I love Evy. I’ve watched her on several podcasts. It seems like they all pull the same info, ask the same questions differently. I’m 24 minutes into this interview and have already learned new things from her. The magic of Mel Robbins, y’all. Looking forward to the rest of this discussion and will be saving to watch again ❤

My Mother was so wise. She said " you can't make people do, think, or feel what they don't want to."

I believe EVY was chosen for the position she had in the Secret Service because of her personality was that, she wasn’t looking for power, she wasn’t trying to outshine everybody else, she didn’t want it. What better person to have it.

You are misreading her as a confident person. She is an intense person. When she knows what she's talking about, she is detailed and focused.

I observed that often we behave and act like we are on edge even if there is no reason for it... a habit of anxious mind. Confident mind looks for information not for a confirmation of itself being confident.

Best start with not trusting or believing anyone. Time and observation will eventually reveal their character.

I have adopted this mantra of “handle your shit” since in my early 20s. While it has been challenging to see it, clean it up and move on, it has propelled me through things I didn’t think otherwise I could move on from. Thank you for the reminder Evy and Mel.

I concur. When you listen to your enemies, they tell you what their real fears are and it aint even you

So much truth, even just about halfway through it. Politicians do that thing where they don't answer the question but speechify for a few minutes about distantly related accomplishments they want accolades for. And I love the advice to just pull out of the relationship without announcing it and without calling out the person. No need for that drama. Just go on and be happy. You don't owe them that, and they don't owe you whatever satisfaction you would get from calling them out.

Really needed that pep talk on bravery & confidence! Action first. You don’t learn from winning you ultimately learn from your losses 🙏

My husband and I love to watch Survivor. We always laugh when people say, “you can 1000% trust me.” It’s such an overcompensating statement. When you mentioned people swearing to god, or on their mother’s grave, it reminded me of that. It also felt affirming:)
