I continue to live vicariously through you from my Lower Central Michigan location. One thing I am discovering I miss, I hadn’t thought to miss is the SOUNDS while looking through things, the SOUNDS of the crunch of the stones under feet, the SOUNDS of conversations all around. I first watch to learn from you, second, to experience it a bit visually with you (my grandparents would take me every Thursday in the summer, (leaving at 4am) way back in the 1970’s and we’ve done so with thrifts, finds, sales since, and finally those many conversations, then I play again and close my eyes to listen while playing the video again. I feel like I get my ‘Fix’ to maintain my positive mind & sanity just a bit! 😂❤️
TODAY I BOUGHT A VINTAGE TOY, from my favorite antique shop... I went first thing when they opened and just bought it. It's all my husband will allow as he's nervous about my RA, but I BOUGHT SOMETHING IN REAL LIFE!
Giuseppe Armani was an artist in Florence, Italy and his hand painted porcelain/resin figurines were sold worldwide and were last distributed by Miller Imports. Years ago when the collectable market was huge, you would find his sculptures in collectable gift shops and some jewelry stores. He also did some figurines for Disney. Fabrizio Tani, another artist, worked with Armani in his later years. I had the honor and privilege of meeting both these artists and had seen Armani sculpt in person. It is something I will never forget. Shortly after Armani died, the collectable market was heading downward and I do not believe the majority of these pieces are produced anymore. However, the molds for Armani's Disney figurines are still being used by Arribas Brothers to produce delightful Disney pieces.
I have Armani figurines collected many years ago I treasure!. I also had the blessing of meeting G. Armani at one of his events in Maryland where he signed my sculptures. I still have the photo of us too. Such an incredible artist. But yes sadly soon after his passing the market declined.
I get so much enjoyment from watching you have fun buying treasures at the flea markets. Between the friendly vendors and the great prices, who could resist? 🥰

I go to the peddlers Mall in Lexington ,Richmond ,Berea KY. They have great stuff I spent a lot of money they're an they have stuff for free to I got 2 glass yellow vase and they are old the antique store offered me $500 for each one..... And yesterday I got 2 old doll made by hand I wish I could send you pictures of the stuff

You should try Simichrome Polish for metal cleaning. I use it for brass, silver and Bakelite. It also will take the scale from mother of pearl buttons.
You would go bonkers here in Austria (Europe). The thrift store are full of midcentury modern stuff and nobody wants it. It's just not in fashion at the moment. If you should ever consider a trip to Europe then come and visit Austria 😃👍🏻

Um...I hope you're joking, lol. Sourcing antiques is not like stocking a store. There's no one place where you can source antiques. Antiques come from everywhere. Thrift stores. Flea Markets. Curbs. Dumps. Friends/Family. Antique Malls. House Cleanouts. She can't just tell you, "Oh, there's a store right next to your house called Antiques R us and everything is a dollar!" There is no such thing, hon, lol.
