  • “Some years ago after I miscarried, my menstrual cycle disappeared. 9+ months had gone by… it was my birthday and I was coming down off an accidental double dosage of psychedelics at the beach with an old friend.
I went into the water and prayed. I looked at it as self-baptism. I asked for healing… and I asked the water for my period. After the beach, I had serious floods of ego deaths and realizations… I was 20.
I settled into my new awarenesses about life, my family, and myself. 7+ days had passed before I started cramping. I was the happiest I’ve ever been to see my red.
From those days forward I kept everything I found from any and all waters in one spot on my main altar. I didn’t call on anything or specify who it was for (I don’t recommend doing this). I just said it was for the waters. I had gotten signs about Mami Wata, but ignored them…
I had no idea it was her… even when she manifested to protect me around some demon worshipers some time after I got my period back.
Who knows how many life times Mami Wata has known me? It took me crying to Legba a little over a year ago for him to “formally introduce us” and show me what’s she done for me.
When I first started doing rituals for my yoni again, the signs flooded my realities. I followed them. I didn’t go to the doctors first. I turned to Mami Wata first.
I’ve had PCOS for seven plus years and had no idea until this year when worries about random increasing weight gain and ovary pain came. The doctors had failed to notify me about my condition. I eat clean, believe it or not.
I continued to manifest my Yoni’s healing and rejected the invasive treatments from my NEW doctor. I started purging with yoni pearls and taking hella herbs and natural supplements. I incorporated them into my rituals.
My last period was so good. I did experience back pain, but my ovary pain was much more tolerable.
Now that I have finally shown my Mami Wata altar, it can grow and display all the mysteries I’ve learned about her beings.
