Olivea Rodriguez not trying to be rude but buffing your nails weakens the nails because it is taking your layers of your nails away and then putting on acrylic... Because of its weight it also weakens the nail(s)

Amy Stewart-Karnes I totally agree! But as far as nail techs go, she is much better than any tech at any salon I’ve ever been to because, while acrylic is gonna damage your nails regardless, I feel like she actually cares to try her best not to ruin your nail instead of just goin at it 😂

Hi Ahi - actually I think you just started - PASSION is the first thing you need to begin to be a nail tech - and that is at any age. I started my interest when I was just a kid like 9 or 10 interested in polishing my nails - raiding my grandmas nail polish basket and painting her nails. I think that's when my passion with makeup nails etc started. When I got married I did get some fake tips from the drug store and did the best I could with no knowledge of application. Then I applied for a job (I was 22 yrs old) I didn't even know existed - it was then I learned all about the world of nails. It's AWESOME.

Hi Suzie, I absolutely adore the look of this French Fade and was wondering if/how it could be done with just polish on natural nails for those of us who don't prefer acrylics? (It'd be amazing if this could be a future French technique video :D)

with normal nail polish yes, but gel polish works a little differently x
Also this is longer lasting as it is going to last 3-4 weeks being created in the acrylic :)
You could probably sponge the colours on to get the ombré with regular polish

I feel like you could do this in bright colors from light to dark or from like pink to orange or something and it would look really good as well.

Sophie Hawkins they are kind of hard to get off. You have to leave some acrylic to make your nails not be soft and weak. The acrylic like she said ( in another video)before is kind of like a bandaid and once you take a bandaid it makes your skin wet, so that happens. So, it probably takes 1 week to get it off completely.
Why am I so obsessed with her? I don't even do my nails or really like acrylic nails but I'm so obsessed I love her.

Hi I'm in a bit of a dilemma here. I want to get my nails done like this but I play a few musical instruments like saxophone and guitar. Do I get my nails done like this but not too long or not at all?
That's a personal choice really. Playing guitar, the hand that touched the fret board might have to be short. I know brilliant flamenco guitarists who use acrylic on their 'plucking or strumming' hand, as it actually helps them play better. I would recommend you start out with a short design. You will get used to the feel of the shorter nail. Your next appointment you could look at lengthening the nail a little - and see how you play with the longer length. If it works for you you could try longer - if not, try shorter again. Good luck and happy playing😘

I’ve watched numerous “French fade/baby boomer videos and I’ve tried them all but this technique is the best! I’ve only tried them on practice hands but they came out great every time. This weekend I try the real deal on my daughter. I’m not a professional and only do my nails, my daughters nails and a couple of friends but your videos have helped me do a nice job! Keep them coming Suzie, you’re the best!
