same it got to a point id only ask for basic nails bc that's all most salons can do. they'll usually attempt whatever instagram-esk nail pics you bring it but 9 times out of 10 it ends up looking bad. so i also do my acrilycs at home and they are also now popping lol. i have my short, hot pink acrilyc pointy (soo pointy) with encapsulated glitter, dried flowers, and butterfly sequins in my thumb nails and ring finger nails. :)

The flowers at least. The burgundy color screams fall. If the burgundy was changed to a lighter color (pink, green, yellow), it would totally work for the spring and maybe even the summer too. How nice and versatile.

Just a hint about strong and fast-growing nails. Go to your local health food store and get Spirulina. Within a month or two your nails will surprise you!

I just experiment on plastic fingers these days, but occasionally I'll give myself an acrylic overlay thats the length of my natural nails. I can't do an extension because I'm a weight lifter, but I still like having a little bit on there every once in a while
+Elizabeth Rose if you look at a ballerina slipper and the end of a coffin they are different...some people call them ballerina or coffin..there is slightly more of a tapered edge to a coffin and a slight different edge...best way to see the visual difference is look up gemma Lambert in here she shows you x

Cookie Monster I don't think buffing's real good for your nail. It's like filing the top. Plus, yellow nails don't affect the look of your nails considering you cover them up with polish.
Cookie Monster yellow nails are just staining from darker polishes, it will go away after awhile so if you don't wear lots of nail polish or dark nail polish your nails won't be yellow...so no need to buff
I have been thinking about getting acrylics for my first time but I wanted to get the one without the fake nails and I don't know if you can ask them to get acrylics without the fake nails can you do that and do most salons do it without the fake nails
Breem Dawn I've had sculpted nails for 6 weeks with no problems or breakages and I now prefer sculpted nails to tips by far. See if you can go to a nail tech who is a little more experienced.
Elizabeth Rose i save my money and do them at home. I just have never seen her do them that long and i remembered that one man's nails that she did, she said they might break but maybe that's because he bit them down so short. I am fixing to do my nails and didn't know to try it because i am hard on my nails sometimes because of the work i do. I just didn't want them to break.
Breem Dawn Yeah maybe it was to do with the fact that he had so little natural nail bed to work with as a foundation... You could try maybe doing one or two nails as a trial? Do you do a lot of vigorous work with your hands? I'm a secretary and if I had to do a lot of typing or arranging large files my natural nails would chip from the stress but so far no problem with sculpted acrylics.

+Elizabeth Rose if you look at a ballerina slipper and the end of a coffin they are different...some people call them ballerina or coffin..there is slightly more of a tapered edge to a coffin and a slight different edge...best way to see the visual difference is look up gemma Lambert in here she shows you x

Nail Career Education im 12 and im obsessed with this i have a friend who jas yellow nails (she never buffs) but i do so there always beatiful i have a nude colour on just now
Cookie Monster I don't think buffing's real good for your nail. It's like filing the top. Plus, yellow nails don't affect the look of your nails considering you cover them up with polish.

Cookie Monster yellow nails are just staining from darker polishes, it will go away after awhile so if you don't wear lots of nail polish or dark nail polish your nails won't be yellow...so no need to buff

I have been thinking about getting acrylics for my first time but I wanted to get the one without the fake nails and I don't know if you can ask them to get acrylics without the fake nails can you do that and do most salons do it without the fake nails

Breem Dawn I've had sculpted nails for 6 weeks with no problems or breakages and I now prefer sculpted nails to tips by far. See if you can go to a nail tech who is a little more experienced.
Elizabeth Rose i save my money and do them at home. I just have never seen her do them that long and i remembered that one man's nails that she did, she said they might break but maybe that's because he bit them down so short. I am fixing to do my nails and didn't know to try it because i am hard on my nails sometimes because of the work i do. I just didn't want them to break.
Breem Dawn Yeah maybe it was to do with the fact that he had so little natural nail bed to work with as a foundation... You could try maybe doing one or two nails as a trial? Do you do a lot of vigorous work with your hands? I'm a secretary and if I had to do a lot of typing or arranging large files my natural nails would chip from the stress but so far no problem with sculpted acrylics.
I don't know a darn thing about nails. But i am learning so much. Watching Suzie is so relaxing and so much fun.
