Love the video. I bought this because of the hype and love for Gail Simone. The Aesthetic of this book is also just so great to look at. I’m also a huge fan of that purple. Love it
picked it up also from OPB using that THC2 code and absolutely loved it. the art was great. the story had some dark parts.
Great overview! I'm a fan of this run for sure. It was one of the first comics I followed back when I was new to comics. As a new reader, I had the advantage of not being upset about Barbara no longer being Oracle. I sold my trades long along, so I gladly ordered this omnibus! I also really dig the purple theme going on there.
Would love a follow up video of your thoughts on the omnibus after you've read the series
Looks good! I honestly haven’t read much Batgirl or Gail Simone so this looks like a great intro to both. Will check out the trade from my local library, and if I like that then will probably pull the trigger on the omni. Thanks for the review! Tell Matt he’s got a future in hand modeling

First... also I have yet to see why the 52 is considered bad.
While there may have been quite a few bad New 52 titles (which, out of 52 titles, isn't the worst thing), but I agree. There are several really good to great New 52 titles that get lost in the shuffle when people automatically dismiss the whole thing. The New 52 was my entry into comics as well, and honestly most of the titles I read were at least good.
The only people who I have seen saying that the New52 is bad are people who are super into Superman/Batman continuity that didn't like the way that conversion happened. I don't collect those titles, so I thought the New52 was a great success, and I liked what happened across the titles I collected. I stuck mostly with Green Lantern titles, Earth 2, JL: Dark, Demon Knights, and Trinity of Sin.

I personally haven’t read enough to “rank it”, but I do enjoy her work a lot from what I’ve read. Secret Six being my favorite!!! - Matt

Haven't read Secret Six. I love all of Gail's material that I've read, though, even with Batgirl being last I'm a big fan.
