Why not raise chickens? There is literally no reason to raise rabbits for just meat. Unless you harvest their hides, it's literally not worth the energy cost of the feed grown.
They are not just for meat. We harvest hides too. Our teen also creates his own lucky rabbit feet keychains. The parts we don't use gets fed to our chickens or dogs so nothing is wasted. But thank you.
Faster growth, less space, less feed cost, more meat per year, less mess to process, instant fertilizer, can use more on the animal (hide, organs, feet, meat)… These are just a few reasons that we have found.
