The door design on these and dodge charger vehicles were not thought out well. There is only one manual key entry. The handles on these break all the time and when you combine a broken handle with a dead battery you cannot get in unless you call a lock smith.
AWESOME, our Challenger is dead because it's been stored all winter and we can't get to the front "battery" and can't access the trunk. I was looking in the wrong place for the seats I thought it was what actually is the tether for a car seat. I just over thought it.
You can charge the battery in-place, or you can use a socket on an extension to remove the metal clamp shown at 3:19 between the negative battery cable and the case of the battery itself. Remove the clamp and set it aside, then loosen or remove the strap around the battery by pressing on the spring-loaded strap clamp, usually on the left side of the battery. Unplug the vent tube that’s near the positive terminal, and then remove the negative clamp, then the positive, and then haul 50+lbs of battery out of the trunk. It can be awkward getting it past the cables and such, so I recommend lifting it onto the spare or some other sturdy surface in the trunk first, then out of the trunk.

Yeah you can't open/close door with a dead battery because it's an electronic windoor door open mechanism. The window will break.

So if I purposely disconnect the battery (located in the trunk) for winter storage, I can't close the trunk. Got it.
