- In today’s video, I’ll be looking at the feats of the two most recent silent protags in gaming that’s been making some noise lately, the Tarnished from the Elden Ring Universe and Link from the Legend of Zelda franchise and comparing them to see who would come out on top. Does Link beat the entirety of the Elden Ring Pantheon? Does the Tarnished solo? Or is it closer than you think?

Link is the main protagonist in Nintendo’s “The Legend of Zelda” video game series. He is often depicted as a courageous hero who embarks on quests to rescue Princess Zelda and defeat the antagonist, Ganon, across not just era’s but also across other timelines while navigating the fantasy world of Hyrule.

I did not think The Tarnished was this powerful. He might be equal or slightly above Sora. Really Impressive.
Two quick points from the first couple minutes. 1. Link doesnt have to use the Fierce Deity mask to beat Majora, he scales to Majora in base then gets amped to be even higher above with the FD mask. 2. Demise shouldn't be counted when talking about threats Ganondorf is superior to since Hyrule hadnt yet been founded when Demise was around. Plus ganandorf is a reincarnation of Demises Curse, meaning it would still be Demise causing the threat

It's Canonically confirmed in the historia that link used the firece deity mask to kill majora outside of gameplay
Even if the Triforce had to manifest itself, it obeys the one who *touched* it first, a single touch (and a balance of Courage, Power and Wisdom to prevent the split of it if you don't wanna work to unify it) grands you and ONLY you access to infinite power in the form of Omnipotent Wishes for as long as you live.
Meaning contact with this object gives you the Potential of becomming (almost) equal to the Christian God.
It is indeed possible for the Triforce to have multiple owners at once, this would prevent someone else of becomming Omnipotent if he has to kill those first who shared their wish with the Triforce, so if both somehow Touch it at the same time this technically evens both out (if it would be put against each other it might be interesting to see, since it's infinity vs infinity then)

Late to the video, but I also like to add that if someone wants to leave out cut content of the Miranda flowers, then you could use the golden order greatsword and Miquella/Radagon ring of light incantation as a way to give the tarnished speed of light feat, since the item description and even the title state that those things are made of light.

I truly appreciate that, after seeing the general landscape of ER and Link scaling I felt like had to step in on some Thanos sh*t lol.
Also, could you possibly do a more “in depth” dive of Bloodborne scaling? I’m tired of people saying that it doesn’t even get to town level or sonic speeds. Plus it would allow me to point people towards this channel.
Bloodborne would scale to complex multy via cosmology and Great Ones. With some bosses having space-time manipulation, reality bending, dimensional travel/ascension/transcendence/creation/destruction. The verse lack a bit in Speed (ftl via laser Attack) but if you use the comics (even if they are not Canon) you can scale it to inaccessible lvl of Speed via the Moon side Lake. Hunter have many weapons, moder/advanced tech, but not really something like Tarnished or Link (like elemental or conceptual weapons, magic or Attack). Hunter is very skilled in taking down Monster (since that's the purpose of Hunters). He can feel and see higher/lower dimensions (via Insight stats lorewise) so he have some kind of Cosmic/dimensional awarness. For AP, he would scale between Universal to complex multy, since Great Ones create whole higher dimensions. If you want, i can send you the Bloodborne cosmology scaling on Discord (to he honest, Bloodborne is mostly carried if not carried only by the Cosmology)

Both character’s are close in terms of strength and attack potency, but the tarnished wins since they out hax the hunter in terms of abilities and have better/more concrete speed feats.

Matching The Tarnished against child Link was kinda unfair and on top of that you gave him the full power of the Eldin ring. I feel like it would have been more fair if you used adult or teenage link as child link relies more on magic and other outside help rather than personal abilities. But I feel like hero of the wild vs The Tarnished would be extremely close but idk who’d win. Anyway cool video

I think Sekiro vs Nioh-verse would make more sense. Ghosts of Tsushima, as much as I like the game (and my bro, Jin Sakai) is way too grounded.

You’re like misconstruing what I said. For starters I said death isn’t even on the Elden ring in any of the endings when he ascends to “lord”. I mentioned it nonetheless to explain what wielding/brandishing the Elden Ring in general entails, maybe listen before commenting. Wielding/Brandishing the Elden Ring is control over the concepts that are governed by the runes, this is explicitly stated and I care less about your personal incredulity. He tanked the flames powered by the rune of death at point blank range in a non-interactive cutscene, something the player has no control over meaning the feat canonically happened and you can’t progress in the game at all without triggering that non-interactive cutscene. The Tarnished isn’t immortal? Yea you’re just coping in all honesty.
You can still scale him to destined death by Maliketh for three reason:
1- Maliketh fought and won against the Gloamed eyes Queen, when She had Destined Death
2- Destined Death is still not able to stop grace
3- Blasfemus claw can stop Destined Death

In this context that’s just an argument from ludonarrative dissonance. This kind of logic is atrocious and your using it to dismiss lightspeed scaling bc the constraints of the mechanics of a Miranda flower who happens to shoot beams of light or an enemy that can shoot lasers present it a certain way in the mechanics when the lore straight up says something else.
It’s 2024 going on 2025, understand the limitations of video games for them to be balanced and playable, and to not use these limitations to suit your headcanon. Both of these statues and flowers are legit fodder in the grand scheme of things and this is your rebuttal lmao. It prolly would work against someone who doesn’t know the ins and outs of video game design.

Tanished having both Space-Time Manipulation & Conceptual Manipulation could allow him to beat Kratos w/o the Flame of Frenzy due to the Kratos not showcasing such resistance except maybe the concept of fear through the concept of hope?
Or is it a one sided stomp and the reason its outdated is because of the additional information
As for Malenia vs Sekiro. The Stomp might have gotten so bad that even a Lowballed Malenia just one shots & blitzes wolf while GOR might kill him based on her presence due to SR?
Nah lol, I don’t think the Tarnished beats Kratos remotely, I also don’t think LOFF is outerversal anymore. The video is outdated because the information and meta’s I used were garbo for both combatants and a lot of scaling has changed for both of them respectively since. Kratos has dealt with CM besides hope and fear plus space-time manip in the Norse saga of games btw, but none of that actually matters if Kratos can just blitz the Tarnished and one-shot.
Yes, Malenia dog walks the entire Sekiro verse. I said it’s outdated for that because the information I presented for Malenia is outdated as well but I will be doing Malenia Vs Madara as a collab soon going over her up to date meta so look forward to that!

1- Both Franchise are pretty much the opposite yet with many similarities in the genre (dark fantasy and fantasy)
2- Both Franchise have Goty winners
3- Both main protagonist are skilled in many type of combat (from magic, to close, ranged etc..)
4- Both protagonist are quiet warriors with a Deep lore and story
5- Both famous games (Botw and ER) are important open world wich changed the game industry
I think link takes this the triforce alone makes him invincible he also has infinite magic and he can also turn into fierce deity link who can definitely blitz the tarnished
