About half through I though "that Strider pawn is doing pretty good" then at the end I saw it was my precious Nilly. Except when she suicided over the edge Grapnel is very underated. I used to have a pawn with only that skill, carrying Rusted staff and, well it became quite easy. But grapnel is a badass skill
I played the whole game as a Mage, babysitting my Pawn. I specificaly made my Pawn Tank for me and be as active and initiative as possible. This game is the only game i ever played in which i had genuine fun being a support character, while my AI allies "lead the way". I think this is the only game that i played in which i could let AI "lead", every other game kinda sucks with their AI. AI here is def. not perfect but its just "good enough" to feel genuine and fun.
Was just drawing a picture of a tomboy white mage wielding a nailbat-esque staff. Then suddenly get the Mage video and it, y'know, bonks. The whole universe is coincidences.
dude, i never knew that High Grapnel should be used that way. Its a eye opener and awesome to know that some ytubers appreciate and still create content for such a underrated game. Much praise!
Great video, was awesome to see Nihil's pawn. Trying to keep the hype of a possible sequel in check by redirecting it towards awaiting new DD vids from the greats.
Got to love High Grapnel, as long as you practice with it. Multiple Mages are capable of flat-out stunning larger enemies, with even Daimon being stopped by 3 casts at the same time. Other Skills like Anodyne are useful because they encourage Pawns to go around its sigil, thus can help when wanting them to hit a certain enemy (can screw with their pathing though).

My mage main pawn has always saved my ass especially during my fight with Grigori. I remember his lightning whip stopping the dragon from trampling my ass
Bitterblack keeps giving me staves and robes and other mage/sorcerer stuff, my pawn is so much better equipped than me, rip. But I'm definitely glad I equipped her with Grapnel after seeing this video, it's very useful

And even the High Maelstrom is the most favorite Spell i ever Executed on Dragon dogma.. since can send enemies flying into the air , but Mann.. the boss on BBI even has Grand Maelstrom that has more Large Twister on the area.. i don't remember the boss who have that Spell but i guess maybe daimond,or Dark Bishop.

Final fantasy online made me realize how IMPORTANT the support class is… I’ll stick to a tank far more easier to keep aggro!
