Hello, I believe the brass wall mirror that opened, wasn’t a hair brush, but a coat brush and shoe brush, which it hangs on the wall, usually for last minute brush of the suit. 💗💗
We're back in the U.S. now, but we spent 2 years in Belgium and 8 years in England, back when my husband was in the Army. I went to flea markets all over the Belgium, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and France. I MISS THOSE DAYS so much!
I live in France and bought the exact same lucite paper clip in a beautiful light green for 2 euros on a garage sale. I love it ❤ the beautiful wooden box Says « Souvenirs d’artillerie Anvers » and at the back the name was certainly Arthur Dupont (very common name) most likely a box he made to put his souvenirs from time spent at war or in the army. Soldier also used to make some in the trenches. But if made between 1900-1910 it is most likely made during his time during the army as WWI only started in 1914
At 26:15 you showed a “dude with an umbrella inside”. That’s originally a painting from the German artist Carl Spitzweg which is called Der arme Poet (The poor poet). It hangs in Munich and was created in 1839.

Wow, this was utterly amazing Laura. You and Sarah looked like you're having the time of your life. An ideal travel companion for you (when Jesse can't that is 😊). Your camera work is absolutely perfect, best videos on YT! ❤
Love the trench art vases had poppies… a symbol of remembrance. Thank you Laura, husband proposed in Bruges. I was so excited that night I couldn’t eat. We went back twenty years later in July 2023. I ate then!
In Piedmont, Italy, where I lived for a year, they had this flea market in the street one Sunday a month, each Sunday they had it in a different town. Amazing things from long ago with good prices. Love from Galicia, Spain.

I love that there are still pictures of Saint Bernard's carrying casks of brandy around their necks, I hope we never lose that urban legend 😂
Way, way back, the St Bernards really were sent out with casks of liquor by monks that lived in the mtns to rescue lost or distressed travelers
