This is an amazing hack! I’m really enjoying watching Suzie’s older videos again - there’s a treasure trove of information in them. Buying ready made sculpting putty can be expensive and doesn’t have a wide range of colours. This is so useful to know and you can adapt it by using clear acrylic and a little mica pigment to great effect.

I buy cheap glue on nails from 5 Below, mostly because my nails are so soft from my medication and I don't have the money for pricey nails. I am constantly getting compliments on how nice my nails look- when the design they come with starts to fade I paint them (because they are removable I can use double stick tape and paint the nails on my fingers, then switch them to my non dominant hand- this way I paint both sets of nails on one hand and THEN glue them to the correct hand with a design already painted on)
I don't do nails or get them done but your voice is so relaxing and your work is so lovely that I'm watching as I relax. I'm glad I found y our channel!

I love how this looks. You can create so many designs with it. A lot of people call it gum gel (the acrylic and gel mixed). It's awesome because it let's you work on the design and won't cure until u place it in the uv lamp.

this probably doesn't help but if you're ever planning on getting braces that helps with biting your nails. when my sister had her braces (she used to bite her nails all the time) she stopped completely.

And sometimes I actually think I have none, braces don't effect much for chewing, only if you just got your braces tightened or something then ya

Idea - apply quite a few coats of polish so it's really thick, let it get almost dry to touch (but still wet underneath), then apply a matte topcoat. Use a dotting took to create the design you want. I've never tried this, but I feel like it could work! Someone let me know how it goes if you try it!

I managed to find this Chinese own nail supply store a few cities away from my house, they're really rude, they're Hawks at keeping an eye on you, which I find to be horrible customer service, but you can't beat the price they have. They have non name brands gels and brand names, so I bear with the rudeness, especially since I'll purchase a lot from them. Though the last time I did visit they were friendly, I think they finally read their Yelp comments. 😂 I tired to see if they had an online store, but unfortunately they don't, otherwise I'd share their link.

Not really - takes too long to dry and the Lamp wouldn't be effective
Perhaps instead of making a hole in the polish to show the base, you could use your base color and dot it on in your design. Try googling it!

yes - the only thing is it might not be colour concentrated cause your mixing it with a clear - but you could see other cool things by mixing it :)

UV is just the Light that is used - so any of the designs I have can be done with UV or LED light :))))
