Nice older boat nice set up. I don't know if yours is like my 96 trophy but you should have a hatch way in the floor under the console that allows you to look down into the mid hull off the boat. I love that I can run wires from their check and clean my bilgedrains pipes to the rear bilge pump ect. Without having to lift my seating section of the deck to get under most of the deck. My boat is only 19' and it's a Bayliner so it's not as nice as that boat. She's a beauty though everything still solid and pretty so Im having fun restoring it to as original as possible with better quality fittings and heat shrunk new connections and wiring.

Mine has good hull access you can run wires from the console to the back pretty easy.

Hi I have a 98 Trophy 19 also - have you removed the deck over the gas tank ? Just wondering how heavy it is - also I plan on rewiring and was wondering how the wiring is run underneath the deck or is the wiring running along the wall of the hill?

@@terrymccabe474 Hi again, hey when you run your wires under the deck if you take flashlight and look bat at your gas tank you'll notice there is a piece of plywood just below your deck and above the fuel tank. I ran my wires over the plywood between it and the deck. The only wires I know of that run along side the walls are the interior lights in the back and of course your steering cable throttle cables and electrical from the engine. My plan for anything that runs along the side wall is to use the current wires that I'm replacing to tape my new wire to and pull them through same with the cables. A trick I learned was to tie a piece of thin but strong nylon rope to the wires that are being run to different spots on the boat. Make the rope twice as long as the wire run. Once you have the rope run to that location you now have a permanent wire guide to tie a wire to the rope and pull it through with the rope once you have the wires routed you pull the rope back so it's evenly divided between the two locations and tuck it away for future use. Hey if you have any other questions or run into any snags message me. I'd like to hear any improvements you come up with for our boats or suggestions you might have. I'm learning as I go and I have had to go back and re do things I thought I did righ. So I'll try to keep you from making the same mistakes 🤣. We can bounce ideas of each other to. These are pretty awesome boats and it's cool to talk with someone who has one. I'm doing 99% of my own repairs and improvements it's the only way I can afford to own a boat🤣

the ride is good -- it handles pretty choppy water very nice.
