    Very nice looking knife. I like the removable flipper tab and that they give you everything you need to do so. Great review

    I have a Bronze and Gray Myto. VG design, deployment and execution. I am not concerned with packaging. Good blade to add to your collection.

    I love lionsteels crowned spine .I'm wondering if the edge is a convex grind?My SR11 is convex and I'm afraid to sharpen it.

    The removable flipper tab is a godsent in Germany. Can you still open it one handed if you try using the blade? My KUR for example can be opened really easily with one hand even with the flipper tab removed.

    Interesting video...coincidentally have been looking at another Lionsteel blade. Also has the removable flipper and an additional thumb stud. One thing of possible concern is lack of jinping on the flipper tab and the spine of the knife. An issue with this Dirk or others? Perhaps not, since would be used more as a "gentleman's" knife vs hard use. 👍🇮🇹🔪

    • @DirkWerning
      @DirkWerning  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The more I’ve handled it the less of an issue the jumping is. It works great.

    • @matfrenchy
      @matfrenchy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have the TRE (I think that's the one you're talking about), and the lack of jimping on the flipper tab is absolutely not a problem, and it's one of my favorite EDCs. And if you want a harder use one, I'd suggest to look at the ROK which is also a great piece.

    Currently carry a Benchmade with axis lock. Any issues with this opening up in your pocket? Had a Kershaw Blur with s30v steel and it opened up a lot in the pocket and I sold it. Thanks for the video.

      @@DirkWerning Last question. How sharp is it out of the box? My Ultrateck with 390 steel wasn't as sharp as my Benchmade 427. Last question before I decide to drop $260 on the Myto with Carbon Fiber. Thanks again

  • @ShebZockt

    Yuu are exactly right with your assumption about why the flipper can be removed. In Germany for example you are not allowed to carry a one handed - locking knife with you. You may own it, use it but not carry it with you in public. When caught authorities are allowed to confiscate it. And to not take the risk a lot of people carry two handed - locking knives which are no problem to carry though.

      Fixed it for ya. 😉

    • @AtKnifepoint1
      @AtKnifepoint1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Btw, that law requiring a locking knife to be two-handed is discriminatory to the handicapped and elderly or anyone else with arthritis, missing arm, etc who can’t open a knife with both hands. Stupid politicians think less people are going to be stabbed because it takes longer and is more difficult to open a knife. 🤦‍♂️

    • @ShebZockt
      @ShebZockt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AtKnifepoint1 A person who knows how to properly handle a knife will be able to cause harm no matter if the knife is a slipjoint or not so I also don’t think that one handed knives need stricter regulations.

      Exactly. Just imagine all the people slashed by straight razors throughout time, which are even more difficult to control than a slip joint.
