The video turned out fantastic Dan! Thanks for letting me be in it too. 🙃 Man this collab was so much fun to make! From the idea planning to building it was such a blast. Seriously some of the best times I've had in the community! Now to wait for June... 😁
Who needs a color wheel, when you’ve got Dan’s color guide? Really like the chill vibes of the video and I hope this video will help people’s future creations
New Dan video?! Loved this one, about one of my favourite aspects of Lego building, aside from greebling >:), and the mention at the end along with Simon NH was really touching. Having been grouped aside him (even if there is still far between us of course!) almost made me shed a tear ;)
This was such a nice and chill video! Also really nice to see and hear from the other boys! I’ll try to keep this tips in mind while building Because those are some elements I am not that good at! Keep going with these great vids!😄😎👌
being colourblind.. the shades look awfully similar, so my builds end up looking wild for other people but normal for me lol, ESPECIALLY with greens and reds/ pinks and orange shades
I almost spat my spaghetti out when I saw my face LOL you really caught me off guard haha anyway great video Dan! the way you blend colors is always so aesthetically pleasing
Wow. This video has some of the best advice i’ve heard about lego in a while. I definitely need to start playing with colours more in my stop motions and try not to rely too much on just colour grading, especially now because i see how much can be done with just using the right colours of lego. Also this video is super vibey yk
The original pink only looks brighter because it’s lighter. It’s a weird words having multiple definitions thing I learned recently. I could be wrong but in color theory “brighter” means more saturated and pure. (Think the iconic classic lego colors) Whereas “lighter” means less saturated. Outside of that context though, we usually use the word bright to describe the intensity of a light. The more intense a light is, the less saturated it’s color becomes, so we associate the word brighter with less saturated.
Man you’re content is NEXT LEVEL, I always learn so much from your videos and I love the way you present everything. All of these builds look fantastic, great job guys. The color guide and tips are very good and I’m super excited to give them a try! Also, pls make a lighting tutorial :) I’ll wait for 2024
This is an extremely good video. Thank you guys for sharing your thought process. Learned a lot, I wish to have all that color palette in my inventory 😅
awesome and useful video dan!!! Please, make a video with tells how to use bricks with masonry profile, because I think that they're so useful and can be utilized in a couple of ways!
Check out my medieval walls and floors tutorial, it addresses that part a lot, I typically don’t use it as often because it gets overused alot in other peoples builds and its’ pattern is usually too simple or plain for what I prefer…
Personally, I like the use of old light gray and old dark gray as contrast colors to the newer blay/dark blay, especially when building something like stone work. I remember being warned against that once, but I like that you intentionally used aged/yellowed white pieces for the same effect. A bigger color palate means fewer limitations, IMHO.
For those that are looking for the secret link mentioned in the video, check the first five minutes 🤐😛🤙
Is this some devious way to improve watch time? :P I have looked through it well over 5 times and still can’t find it. Ahhh
@@RobertSamson253 same thing.
i looked at this way more then i should. i could actually go outside and touch grass and trees while that.
First 3 mins 🥺
You guys should go outside
