  • All-butter pastry crust, juicy in-season nectarines -- can you blame me for falling in love with this galette? Feel free to substitute peaches for the nectarines in this recipe. Printable recipe is on my website here: www.agardenfor.... Thank you for watching.

Never again will I be afraid of making a Paté Brisé crust!
    Thank you, Kevin.
The resulting Galette is gorgeous! 🌺
A Galette is one of my favorite pastries to enjoy. I've made pies, but it's time for this 70 year old Grandma to bake Galettes! Thank you, Keven!
    Well done! 🌷

I like it when “stuff” happens to you during your videos. It’s more realistic and easier to accept when things don’t go perfectly smooth in my kitchen.

It might not have been a good day of filming for you but what a beautiful Desert. Wish I could have had smell of vision as well as taste a vision.

I really love eating nectarines! AND I'm definitely going to love making and eating this galette. You make the pastry making process so easy to do. I really do appreciate you so much for showing us this brilliant technique. I bought some cardamum to use in making some MANDAZI or triangular shaped African donuts. I enjoy it's flavor and will use it for this galette! Thank you so much for this video and recipe! Have a wonderful day! 🥧🤎😋😉🙏

That looks like a perfect summer dessert. When things go a little wrong, it’s just life. There’s no such thing as a “normal “ life...there’s just life. 😁. Did you ever get your fig tree?

Stark Bros notified me that shipment (scheduled for July 9) would be delayed. The other day they sent another email, notifying me that shipment had been cancelled. Boo-hiss -- no fig tree until next spring.

That stinks about the fig tree. Oh well, something to look forward to for next spring.

I just love your recipes, especially you since you're straightforward and speaks with rectitude. My power fluctuates and flips the breaker too, one time my mom was ironing, the ac was on and I turned on an all electric oven to 450°F and it all turned off. Maybe consider upgrading to 200AMP or higher panel and electric service. My mom had ours upgraded by PG&E and there was virtually no problem from then on.

Thank you. This looks wonderful and I happen to be waiting on an order of peaches. The Asian moths have attacked my trees again. 😤

Hi Kevin, I made you nectarine galette. Absolutely delicious and used the cardamom too. Love cardamom. Just a note, I noticed you had a tad bit of difficulty splitting the necs, so I tried cutting the girth of the nectarine and voila, it separated perfectly.
I truly enjoyed your video and will look for more when ready to bake something different. Thank you.

I keep wanting to bake with nectarines, but it always seems a shame to cook an already perfect fruit. I guess I just need to buy double the quantity so I have some raw ones remaining.

Where did you get the nice Marble board you use?

    • @kevinleejacobs1364
      @kevinleejacobs1364  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Hi Mrs. Denise B - I purchased the 16- by 20-inch marble board from a local kitchen supply store. It was not at all expensive.
