peers in America.
I have seen the same and completely agree. There is not that type of gap in mentality with wealth and deen
Lol
I love watching you sisters talk about issues. Keep the great work up. May Allah be pleased with your efforts. Salaam !
@@trevorphillips3340 thanks for your input and being honest.
May Allah reward you for this motivating talk
I believe the negative view people have with wealth and rich people is how society tells us to act with money. Society tells us to put your faith in your money and social standing or that your value is connected to your salary. If you always put God first, that protects you from the sins we associate with financial status.
I love the originality, the discussion is so natural, easy to absorb and relate ... Masha'Allah sisters
MashaAllah.
Interesting topic
The reason why some people believe having a lot of money is bad is because they are ignorant of the Islamic perspective towards money. And being blessed with a lot of money can actually be a test from Allah to see how you manage it.
I should say thank you for another great episode xx
Similarly if you tend to squander money then you’d squander a large amount too.
one can be really wealthy but can still be a muttaqi. Its all abt having tht Ilm,taqwa and simplicity to manage the negative side of money.
Her face at 12:10 when she says “I’m remembering my mom” 😂😂

Another amazing talk, engaging, it’s nice to have a light episode.
Sister LaYinka you looking kinda spicy today MashaAllah Allahuma barik. 👌🏼😍. Wear more colour it suits you.
Sister Jannah but also the material. The combo of the material and colour is ma shaa Allah ☺️
Just a reminder. If your salary is your only source of income, then you are one step away from poverty.

Both should be moderately priced in relation to our deen.
jazakAllah khair for a lovely episode sisters..
For me having substantial amount of money means losing my relatability with a lot of people i grew up.
Continue the good work...... i am always looking forward for your next episode as its always interesting. May Allah bless you all
Allahuma Barik wa Zid!
Please make dua for me! I also would like to contribute toward benefiting the Ummah, but something holds me back always! Make dua for me In Sha Allah 💕
I think I agree with Aaliya when it comes to the speakers charging huge amounts
Masha Allah tabarakallah. You guys are doing a great job. Allaah bless you 😍

I will say as Muslim you should have money in ur hand and allah in your heart.
Some of the sahaba were rich they contributed their wealth in a way that islam reaches us today they spend their wealth to defend islam to give charity
See abubakar ,osman ibn afan, omar ibn khadab
But of you are poor you may depend on others which islam did not encourage .prophet mhmd saw say
المؤمن القوي خير وأحب إلى الله من المؤمن الضعيف وفي كل خير.

Mashaallah great talks I’m looking forward to the next episode 👍☺️
thanks ladies! i think because of the different types of sources of income in our 'time', people might find that 'its not exactly' how the prophet peace be upon him derived wealth. so i agree with Layinka, we need our respected scholars to talk more about how technology interacts with money? what part of it is legitimate? when is a type of technology still not "fit" for generating income? what is the difference between a common need in a given area versus the need to create income? these lines are a bit grey for me. essentially: if as muslims we can distribute ourselves across all sectors more equally and then we get educated on proper royalty. going to try to get my health together and support this channel more (with any needed Arabic language services)
Wa alaikum salaam sister, definitely get in touch with us via email regarding translation. We look forward to hearing from you.

Asalamualikum sister's love the show alots, one think I really love the most is that small beautiful coffee table.
I have noticed your conversations that the end point is “It always comes down to moderation” which is intrinsic to Islam
Interesting conversation in regard to money.
Sister 2.5% is whatever you got. You don't strive for money if it comes to you then you should spend wisely.
sallamu alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuhu Masha Allah very interesting lecture. talking about money is always an interesting topic.
Interesting discussion.
ManshAllah really beautiful Topic I love it Jazaakum Allahu kharan sister's, May Allah reward you that for share with us
ManshaAllah, love y'all.
11:05 I can’t 😂❤️
Dawah should not involve money ideally... there are many pious Aalims who charge nothing for talks.
We should work towards not needing to charge for Deen... InshaAllah we will get there.
There are more important topics about money, Questions like:
I see.
I really loved loved loved this episode

Yes if it is for religious it should be a Love offering but if it is a corporates speech engagement you should have a set price.
The topic is very interesting masha allah👍👍👍❤

Money and wealth shouldn't actually be an issue with Muslims,it really depends on how much you want more than what you need(lifestyle)Allah ta a'lla is the provider, nourisher, sustainer Allah hu Akbar, and all of us will get what's due to us,whether you work towards it or not
Assalamu Alaykum sisters,,,Masha'Allah that's a beauty show Allah keep us safe from the covic9 amin❤
