I love watching you both get so excited, especially Andrew. His little kid comes out and we don't get to see him as much. You are to cute when you get excited Jos, your voice changes and your fingers start moving because you have to touch and hold the object. You both are a fantastic couple and work so well together. Even Banana Box Daddy is an awesome addition to the family.

My son bought me a puzzle box about 25 years ago in Costa Rica, everyone that is new to the family we give them the puzzle box to figure out. First test of being in the family. :)
Cobalt is said to keep the evil away. Looked like Vicks Vaporub jars. My mother would plaster me with that stuff whenever I was sick as kid.

Cyd in MD. That puzzle box reminded me of a box with a surprise that I bought at a yard sale. We bought a tin box shaped like a taxi cab. On the way home I opened it. Inside were $20.00 bills all accordion folded = $100.00. We turned around and went back to the yard sale. I cornered the seller and asked if he had ever opened the box. Sheepishly he admitted it was a birthday gift from a friend and he had never opened it. I opened it. SURPRISE! Of course, we returned the money and suggested he call his friend and say thank you :-)

I remember when I was in school the food was surved in trays like the silver tray you pulled out. This was in the 70, 80 and 90s. I graduated from high school about 36 years ago in Puerto Rico

It kinda makes your head spin going to an auction where they have more than one auctioneer calling at the same time ,just gotta be there early to check it out a head of time

Jeps, it's Royal Copenhagen decorative plants. That viking ship plate it says Norway, in Norwegian. I don't know too much about it, it is a tourist piece.
What alot of resellers are doing now is having live auctions on TH-cam. It's kinda a good idea, there's not fees or anything, you get a video out of it and the only thing is postage.
By the way Facebook market place does shipping now and the make the labels as well.... you should look into it.
Puzzle boxes sell for a lot depending on the wood. I have several and they are expensive. Get it!
Looks like fun. My Aunts had the concessions at an auction house when I was an young adult. I loved going there on Thursday evenings. That's how I furnished my first appartment.

I’ve always loved auctions & was 10 when I bid off my first buy. 25 cents!! I’m going to find something local to go to. I stopped going when my Mom wasn’t able to go anymore which was about the time auctions in general were dying out in my corner of the Midwest anyway

I have a puzzle box similar to the one you found. They were sold in Hawaii at the open markets. Mine is a smaller one in the shape of a sea turtle and came from the Island of Oahu in Hawaii. Your larger one is a jewelry box with hibiscus flowers on it.
You really found some great goodies today Joce, but I don't envy you the noise. The sound of auctioneer's always drives me nuts. They are always too loud and too repetitious. Glad you had a good time and found some good bargains. Have a great day!
The puzzle box is from a carpenter who sells them on QVC
that little piano was given at a concert....my mom won one when i was young and i had it until she gave it to one of her friends because she really loved that little piano....i would have to ask my mom the story of that little piano. Pretty sure it was worth something

"Banana Box Daddy" gets the "not wants" by Andrew & Jos, seems they pick out all the good stuff. Sorry but they always seem to get the better deal, bulk selling for him or not. Then again he seems perfectly happy with it, even pointing out things they may have missed. Wow, what a guy! That friendship works for them. OK, Bromance, lol.

@3:51. I have two of these puzzle boxes! There’s three pieces to it. I saw the wooden lock mechanism on yours, you pull that out and then slide the top part off and another covered top comes off to show a hidden compartment. I love these! Look up “Carver Dan’s” puzzle boxes. @25:52 The puppy lighter is too cute! ❤️
Oh hey! I'm a cobalt blue girl and those mini cobalt bottles I use to puting on mini bottle tree's in my landscaping. I collect the cobalt blue koi fish from "Fish In the Garden" and then I have bottle tree's in bush sizes I bought online and the tiny blue bottles work ou great on them. Just a thought for any other crazy little blue girls like me who dig the smaller scale bottles and want other ways to display them in the sun. Does Eric have a channel? He seems like a interesting character. Auctions intimidate me I'm not sure why lol. Dang it I need a wooden fern stand like that one lol. Oh God... I'm as old as that wooden army dude withthe cond. issues cause we were both born in 74 lmao.

Question ? When you picked up the vase at the beginning and you said you thought it was more modern but to look old. How do you tell ? I have 2 vases that I want to list and others have listed them as being very old but I'm not sure. I don't want to deceive anyone
Please tell Andrew to look up "Show of Shows" it's an amazing ALL history and military memorabilia show. I believe it's in York, Pa in September. I go to the one in Louisville with my brother every year. It's got everything war, history and military you can imagine. Andrew would be geeking out.

Those floral vases in the box with the grape carnival are lovely. They looked liek they might have been yellow. You know how hard it is to find nice looking older vases in yellow!!

The clear art glass bird may be by FM Ronneby, Sweden. Or I saw some that looked pretty similar by Viking, too. Nice auction! ✌🏼❤️
At 6:48 a pyramid with marguerite angels appeared and first I thought that's by Wendt & Kühn but it doesn't have that logo on the bottom. The company is KWO though. Those go for good money, though I have no idea where the blades went. You need them to make it rotate with candle heat. They have a blue dot each that matches the darker blue of the pyramid.

I realy enjoyed that trip to the auction there was a bracelet in that box with a green stone that is connamara marble i was itching for you to pick it up. The bracelet you got i did match you saying its got a bord on it with my gin and tonic needless to say i wont be doing that too often.

Hiya guys, would you believe w/ close to 50 years selling vtg/antique I’ve never been to an auction? Ok in the U.K. I’ve been to Devonshire farm auctions, but anything I wanted from the home (MCM tea cart) I couldn’t bring home; most was farm tools, fun- not! The farmers all called me “Barbie” as I had pink wellies🤣! Cool experience, even had a food truck! Here auctions are only for very expensive 19C antiques or well known art collections for the wealthy to get a “bargain”. Looks like you found great stuff, had fun! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️
