I would love this, i love every bit of his content, between the actual advice given in the video to the format he uses to present it. But with all that being said, i understand how much time putting out good content takes, not only the video to be filmed and edited but the idea itself has to be on point, Dan does this perfectly for the content genre he creates and im willing to accept that it takes him the length of time it takes for him to do so
@@gameco5162 you are right. But! Having a target and a deadline causes you to think outside of the box, it helps you focus on achieving. I chose a month and not a week since that’s where I feel the balance between pushing him for a achievement won’t come at the price of the quality of the content and it shouldn’t cause too much inconvenience and stress.
I love that in every Dan's video everyone can find smth for themselves- from beginners to experts. I know quite a lot in the topic of weird colors and parts but clikits are smth compleatly new for me. Great video as always!
i just found a use for the 20 trans-neon-green hemisphere parts i ordered a year ago- cool part collecting addiction is a real problem for moc builders! now i have to figure out what to do with all of my sand purple parts...
So I'm trying to build a lego moc to make an organic diorama shelf for some eeveelution figures. Definitely a minefield of finding out how crazy lego has expanded over the decades. So much studying and potential. I'm building a smaller set right now to better train myself on rockwork and foliage so I have a better idea how to design each section for each figure, for more focused purchasing. Well those clickit heart bracelet pieces actually look like an ingenious accent piece for the cherry blossoms I wanted to have around Sylveon. The tree canopy will morph into the cloud structure Umbreon and Espeon sit on, and those hearts will fill it out in a better way than just too large white/pink limb pieces.
what a rollercoaster of a video, this was fantastic, the deep dive into lesser-known parts was super interesting, and the MOC you made out of them looked amazing, loved the analogy you created along with it.
Dan, can i blow your mind for a moment? The Samsonite gears’ outer teeth perfectly mesh with the Hailfire Droid gear’s outer teeth. Oh- and the hailfire droid wheel gear is 3D-printable. Happy building! - Gears ⚙️
@@GearsAndBricks I don't think there's been any green gears produced before Technic and Bionicle sets in the 90's, actually. (And even at that time, they were rare...)
This video was HIGHLY entertaining. And I get it. We have a local not official Lego store and every time I'm there getting parts for a custom build, I'm always stuffing my bag with parts that just look cool or interesting colors that I probably will never use. It's an obsession.
It's sad that Lego produced so many colors but only uses a very limited palette. I often feel like mocs and Lego sets aren't very visually attractive because of the few options you have for color variations. Like there is only two greys, two reds, two oranges, two pinks, ect. So I love the rare colors too but they are so expensive or hard to get, I prefer to mix my Lego with other brands like Cobi.
This is me except I buy all the powerful artifacts in Lego’s history. Atlantis keys, Ninjago time blades, infinity gauntlet, just anything shiny and powerful xD
Speaking of Light Green and Medium Green, I have a few baseplates in those colors since Paradisa, but they're hard to combine with the Classic Green baseplates in my collection without making things look jarring, you sort of have to do gradients from Light Green - Medium Green - Bright Green - Green, which gets harder since general smaller plates and tiles are only commonly found in Bright Green and Green .... I kinda wish for Medium Green to return, and also Bright Reddish Orange (which only appeared in Duplo sets), as that's about the only tertiary color that's still missing...
My favourite greens are probably bright light green and yellowish green. Need more elements in those colours! 😍🤞 I also got lucky with a couple of bulk buys and got some of those old gears and wheels!
Okay the build that you made at the end of the video is Fire🔥 and also the clikit cobblestone design for the wall looks fantastic too, guess I will have to order some clikits now😅
There were actually two different Gear systems invented before Technic, first the American Samsonite system shown in the video, and somewhat later, a European system. I don't think the different spokes were compatible with each other, though...
Can you try to upload a video like hmmm, once a month?🤙
Dan is Dan- quality over quantity
Maybe if 1000 peoples, like, give a dislike, MAYBE Dan would do a video per month. Or, ya know… probably… someday…

I like to think it's part of the great fun with LEGO: just getting a piece, and pushing you to use it. You nailed it with your MOC!
I actually wanna eat those click it's so bad
when the teacher asks you whats 3+3 but you own more lego click its than her

Continuing to impress! Also, love these monologues at the end, very inspiring.
I think, that pretty soon you will be doing trees out of metal or something

The first shot was me in class while making my LEGO club presentation on colors lol

Mind blown at the binoculars n modulex combo. My god
