Well, the only reason the jury was so big is because the theme of the season is the edge of extinction. So, it doesn't matter how early you are voted off, you are a part of the jury unless you decided to leave after you were voted out. Just like winners at war.

Frankly Chris won because of the RI effect. Sophie had pointed out that everyone had had time to, in a stressless situation, connect with Ozzy. No one realized the same of Chris.
That plus Chris impressively beat Joe to get back in the game and played a perfect final 3 days back in the game. Combine all that with the fact that Gavin’s game was just underwhelming and Julie was... Julie, and it’s obvious Chris was gonna win. Besides they all agreed that Rick, also an Edge returnee, was the biggest threat to win and Chris took him out.

His pre-merge game wasn't even all too bad either, he just made one blunder, but yes in a normal season he wouldn't even have a chance to redeem himself. Chris didn't just win the fire which is an achievement, he gave up final immunity as a display to the jury that he was willing to play hard to get the win, not just get far. That took balls. Also, he had to win the immunity necklace in the first place to do that. You and I watched the show through the editors' lens. The people there experienced far more, and Lauren was actually very highly regarded and well-liked and seen as a great player, and Chris convincing her to screw up and waste her idol on him is a power move. Even if you disagree, the jury saw it as impressive, and Chris sold it to them well. That's amazing gameplay from Chris. In fact, Chris was likely going to lose against Victoria, Lauren, or Rick. He NEEDED to sit next to Gavin and Julie in the FTC to have a shot, and he succeeded in doing so. Again, there was literally nothing better Chris could have done once he returned to the game, hence perfect final 3 days. Ok, caveat: Chris came on too strong at the start of the FTC. Perhaps he could've handled that better.

A lot of Underwoods information came from the edge and I think most people could replicate what he did if they came back.

However if she played her idol correctly she could have improved perception of her regardless since the endgame is far more important than the early game. I’m saying Chris made every correct move he possibly could have upon returning from the Edge. You can say it’s easy but it was definitely “perfect” in that he didn’t mess anything up. I would argue that that reverse sales technique he pulled off was difficult and that not everyone would be able to do that. Also building the bond with Rick for that half idol? That takes real social gameplay, some players who are strong in challenges but not so much in social gameplay like Aurora and Joe? I doubt they can do stuff like that. Oh, and the choice to make fire. There was no precedent for that. Chris was the first one to do it. He knew it would boost his chances and he wisely chose to go big or go home. That’s still a massive risk and it paid off. You don’t need to be impressed but give credit where it’s due. He made the right moves and argued the right points to win over the jury.

Yup there’s gonna be a 16 person jury that’s crazy to imagine because in all the old seasons there was 7 people jury’s now it’s just crazy with 10 people jury’s woulda been 11 in Island of Idols if Dan didn’t get kicked off and 13 in the original eoe season.
Tony won the super bowl game with a full 16-member jury with an EoE as well. If the 2 played the game well, then there's no reason they wouldn't win against Chris. But then again, Tony's a G.O.A.T not a goat goat.

There were far too many people on the jury many of whom they had never met or barely had the chance to talk to. There have been terrible twists but this one was the worst. They may as well put Chris's parents on the jury lol
