Such a helpful video and this is the way I like to dress most of the time. Really helped seeing your color story. I’m a jeans girl, & only have one pair of loose trousers I haven’t worn yet. I’ll look at your YT video list to see if you made one showing the outfits you decided on and/or wore on your trip (including shoes which take up so much room when packing). Once upon a time 44 years ago, lol when I couldn't afford to buy anything but groceries and pay bills, I thrift shopped for everything. Then later on in life better jobs I had money to buy from good stores, but realized why, I found so many high end clothes and things so I went back thrifting love it. Such satisfaction when you find new shoes for 3. Bucks and you look them up and they are 60 dollars. Or nice clothes for literally the price of a soft drink. Plus my local thrift town supports prison ministry, I couldn't go in a prison to minister, but I support those who do. Refreshing to see others thrift shopping.
My travel trick. I pack old bras/underwear, socks, tees, pants, etc that I leave behind in the hotels. I throw away the old bras/underwear/socks because they are pretty much shot and ready for the rubbish bin. I once had a favorite plain tee that the arm hole was safety pinned with 3 safety pins to hold it together but you never would know under my jacket/sweater. I always alert the front desk plus write a note when I leave clothes to "wash and donate to the needy". My husband does this as well (so I have room in HIS suitcase too). We've had them chase us down to try to give us the clothes back if we don't tell or leave a note. By doing this, it leaves me room in my suitcase for my new treasures plus helps with local charities. I have a "travel drawer" that I put things in rather than throwing them away or donating to the local mission/goodwill and then work them into a couple of outfits on my trip. It would be a great way to pass thrift items along to the needy as well.
Why don’t you wear longer warm cardigans or shrugs? Also please make a video on return to tell us which stuff was not used and which things you missed having there with you. Also share some holiday photos too. By the way I too am obsessed with thrifting.
I don't wear longer sweaters because I don't like how they look on me. I prefer tops/cardigans that hit near my hip bone.
@@KristenCainStyle That is perfectly alright as each person has his or her style statement but just show a few options as they give a very flowing and elegant look. You are lucky to have a long torso.
I bet you find some cool thrifted things on your trip. When I dress for cold I always pack long undershirts and long underpants. I live in Longmont ( down the road from you) and in the Winter they really help keep me warm.
Hello, Ami! Love that you're in CO. I did find some awesome pieces on our trip. I'll share them in an upcoming video. And YES to long underwear!! We saw lots of great long underwear in thrift shops in Norway! You'd fit right in! Lots of wool pieces with lace trim. So lovely! I don't wear wool, so I didn't bring any of them home with me... but I was tempted.

Thrifting is new to me. Cool.
I do have to wash clothes and air dry them. I need to pack lighter as i like to take home souvenirs.

Oh, no! I might be too late. We had good luck at Fretex (the Salvation Army of Norway). Gallery Normisjon was great! UFF Second Hand Lokka. Twice Second Hand. I hope you find great treasures!! Have fun!!

Oh my… I wish I loved packing…
For me, going through the elimination process starting with my favorite tops, bottoms, and layers in 2-3 colors to create a travel capsule where all pieces will create outfits that will make me feel well put together, while I’m not too hot, and not too cold is exhausting.
Then there’s how to go about fitting them into one carry on bag and one personal bag. Oh and making them easy to find once I get there.
Truly, you are the first person I’ve ever heard say they love packing. Do you use some type of elimination checklist? If not, how do you go about making it fun?
