Dragon's Dogma is one of the only games I've seen where basically everything is fun and unique. Since it's a single player game the whole thing is designed around the concept of "Hey wouldn't it be fucking cool if [Insert the coolest thing you've ever seen here]" Wanna turn your Pawn into a .65 caliber bullet? We got you. Wanna create a tornado that destroys all your enemies? Pristine. Wanna turn the boss room into a vortex of holy projectiles from your shield? Easy. Wanna beyblade God? That's the end goal buddy. The whole game has so much care put into the combat. Sure some things could be tweaked, but the core gameplay is unmatched. I would argue that the potential power fantasy you can get while the game still feels challenging hasn't been done again by anybody. Not even Dark Souls gets combat as right as Dragon's Dogma did. My wish for a Dragon's Dogma 2 would literally just be Dragon's Dogma with updated graphics, QOL changes, and a viable Warrior Class. I'm terrified that they're gonna fuck up the incredible combat gameplay they've got because the game was received a bit poorly.
Great game for sure! Maybe a bit of an overhaul to some of the quests and sidequests, a better fast travel system or some mounts, more varied pawn dialogue and some tweaks to their AI, a few quality of life improvements on the HUD and menu boxes (probably more stuff I didn't notice yet) would have elevated this game beyond legendary. I've also read that the game had a LOT more planned than what we got, like "end of the world killing god and shit that makes me think of Yoko Taro games" type of plans. Shame it was never fully conceived... but hey, I'm still not even close to the endgame so maybe some of those plot elements are still there. I recently started playing it for the first time after hearing about it for so long and I'm loving it aside from the things I mentioned above and a few limitations from being a ps3 game originally, but damn this game is a lot of fun. I've got a confession to make, i've watched this video on loop for the past 4 hours and its still great! this will forever be a classic
Oh boy it’s going down. Everyone is here!
Didnt think these vids could be better, cue one of my favorite songs at 3:56. 👀👀👀👀

@@elmodia4721 it's "from hell with love" by Beast in black.

Thanks for reminding me Beast in Black exists! Haven't listened to them in months.
Your taste in music is just 👌
the only video I needed to see before starting my first play trough hahaha
I’m so happy you still post on dragons dogma it makes me really glad people still play this game
Love the use of Beast in Black for the 2nd half. Pure Gold of a Video
i lost it at "I love the kind of woman who will actually just kill me"
These are still the single best meme edits for a DD vid Ive ever seen, maybe any video game. Its just so good, makes me laugh out like like a weirdo
You're videos always bring a smile to my face. Editing, gameplay, and humor is always 200% on point. Great job Cringe!!
Love the use of Antti Martikainen music in your videos!
That's what I call good content. Thank you :)
Special thanks for the Beast in Black, didn't know about them before.
Thank you for introducing me to Beast in Black. Cry Out for a Hero and From Hell With Love now are favorite workout music! ^^
Oh, and video is awesome too =P
Splendid, as always. Thank you and keep up the good work.
This video has caused me to fall into a rabbit hole of listening to Beast In Blacks songs on repeat. Thank you.
Memes aside, the music choices are absolutely dope.
This video does not get nearly enough credit it deserves. I straight up laughed my ass off at several points and it was stupid relatable to see some of the shenanigans you pulled off. You sir are a gentleman and a scholar
Haven't been around the channel for a while, glad to see you're still uploading every now and then, i need to catch up on the chonk lord playthru.
Holy shit dude mega bonus points for the Beast in Black music.
The perfect video to show your friends why Dragons Dogma is so worth playing
The most OP is you with your editing skills. this is hilarious.
Teaching my ranger pawn great gamble is still one of the best choices I made in this game.
I have watched this video more than 50 times and it's still a piece of art. The memes, the editing, THE MEMES.
oh man this makes me miss this game so much, DD has the most satisfying combat out of all of the Fantasy RPG games i've ever played, playing as a sorcerer REALLY makes you feel like it, summoning a giant ass tornado, summoning a meteor, a lightning whiplash? fucking sign me up, magick archer, using that richochet skill and seeing your enemies get evaporated on the hallway is fucking satisfying, the homing arrows is also just fucking cool, and so on, the lads who were managing the combat in this game is just the best out of all, though this game still has some problem for me but its fine since its a 8 years old game, they just need more budget to make the world more alive and i hope DD2 delivered it
Huh, I didn't expect to hear a beast in black song outside of my gym playlist, a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
Cringe and Chonk roll into BBI
All the enemies: why are you bullying us, everyone asking
Going around bitterblack isle spinning into everything is an absolute highlight for me. Love the strider and warrior sm
Absolutely love this game hopefully DD2 will let me have a magick archer pawn finally
Hopefully.
no
@@leonardogomesledware well fuck. same classes for pawns as the first?
Boy I sure love installing dragons dogma for 20th time just to play warrior dwarf, I fell in love with Iraklis since my first playthrough- the pure idea of this lad critting bought me instantly. It truly is the ultimate gambler's choice- never tell me the odds im all about it.
I cannot describe how absolutely BASED you are for using Beast in Black music.
IDK why but I keep coming back to this video every once in a while. It's really entertaining and, in a way, informative.
The meme force is strong with this one...
But seriously, great editing. And yes, strider is objectively better, or at least easier
Didn't expect beast in black in a dragon's dogma video, but highly welcomed.
I love how broken this game lets you get
Coz is cool
Try a playthrough with no pawns it's the best version of the game and so challenging harder than dark souls for sure
It is a game after all. They should always push the limit of fantasy.
Amazing. I could watch reviews like this all day.
Glad to see this game so get love. I remember playing the crap outta this game.
1:00
"Tis too powerful" Shouts one of the pawns as they mulch the poor gorecyclops
Just getting into this game, I'm loving it.
* Hears From Hell with Love *
*Ah, I see you are a being of culture as well.*
Ah yes, Fighter. Aka, the "Man, sure which I had a ranged attack" class. Everytime I play Fighter I just wish I was playing Assassin or MK
Or method of jumping twice
Gotta thank you for introducing me to Beast in Black. Holy smokes this is some good music.
"If every vocations op then no one is"-Syndrome
Your video is awesome, but what I'm truly grateful is for showing me the amazing music from Beast in Black🤘
I love the kind of woman that will actually just kill me
Dragon's Dogma 2 hype has me combing through the OG content creators like IC and Nihil's video libraries. I've seen some internet people with weak constitutions and questionable bowel problems bitching and moaning about "boring vocations and who wants to play a support class?" The Mage section here is EXACTLY why I love DD. It's the Necromancer class basically but your skeletons are sexy ass pawns that hit everyone with the BIG BONK. I cackled with glee whenever I grapnel'd an enemy and my squad of pawn minions destroyed the monster. Run forth my minions and KILL, KILL!
God, I love Dragon's Dogma. I played it on release and have since played it almost every year for hundreds of hours every year. I really hope they don't fuck up Dragon's Dogma 2.
Beast in Black!? Impeccable taste, chefs kiss!
More games need to include combos that have to do with literally grabbing onto an enemy and not letting go till you've stabbed it as many times as Brutus and crew stabbed Julius Caesar.
You do that in the first 20 seconds of fighting a good boss.
One of the most epic intros I've ever seen haha
What a great game!
Played it back on jank PS3 but I got Dark Arisen a few days ago and am enjoying a lot playing through it again and the DLC
I hope we all get to enjoy the glory of DD2 some day :p
That would be kick ASS
Saw this after dd2 got announced
I've played this game across two platform generations, beat everything countless times, and done insane things. Then you see something like this and realize there's still more insane things to do. Guess I'm going back in for a Mystic Knight run. Thanks!
Now THIS is some quality content! Great as always infinite cringe!
