Big fan of this run. Kelly and Mahnke were a great team. I still hope for an omnibus for this some day. JL Elite and action 775 would fill it out nicely.
I got to say that your custom binds are impeccable. There is zero gutter loss on the spread pages and the books looks classy.
Lehmann bookbinding does incredible work! DFAB binding has been the best binding method for a top notch reading experience imo

If DC makes a JLA by Joe Kelly Omnibus I'd buy it in a heartbeat. IMO Kelly's run is so much better than Mark Waid's.

Kelly also did some really good Superman stuff (The classic Elite storyline .) . Kelly did some good stuff with The JLA, too (Especially Plastic Man .).

My most wanted JLA run, loved Obsidian Age. Then probably Robinson's run.
If you like this run, I highly recommend you read his Action Comics run. IMO it's THE best Superman run of all time!

I have some of this run, but don't remember much about it. Will have to recheck it out. I do remember loving his Superman run. Or at least the first 2 years of it. That had some stellar stories with great art.

@@devilwhite7185 Dennis O'Neal for three issue, John Byrne and Chris Claremont for five, Kurt Busiek for eight issue( probably the only good run after Kelly). The entire JLA book went downhill after Kelly left.

Hey, Mike. Sorry so late to this video. I don't recall ever receiving a notification for it, & my notification bell is on. 🤔 But, I loved this video. Been thinking about reading some old JLA stuff(particularly Waid's run- & his classic "Tower of Babel" arc). But this video has intrigued me, in terms of Joe Kelly's run. I'll have to go through my brother's collection of JLA trades, as he used to read a bunch of them. He loved that title from back when Morrison was writing it, & collected quite a few tpbs. I was going to do the same but couldn't get through Mark waids stuff, this stuff looks awesome though and I love that artstyle so ill give it a shot
Mark Waids run was hit or miss for me too. I honestly think I prefer Joe Kelly’s run overall
