Do you have a dark soul? One that’s filled with envy & jealousy. Remember, such traits won’t get you anywhere. You’ll end up miserable & disillusioned with life. Be happy for others. Congratulate their success & send out lots of positive energy! It will all come back to you!

I think, Jealousy or envy is when someone's achievements ( especially someone you know or close to you) worries you and throws you off a cliff, because you never wanted them to surpass you and you now want them below your feet and that's is when you get comfort.

    • @falsesectslikeshiaarejudeo6543

I think jelous is wanting what others have or being affected thinking it would be useful to you, but envy is not wanting them to have it or have it removed if i recall!
Aroogance is rejecting the truth and looking down on the ppl for Allah is beautiful and Loves beauty. He also loves Modesty.

It is very normal to be jealous even the Prophet Muhammad sallahu alayhi wasallam wives were jealous but to stay in that state is very dangerous. May Allah save us from it.

Jealousy is a complex emotion that encompasses feelings ranging from suspicion to rage to fear to humiliation. It strikes people of all ages, genders, and sexual orientations, and is most typically aroused when a person perceives a threat to a valued relationship from a third party.

I can admit that in the past & even a little now, I lost 3 babies & my sisters & friends have children & I do feel a bit jealous & inadequate sometimes, but I take comfort in the fact that God knows how he created me & why I have no children & just knowing that God sees not only the beginning of a thing but also the end, so he alone knows where he's taking me & what my journey is all about.

    I'm loving Layinka's view,
I go as far as saying am jealous to whoever it is to mean "am loving it"
I may be wrong, but I feel am able to say this out of the contentment I feel from within.
I instead of feeling the actual jealousy, I feel and get motivated by other people's achievement.

Jealousy is indeed the root of intense insecurity. I prrsonally suffered from this heart disease for a really long time and it was so distressing. My mental health was at the lowest point it had ever been. I had isolated myself and spent gloomy days and nights until ofc, Allah pulled me out. I made lots and lots of dua, and quran healed my insecurity, its took months but today i stand at a place i wouldn't have imagined for myself, Alhamdulillah. The experience increased my faith. Always remember, there's always a bright shining sun that rises after a dark night. Never EVER lose hope in Allah. It may take months, or more but he'll get you out from your dark nights, just work om your tawakkal allah

thats cool….. i‘m too afraid to check my past if i experienced intense insecurity, but if could be possible. however, i‘m very deep in that hole since childhood. i had this very great hate towards other muslimas and people, who are achieving something. and it never got cured. so it ruined my life, and tadaa - look at where i am 🙂 a 21 year old, irritated, lost, jobless person, who just sinks more and more into the darkness.

    Salam alaikum everyone !
Thank you sisters for your great talk. I just want to precise that there is a difference between jealousy and envy.
Jealousy as you have said, is a natural feeling. It's thinking for example "wow that person is so rich, I wish I could be as rich as him/her". Jealousy is wanting what another person has.
Envy, however, is like jealousy but it's a more "evil" feeling. It's thinking "Why is he rich ? I wish I was that rich and that he wasn't. I wish he loses his wealth, and I wish I could gain wealth". So, envy is wanting what someone else has, and wishing they don't have it. You can be happy for someone's success but still be jealous, but when you envy, you are never happy with what that person has, and you wish they lose it.
I would also like to add, whenever you like what someone else has, even though you don't feel envious or jealous, just say MASHALLAH ; make it a habit! Even when you compliment yourself or your own child!
Evil eye is very real. Do not be paranoid and think everyone is giving you evil eye or has done witchcraft towards you (its actually haram to accuse someone of withcraft with undeniable proof)...but don't always think "oh it's not evil eye, your exagerating". If in doubt, always do research or talk to an imam. Evil eye is real, but mental and physical health problems and depression are real too.
Someone very close to me was afflicted by either evil eye or black magic, recently. For 3 weeks she couldn't sleep (like max 1-2h everyday) and she worked full time; she was always so tired. She wasn't able to hear quran without feeling sick and shaking. Her husband tried read duas for her, and she was shaking and told him to stop. They knew now that she was afflicted and did roukia (and imam read the quran and duas), the lady was shaking uncontrollably, and at the end she stopped shaking. She was right away able to read quran and sleep well, Subhan Allah.
Sadly, her husband also was starting to act weird about a month and a half ago, he prays all the time and reads duas constantly. However, he is paranoid , he thinks everyone is out to get him, and has stopped working as an uber driver (because he assumes the clients are out to get him). He has symptoms that are exactly like the paranoid personality dissorder...he had roukia at the same time as his wife but nothing changed with him. Should I tell him to go see a psychiatrist or does anyone think he might be afflicted by something ? He is paranoid, anxious and depressed. He starting talking medication for depression , which has helped but hasn't changed the paranoia. This is affecting his whole family since he cannot work for now :(.

Please talk about it that is a choice....it is a life style choice that our religion gives....it should not be discussed in the context of convincing women to agree or to feel obligated which I see all the time. This is something that our prophet practiced but did not force people to practice. That this is a discussion between a husband and wife and only they can say whether they want to live and practice something that is allowed but does not make you any less for not and if a wife is not comfortable with it she should be given choices to stay or leave and not be told she is shellfish she is not s good wife ...

I’ve struggled with jealousy a lot but it’s to do with some friend. I adore my friend a lot and respect her a lot but her presence somehow makes me feel low if that makes sense? This has been happening for years as in 3 years or so. I just wish I was happy for her without the jealousy but it’s like I’m happy but I feel bad at the same time because I’m envious of her, everything about her. It’s such a weird thing and I’ve been praying about it but it just won’t go away. I wish I didn’t feel this way.

Remember to always say MashaAllah when you see beautiful things, because we can unintentionally put a bad eye on children or wealth.

The advice is to seek Allah's blessing on that thing (i.e. 'May Allah bless it/him/her/them') more so than saying mashaAllah.

Honest Tea Mashallah to Avert the Evil Eye
In addition to being a term of praise, 'Mashallah' is often used to avert trouble or "the evil eye." It is most often used to avert trouble when a positive event has occurred. For example, after noting that a baby is born healthy, a Muslim would say mashallah as a way to avert the possibility that the gift of health will be taken away.
'Mashallah' is used specifically to avert jealousy, the evil eye, or a jinn (demon). In fact, some families tend to use the phrase every time praise is given (for
example, "You look beautiful tonight, mashallah!")

I'm glad you touched on the affliction subhanAllah, there is so much fear, there's hijama therapists out there that won't treat sisters with affliction as if the jinn is going to jump in them. I mean the jinn came to that person for a reason, it's not jumping in to everyone left, right and centre. Having affliction is a very lonely experience, not always intentional by others, but as you said, people don't understand unless they've gone through it themselves, friends sometimes get scared hearing about it and then you shut down and don't address the problem because everything becomes heightened when you're doing ruqya, emotions all over the place, on and off denial that it is happening, the physical pain that comes with reciting Qura'an, feeling burning and being choked, and heightened anxiety. Not having support around you really makes you feel like you're the crazy one subhanAllah, and the internal conflict then heightens that, shubuhaat etc. It's nice that you've touched on this taboo topic, yes people don't need to shout these things from the rooftop, but not feel something is wrong with them if afflicted, and to feel that support because it is a physical and mental battle that can be very draining at times and make you feel like you're stuck in a never ending tunnel wa lakin the reward will in shaa Allah be great if accompanied with sabr. May Allah alleviate all brothers and sisters suffering from this ameen.

Honest Tea Talk nice ! So question I am new convert since October 2019. I am having a hard time putting on a swim cap on is the any other options? I don’t think I’m ready yet for that. I am going one piece so for me that’s modest from a two piece. But with my hair I’m doing a girls trip and we will be going to the pool/beach. I am getting anxiety with all the questions I might be asked of well why are you not covering your hair at pool and beach but you cover in other places, etc. what is a meet in the middle for swimming and covering hair? I also am trying to figure out if my hair is wet how to transition from wet hair to hijab if we going from pool straight to some other activity?? So lost help? I don’t want to bumbard myself with too much like I did in the beginning with hijab.

@@marliesbaker7001 salams, besides a swim cap you could wear a burkini with a hardcover and when done swimming use a dark coloured i.e. black Hijab/hair wrap afterwards. It won't be so obvious if it does get slightly damp

And be happy. Prophet SAW also went through this very high test.
Do not give in to sin. You will not get Shifa like this. Dua dhikr and also staying happy and being around family close friends positive people

This actually shows the beauty of modesty between women. another thing ppl forget!
12 - Yusef Alehas SAlam was told to hide his dream.
True we are to use our blessings for Islam, hadith there was a man who did good to encourage good deeds by others!
And virtue comes from Allah, shaytan got arrogant to Adam.
If it serving the Din be happy, agreed, if its haram be upset.
its from Tawakul and confidence i guess...
in the struggle can be alot of good deeds.
Appreciating what Allah has given you can prevent jelousy i guess.
18 - nice reminder, some Muslims don't get the unseen.
24 - possibly & there is a duah to avoid what someone is afflicted with as well.
Allah hu Akbar, sis Sumayah reminding us to return to the Sunnah of the Prophet peace and blessings on him. Jazak Allahu Khayr!

Sisters last season I disagreed with you ladies about how you’ll discussed sexual relations and I still disagree but MashaAllah this is the first episode I watched from season 2. I loved 💕 this episode because it covers different aspects of jealousy and what it can lead to. I’ve personally seen a person who was inflicted with sihir and Walahi its no joke. I loved how you ladies dealt with the topic with compassion. May Allah SWT reward you sisters and increase your rank in this life and the next. May He SWT also forgive your shortcomings. Amiin. One way to get rid of jealousy is making dua for the one your jealous of. When ever you make Dua for a Muslim there is an angel making Dua to Allah SWT on your behalf for you. Saying oh Allah give him the same. If your making Dua for the person eventually it won’t make sense to hate him. Love for your brother what you love for yourself and ask the one that gave to him because Allah’s bounty SWT is never ending!
