How do you know that mermaids were black first? Let be say. All life started in waters. Look between your fingers and tooth we have the same fleece like ducks. Our water ancestors where calling the ogdoad, they where 12, male and female. Know that other beings allso came from other planets and landed in water. Check the story of the dogon and their god, the nomos.find for yourself who this beings are.

@@Queenmomefua All life is water. We live in water - only less dense than sea or river, so we need no gills. There are STILL BLACK 'sea people', who have mermaid qualities. Meaning that oxygen is diverted from their lungs directly to their blood streams so they can stay under water even as long as five minutes.
You know about the sea or water people in Africa - right? Where are the white sea people? Just like you do not have white ANCIENT HUMAN RELICS, you don't have white mermaid relics. AND WHITE PEOPLE ARE NOT CAUCASIANS EITHER.
Caucasians were a race of Black Priest and their civilizations that lived in the Caucasus before white frenemies came, learned their sciences, destroyed them and claimed to be Caucasians, just as many now claim to be South Africans and Egyptians.
So stop talking about the 'WHAT ABOUT WHITE' every time someone talks the truth about black. If you can tell me ONE THING that white people say they are that they truly are (except white) I will eat this computer. If you want to know about the origins of white people - when or how, you can simply ask...

When I was younger in Liberia. I almost got abducted by mami wata. Beautiful girl came out of the deep end of the sea. Large afro, dark hair. She held my hand and started to pull into the sea. Saying, oh, come on, while smiling. Knowing I wasn't a good swimmer, I screamed for help. 4 of my friends came and started pulling my left arm while she was pulling my right arm. She finally let go and disappear under water. To this day, I feel like she's waiting for me. I'm scared shitless to go near the ocean. I've never swim by the ocean ever since. I now live in the Midwest of the US where I won't be tempted to go near the ocean.

Im from South Africa and I believe this story is a plot . Those Water Spirits are not so easy to just take you to their sacred palace and bring you back to tell about it , most cases only the initiated ones make it back with a cow or sheep or more for sacrifices and rituals have to be met precisely on most cases , otherwise most people get swept away and never return to the face of the earth or found floating with their brains sucked out from the nostrils.
There are more than just Mama wati , Oya , Yemoja , Olokum Oshun it just depends on which location you at then you’ll find a different water spirit with different attributes that will define how you connect with it , some even have time slots on when to play around the water and when not to or you’ll be swept away . Most communicate through traditional healers and thats where the village get their instructions on how to engage with the spirit
But this story sound way too uncomplicated for interacting with the spirit like it’s just your normal friend, even people with spiritual gifts and who are able to go in and out without any harm are never open about whats going on under water . And they respect and obey the spirit like it’s God , you never speak about it directly but create metaphorical fairy tale stories just to try and give you the idea .

Rather she's a malicious entity that is evoked for quick riches at a high cost to the seeker. She's also sought after for vengeance and other wicked reasons. She's not the harmless, kind creature that this video poster is trying to portray. Give your life to Jesus. He is the ONLY WAY to true peace and prosperity. Selah

Till now i wish i would see one mummy water one day but i know its very rare even though i know I'm a son of the water lol... In my country Liberia 🇱🇷 , the folklore explain that they are harmful creatures that doesn't like people. There are stories that if a person can't get married or bear children, there's a mami wata( mermaid) or underwater man involves. But sometimes people used to pray to these spirits for children. But even if they were granted children by those merfolks, it would come with a heavy price to pay by either the children or the parents. In my native Bassa ( one of the ethnic groups of Liberia) dialect we refer to them as "Nee gie" . Nee means water and gie refers to a genie or spirit.

This is a really cool video! In my culture mami wata just means a merperson, but I guess we got the name from somewhere! And near my family's home there's also a recent tale about a boy who was warned not to get close to the river because there was a mermaid living there,. He didn't listen and the mermaid dragged him down and killed him. On the bright side, mermen in my culture can choose a female human partner and they become the village's healer! And no one thinks that person is cursed, they actually think that person is blessed and to this day they go to them to get healed.

He threw those 2 beautiful things away for something you don't need to live good, it's just a little nice if you happen to have it? Seems ungrateful. But it speaks to her level of actual, strong care for him, for her to be like "it hurts, and I don't wanna do this. But if it will truly make you happy, I'll do it"? That's a type of love right there. I hope someone out there is showing her the love she's shown others and that she can see clearly its not always gonna be bad to show love to someone or something again. She could do assignments on their behalf because they fear to enter some places that is why they use human beings. Be careful with the documentaries you follow especially on TH-cam. This narration is so very, very wrong in many ways !! She was never human but rather a water deity on her own. People from riverine areas know about her and when beautiful girls are born, some are chosen to be like her; alluring and able to bring blessings or curses to those they choose to love. They are always attracted to water and moonlight but know something is different about them and try to blend in but always know that the land isn’t their true home. It is said that they cannot have successful marriages because they do not belong to the land.

this is the story we teach black children? not to be great or different but to be the same as everyone else and live a "content" lifestyle? no wonder our culture is as is. also, a deity "(not the true and living God) took him to an "underworld' warned him not to tell, gave him a "gift" that "changed" him. then he told the secret and there was no punishment? where was the lesson here?
